Can not trust anyone, not even the resort. Disappointed.....
For the Punta Cana Princess I would have originally given this resort a five star all around. Everything was great. The service is great. The food was okay, steakhouse was probably our favorite. There was a problem with the seaweed on the beach, but that was the entire coast. So we could not control it, and ended up going to Saona, for an excursion to get away to a nicer beach. Reason I give it only one star... is that the resort allows a few vendors to come by the front buffet to sell jewelry, rum, cigars, etc. Not sure if it is a weekly thing, but it was Wednesday when they were there and no other day. The jewelry that is claimed to be real gold is not and we were lied to. There was a piece that was clearly marked 14k and our jeweler told us it was stainless steel. If the resort is going to let people do this to their tourist and potentially new residents, then I definitely am turned off from coming back or purchasing within DR. We have gone to the Dominican four times now. This was probably one of the most upsetting experiences we learned. If the resort allows vendors on their grounds to blantly lie about the quality of goods and basicially steal peoples money, how can you trust them as a whole. Especially if it is a LARGE CHAIN all-inclusive resort. Makes you not want to go to any of their hotels. My family and I will probably go and look at other countries instead to invest our holiday money. And clearly never buy jewelry from any resort. Thank you.

First Timer
We were given pillows with no pillow cases. The bathroom door did not shut completely. The air conditioner was broken and had to switch rooms. Snack bar staff was rude and had to wait over an hour for one plate of food. Alexis at the swim up bar was amazing and was very helpful.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE AT THE PRINCESS!! DO NOT STAY HERE --- WE LEFT EARLY
Our group of seven stayed at Princess Punta Cana in June as our senior trip, and it was hands-down the WORST vacation experience any of us have ever had. We were trying to find a budget-friendly option, but it was clearly a mistake. First and foremost, two of the resort’s staff members (one was named Charles) sexually harassed two of the girls (both 18) in our group within the first hour of the trip— one even went so far as to tell them to “call him daddy.” This behavior was disgusting, predatory, and completely unacceptable. When the girls went to complain to the front desk, they were asked "how could we believe you?" by Mr. Alexander Gomez, a member of the guest service team. The girls immediately felt unsafe and their feelings were warranted by the dismissive behavior of Mr. Gomez, who showed that he clearly didn't take their allegations seriously. This conversation came on the morning after our first night, and we felt as though it would be unsafe to stay another night. Gomez and the staff were unable to provide any refund, despite us staying just one night and having to transfer to another hotel. Our credit card companies have had to get involved as we try and regain the lost funds. Looking past the sexual harassment, which was already enough to ruin a trip, the quality of the hotel itself was horrific. The food was revolting: most of the stations looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days, with old, crusted-over food and flies everywhere. None of us could stomach more than a few bites of anything. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in our rooms was broken. The rooms were sweltering, humid, and impossible to sleep in — no matter how many times we called the front desk, all they would do would be tell us to reset it, which never worked. Incredibly poor quality control. I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE! I have never left a review on TripAdvisor before, but it felt like a disservice not to. This place needs to shut down as soon as possible. Between the harassment, the filthy food stations, and the lack of basic comforts like working AC, Princess Punta Cana should be ashamed of the experience they offer guests. If you're under the age of 40, you will likely be the youngest person at this resort, and will immediately feel uncomfortable. If you value your safety, your stomach, and your sanity, stay far, far away.

Relaxing
If you are looking for a resort to relax the entire stay this resort is for you . If you are looking to party the entire time you may want to look elsewhere . The rooms are pretty spacious however barely any outlets in the room to charge phones . All the bartenders are so welcoming . We had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people like Presio the bartender, Alexis and Mileny. The buffet was good for breakfast . The resort restaurants were ok for what it’s worth I mean it’s all included in the price so don’t expect nothing over the top . We left the resort a couple of times to go get an actual good meal . We went to Delicia de bavaro it’s just a 10 min uber ride . Food took a long time to be brought out but it was fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS. There’s no real drinks so if you’re looking for actual alcohol order a beer . Bring cups (yetis , Stanley’s ) we noticed people brought their own cups for the bartenders at the resort to make their drinks in them which was pretty smart . Room key cannot be next to anything such as cellphones , near any other cards etc otherwise it would not work which was such an inconvenience. Other than that it was such a great relaxing stay! I’m

Not a 5 star- VERY DISAPPOINTED
We chose this resort after reading numerous glowing 5-star reviews and being drawn to its adults-only promise. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations set by those reviews — especially for what was meant to be our honeymoon. I am extremely confused at how this Resort has more than one star by anyone and I question the authenticity of other reviews. Food & Dining – 1/5 The food was consistently poor in quality and extremely repetitive. Most meals featured variations of pork and soggy vegetables. Burgers were often undercooked, cheese had a plastic-like taste, and the omelet grill left an unpleasant aftertaste. Bacon was offered just once during the week, and lunch often felt like a reheated version of the previous night's dinner. The pasta station was the only consistently edible option, but eating it daily quickly became tiresome. At the Caribe buffet (which we had access to), food variety was better, but it was chaotic — overcrowded to the point of guests physically pushing and shoving. My husband often resorted to only eating French fries and rice due to the overwhelming atmosphere. Buffet staff were so miserable and slow with their service as well making it very unpleasant. Service & Staff – 2/5 Service was a major disappointment. Many staff appeared unmotivated, and some were outright dismissive — including a bartender at the pool who rolled his eyes at guests. Very rude. There was also a significant language barrier; without Spanish, basic communication became frustrating and led to unfulfilled requests. We met another guest who suffered food poisoning from the seafood restaurant and was ill in her room for three days — staff provided little to no support. Noise & Ambience – 1/5 The resort plays extremely loud music on the beach and in the lobby until midnight. It was so loud it caused the windows in our room to shake. We were unable to sleep until the music stopped. Despite several complaints, the volume remained unchanged, and staff showed no willingness to address the issue. Usually at a resort there’s an area that has a show- but here it’s loud music where they force people to dance till midnight. Room & Facilities – 2/5 Our air conditioning worked but leaked large amounts of water, creating a slip hazard. Housekeeping was inconsistent — some days our room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon. The beach was completely unusable due to overwhelming seaweed buildup and a terrible smell. Despite claims of daily cleanup, the issue remained throughout our stay. The pool was also in poor condition — with cracks, peeling paint, and green slime on the steps. We even saw guests wearing water shoes in the pool, which we've never seen at any other resort. Excursions – 1/5 We booked a "party boat" excursion through Sunwing that was advertised as adults-only. Not only were we picked up an hour late, but the boat was filled with children and severely over capacity. Again, seaweed was a problem — even in the open water. Flights – 2/5 Our return flight with WestJet offered no power outlets, Wi-Fi, or in-flight entertainment — despite these being advertised features of the Sunwing vacation package. Final Thoughts This was meant to be a luxury 5-star honeymoon experience, but it felt more like a low-budget trip. From poor food and unresponsive service to unacceptable noise levels and dated facilities, the resort failed to deliver on nearly every front. We were incredibly disappointed and would not return or recommend this property to others looking for a true 5-star experience.
