Great stay! Beach is clean, bathrooms are clean. The only thing is the Asian restaurant, not great. The food at the buffet is delicious. Staff is kind. Kids were happy with the water slides, indoor playground, pools and the beach. With oceanview, we were able to see a few whales and the view is amazing.

Everything is absolutely top notch except for the hours from 4-7 pm when the bands play on the beach. We understand that this is not the hotels doing but its so loud that you can’t sit on the balcony during this time. it’s enough for us to choose a different resort

Nice experience
Great service, good food. Staff excellent! Entertainment was mostly fun. Room was kept very clean every day. Maintenance issues needed though..the electrical outlets worn out. Can't keep anything plugged in, the plugs fall out. Bring a power strip. I was in the new section this year. The patio railings very dirty, must not be on the daily cleaning list. The blackout curtains were dirty too. Bed sheets need some bleach, a bit dingy. Comfortable beds, great shower pressure.

A solid choice
The Emerald Bay is a solid choice. Excellent value. Food was very good, way too much to choose from. Beach and pools very good. View from room was amazing. Water slides were a blast. ZERO complaints. I will certainly come back to this resort and highly recommend it to anyone.

Amazing Trip
This was my families’ first trip to anywhere and we couldn’t have had a better stay. Riu Emerald Bay has so many buffets and restaurants that it never got boring. It was very clean and the pools were amazing. We will be recommending this resort to anyone that asks.
