line jumping

Food was really good. We usually don't do the buffet for dinner , but this place had a great buffet. Room were nice and clean but, a little dated. Bar service was quick and friendly. The only negative was that one person in line at the steak house saved a position in line for 25 others. Management did their best and served others before them. I hope RIU makes it clear to this party that that is unacceptable practice.

Interesting Vacation

Our first trip to Aruba... Well I must begin on a positive note. The people of Aruba are remarkable. Dependent on tourism, they have raised the bar to a new level. SERVICE is impeccable. Everyone is treated equally regardless of race or position in life. The service in this hotel is a strong "5 out of five stars". You have a problem? Ask and it will be resolved. When you arrive, request a room on the upper levels...preferably above the 13th floor...we had a room on the 6th level with excellent views of all the mechanicals supplying A/C to the complex. Oh yes, there was a view of the ocean in the distance. The building itself is "TIRED" and needs substantial improvements. I have been told they will be doing major renovations in 2020. My wife and I who came to Aruba to celebrate a wedding anniversary, found the adults in the hotel to be occupied with a mixed crowd between the ages of 20 to 60+. The east-west island chain from Margarita Island to Aruba, off the northern coast of Venezuela—are physiographically part of the South American continental shelf but are usually included in definitions of the Lesser Antilles. The winds were constant west to east. The temperature stayed at 81 mixed with sun and clouds. The specialty restaurants do not require reservations but the lines to enter begin 30 minutes on an average before seating. If you have never been to Aruba, I would strongly recommend you take a tour of the island. Strongly recommend DE PALM TOURS. Our tour guide/driver who was named Luis, was an unskilled orator. Extremely knowledgeable with the history of Aruba. In summary: Service - Excellent Accommodations - Fair All Inclusive - Excellent Cleanliness of the room: Acceptable Tours/Extra Activities: Plentiful Average age for the nightly shows - Mixed Disco/Beach Party 20's - 40's Beach - Arrive early to solicit a chair and shade cover Food: Varies greatly dependent on one's diet OVERALL: Had a great time, would we return? Has yet to be determined.

Nice place

Had a great vacation, lots of relaxation, did some tours. The resort was nice, had good food, great service. The rooms were nice however the shower was old, the tub & tile was chipping & the shower knobs were rusty & coroded. The mattress & pillows also were not very comfortable. Also not even the sports bar could catch our local sports. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.

Adults only Riu antilles

From start to finish, the best all-inclusive we've stayed at. Excellent friendly service, beautiful beaches and pool and comfortable rooms. Plenty of dining options and never disappointed with food and drinks. Did I mention no crying babies or misbehaving toddlers. Love it!

What's to Love

All-inclusive everything: the cocktails, the grub, the utter awesomeness of it all.

No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

It's right in the heart of Palm Beach where you can revel in with white sand, teal waves and Caribbean breezes.

Leave the kiddos at home. It's only beach-loving adults at this resort. Is that applause we hear?

Don't miss ordering the Aruba Ahriba drink. It's a specialty. Order up.

Riu prides itself on service, and here is no exception. You'll want for nothing. Prepare to be spoiled.

Activities all day long. Zumba, dancing, pool volleyball - you can join in or cheer on from the swim-up bar.

Eat, swim, drink and check out all the amenities at the family-friendly Riu next door. You have access to use them.

What We'd Change

Sometimes it can be windy on the beach, but find a quiet corner and enjoy the warm, Caribbean sun.
