We Love ARUBA and the RUI PALACE

This was our second time here. We can’t get enough and would love to come back AGAIN! Value: You get what you pay for and although this is a more expensive trip compared to other island it’s 100% worth it. Top shelf drinks, food and service. Service: the staff are extremely accommodating and will do anything and everything to make your stay the best it can possibly be! Bartenders are quick and outgoing. Beach and Pools: As one of the nicest beaches in the world it lives up to that title. Crystal blue waters that are warm but refreshing. The beach is quiet and relaxing and the pool is for the crowd looking for a little more excitement. Music and drinks all day. Dining Options: amazing spreads for breakfast and lunch. as far as dinner, the better restaurants are first come first serve. during high occupancy tou will have to get on line about 30 mins before service. personally i didn’t mind it as i waited a little bit for lobster, filet mignon, or lamb chops (just a few of the top menu items). If you don’t want to wait there is always a fabulous buffet setup that changes themes daily. spanish, french, japanese, italian ect. Room Comfort: the rooms are fine for sleeping and showering but they are slightly dated and the suites could use a shower update. but quite frankly that’s the least of my concerns considering we were only in the room to shower and sleep. Overall we will be back again.

Great Get-away

We really enjoyed the it was an adults only resort. There was a nice mix of ages from young to older. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good with a variety of options and the drinks were great! The room was clean with an ocean view balcony and there was a bar in the room with 4 bottles of liquor to choose from along with beer and soda in the refrigerator. The beach and ocean was awesome although the wind could get a little strong at times with sand blowing. The pool was nice and you can also use the pool next door at the Riu Palace (family oriented). The only problem I had was that the lounge chairs are lined up so close together. I just moved one out of the line in order to comfortably sit down. Reservations for the restaurants were not required but you needed to get there early before the line gets too long. The website also says that men needed to wear trousers to the restaurants but found out that pertained only for the Krystal restaurant. Men were able to wear nice shorts to the others. Overall a very nice resort and would go back again.

take care not all as presented

Room was bad, view was good. Changed rooms by complaining and they moved us to what they called a suite. What a joke. Poor lighting, cold floors, thermostats didn't control the temperature, refrigerator didn't keep anything cold. Breakfast was great at buffet, along with lunch, dinner was miserable, wouldn't take reservations, had to stand in line, only served from 6 to 9 PM and if you didn't stand in line they said they were full even if there was 10 tables open. Limited menu maybe three items and you could get better food if you had a microwave for dinner. Wine and Liquor selection had no premium spirits. Beach and pool area was good and if you were only going for a suntan and pina coladas at the pool you may like it. Warm day cool nights. No I would not return and they told me I would have known if I went to their website.

It's what you expect!

Service staff, entertainment team, food, beach and pools all fantastic. View from room 1834 was awesome. Bathroom could use a little attention to detail with updates, but in no way impacted our 2 year here for vacation.

What's to Love

All-inclusive everything: the cocktails, the grub, the utter awesomeness of it all.

No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

It's right in the heart of Palm Beach where you can revel in with white sand, teal waves and Caribbean breezes.

Leave the kiddos at home. It's only beach-loving adults at this resort. Is that applause we hear?

Don't miss ordering the Aruba Ahriba drink. It's a specialty. Order up.

Riu prides itself on service, and here is no exception. You'll want for nothing. Prepare to be spoiled.

Activities all day long. Zumba, dancing, pool volleyball - you can join in or cheer on from the swim-up bar.

Eat, swim, drink and check out all the amenities at the family-friendly Riu next door. You have access to use them.

What We'd Change

Sometimes it can be windy on the beach, but find a quiet corner and enjoy the warm, Caribbean sun.
