Pueblo Perfect

Amazing. The pools, room, food, service.. we can't say enough wonderful things! The transportation company really came through when I forgot my bag on the shuttle. The concierge at the hotel were incredible. We booked an excursion through the site.. stunning. I've never seen anything so beautiful. The market was a favorite. I wish we would've found it the first night. Restaurants were inviting and staff was very kind and helpful. Bars were great, and pool/cabana staff were awesome. The only thing that I would improve was the noise. We slept with the balcony sliding door open every night to listen to the ocean. It was perfect our first four nights but our last night, we had incredibly loud neighbors. Honestly, it was so alarming I woke up my husband twice because I thought they were breaking into our room. They were not; all was right in the world, but they were extremely drunk and annoying and loud and I wish the party room would've been in another room. Such is life -- especially in a resort, but our experience was wonderful, overall, and we will definitely book again.

Everything we expected

Pueblo Bonito Sunset was everything we expected and more. The staff are friendly, helpful and very polite. The resort was extremely beautiful and well manicured with tons of vegetation and flowers. There were birds, ducks, peacocks and flamingos. The food was great! We enjoyed Tazuna more than once. It was a relaxing atmosphere and we even watched the sun set while having dinner. La Nao was our go to place to eat at for breakfast and took our usual table outside. We ate there for Italian night and have to say the food was really good. A few nights we went down to the Manila bar for drinks. They made the best mojito too! Zao Shen was an Asian cuisine restaurant and reminded me a lot of P.F. Chang's. Their food was really really good. And then there was The Market. You had many options of drinks and dining there. Everything I had from The Market was great. Especially their ice cream. We couldn't get enough of their ice cream. We went to the main pool and the sky pool two days out of our stay. Both wonderful options to enjoy a relaxing day. I would suggest getting there early for good seating. After 10 a.m. you had to hunt for a seat. Service was excellent at both bars. The drinks were made perfectly at the main pool, not so much at the sky pool for my taste. Maybe it was a bad day for drinks, I just stuck with water. I ordered room service once, it took about 45 minutes to get my food, luckily I wasn't starving but I will say, their caprese salad was the best! The beach was beautiful. It is too bad you couldn't go swimming, but with all those pools, you don't need it. The only thing I'm on the fence about is those carts you need to take to go from place to place. Sometimes we'd get a cart quickly, sometime not so much. The longest we waited was 30 minutes to get from the main pool to our room. I had to plan my day around those carts. If we was going down the hill, I made sure we didn't need to come up for a while once we were heading down. Other than that, the resort was rather peaceful and we made friends with just about everyone we talked to. We didn't get hounded with time share pitches, we just declined nicely. Great place to visit when you just need a break from the world and the views are beautiful.

Huge Resort

This is a huge resort which can be good or bad...depending on what you're looking for. There are tons of good places to eat, tons of bars (they will make you whatever you want), and lots of pools! They do provide golf-cart service to get you around (sometimes you have to wait a few mins, but the longest we waited was only 10 mins). The views are amazing (some of the best sunsets ever)! and to top it all off, you get access to the sister-resorts - provides even more variety. Everyone was very nice and provided great service. Some things you should know (or at least I wish I would have known).... *ALL the pool bars close at 5pm - which basically means the pools close, as everyone leaves shortly after the bar closes...you can still swim...alone, without music or beverage service. *The adult pool - means 'old folk" pool. no music, no bar (but they do have bar service). *The best pool (sky pool) was only open for 2 days when we were there, it was rented out for private parties the other days. *The hot tubs were nasty...you could literally see the film on the top...do not recommend. *Its far from town, if you want to go into town...it's a day trip... you can get free shuttles to the sister resort, which is closer, then take a taxi...but they gave off the impression that you could get a shuttle downtown....that's not really true.

What's to Love

The Sky Pool is incredible and offers sweeping views of the sea plus top-notch drink service. It's also a beautiful and unexpected spot to tie the knot.

What We'd Change

The beach is great for strolling but isn't swimmable due to a strong undertow. But the resort offers a complimentary shuttle to beautiful Medano Beach.

Don't feel like traveling? The resort has you covered with five free-form swimming pools, five Jacuzzis, shady loungers and six swim-up bars.
