Excellent experience! Loved the pool service
Our experience was excellent, specially at pool 17. Hector, Ismael, and Parliett were excellent servers. Any time we needed anything they were available. They took care of us and were very curtious and polite. The food was amazing! Our family loved it.

We got scammed
What could have been an excellent trip has now been ruined because a waiter scammed us out of $50 by submitting the tip in dollars versus pesos. We told the front desk and they promised to reverse the charge. We spoke with the manager of the restaurant and he said the charge would be removed. Guess what: we have been scammed. I was prepared to write a nice review balancing what we enjoyed about the trip with areas for improvement, but after being scammed I am just left with the guidance of “buyer beware.” I can’t believe this hotel has knowingly allowed us to to ripped off by their employee.

“Beautiful Resort, But Terrible Service
We recently stayed at this resort, and honestly, it felt more like a large village than a hotel. Everything was so far apart that we had to call for a golf cart every time we wanted to go somewhere—whether it was the pool, a restaurant, or even just to get around the grounds. One of the most frustrating parts of our stay was the incredibly slow service. Whether it was room service or sitting at a restaurant, it would take nearly 2 hours to get our food. When you're at an all-inclusive resort, you expect to relax and enjoy—not spend half your day just waiting to eat. By the time you call a driver, wait to be seated, and finally get your food, most of the day is gone. We just wanted to eat and move on with our plans, not spend 2–3 hours at every meal. The service was slow everywhere. One night, we got back to the resort around 11 PM, and I ordered room service for my son, who was very hungry. The food took two hours to arrive. When I called to ask for an update, they didn’t seem to care—they just said, “It’ll take a long time, sorry.” Another big issue was the timeshare sales. We were constantly approached and promised things like free massages, which turned out to be false. In reality, the most basic massage at the hotel cost $300. It felt like a scam and a waste of our time. We also had trouble on the day of our departure. Our flight was at 8 PM, and I had asked the front desk if they could extend our wristbands so we could have lunch before leaving. They said yes, but when we got to the restaurant, they told us our wristbands were no longer active. I called the front desk multiple times but got no response. The only highlight of our stay was David, the manager at the Marketplace. He was incredibly helpful, had a great sense of humor, and did everything he could to accommodate us. His positive attitude really stood out compared to the rest of the staff. Overall, the resort itself is beautiful, but the poor service and misleading timeshare pressure ruined the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they seriously improve their customer service and stop wasting guests’ time.
