Overall the resort was pretty nice! Service - all the employees were so friendly. I asked for my room to be changed and they were super accommodating and had no issues helping with that. Anytime I had a request put in through the app they were quick to resolve it! Cleanliness - overall the resort is super clean. They are always cleaning up and could not complain about that. I will say the first 2 nights I was on a different floor and the housekeeping was amazing. Once I moved floors I felt it wasn’t as good. Felt like they didn’t really do a top notch service but overall it didn’t ruin the trip I just stopped having my room cleaned because I didn’t see the point after that. Value - I would say it’s okay for the price you pay. One thing I would say is we had a late flight out and they made us cut our bracelets off at 1 and we had kids who were hungry and told we couldn’t use the Buffett anymore. I have never had this experience at a Riu. They usually let us use the facilities until we leave. We would have had to pay for a full day to continue using for 2 hours. Which I get is our fault we should have gotten the kids fed earlier. But they weren’t hungry until after (typical lol) Location. It’s not a far drive to town but I would prefer to be located more in. Honestly not a terrible location though. Rooms/sleep quality - rooms were typical rooms. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable but overall i could survive. My room did have a broken switch but I didn’t want to complain about it. Views were amazing. I was on the 14th then 6th floor and it was ocean views and beautiful sunsets!

Great Family Vacation
This resort was home to a wonderful vacation for our family. My wife and kids (10 & 8) were well taken care of by the resort staff. Like many, we peruse through reviews and always try to read between the lines... The RIU Emerald bay lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Great value, Great resort! Unique Tips based on our experience: - Get a boogie board and enjoy the ocean - Have breakfast early (7:00-8:00), the new building buffet was our fave - RIULand kids show at 7:30 nightly is a blast for the kids, enjoy it for what it is - The LIVE music each night was typically a better show than the main stage. Make the move to the other pavilion after the kids show - Don't let the little things (elevators, a la cartes, raisins in the coleslaw) ruin even a minute of your day. Be creative, plan ahead and make memories!!

Girls trip
Amazing hotel, extremely clean very friendly stuff. Lots of variety in pools rooms were wonderful. Just could use a little more restocking on the water but overall I would highly recommend this resort.
