We don't speak Chinese

If you want mediocre service, you better bring money to tip. The service sucks! Pros: Good Food Cons: Service is between horrible and bad. If you want good service, better dish out the $$$$. It takes 1-2 hours to get your food. It's stupid that you would have to pay $30/pp extra for dinner at a fine restaurant, that by the way was not part of the all-inclusive plan. The best part was when a waiter greeted us by saying "Sorry, we don't speak Chinese here." It's sad when there are people who are still stupid and ignorant and assume every Asian is Chinese.

Beach was great-hotel lacked service and amenities

The positive: PB Rose is in a great location right on the beach in Cabo. It is one of the few hotels that has beach access where playing in the water is allowed from the beach. Consequently, the sister resort PB Sunset Beach guests used the beach as well and it felt crowded. One of the worst parts of the trip was the constant bother of beach vendors-they were incessant about asking you to purchase their products all day every day. This ruined the relaxation that normally comes from sitting at the beach-PLEASE STOP ALLOWING THESE VENDORS ON YOUR PRIVATE BEACH! The rooms were adequate but for a family of five, even the "suite" felt cramped. The beds were small (full size) and the fold out sofa was uncomfortable even for boys. There was little to none closet/storage space. But the showers were good! The food was good but the advertisement promoted many more restaurants on site especially for the "all inclusive". The options actually spread out over three sister PB hotels-Rose, Blanco and Sunset Beach. The Rose had limited eating options. We also had a child with food allergies and finding acceptable options was more difficult than we expected. We have stayed in another all inclusive and loved the amenities provided in the rooms (snacks, cold drinks)- none of that was provided by this hotel. The waitstaff service was wonderful. But the overall service was not great. We were met with rudeness by restaurant hostesses and by housekeeping. We were also constantly asked about sitting thru a time share presentation at the Sunset Beach sister property. Again, this invaded what we had hoped would be a relaxing family vacation. Sadly, there were many families vacationing here and there were many inappropriate hats, tshirts and signs with obscenities. Beware that this also seemed to be a hangout for lots of drunk young people taking advantage of the "free alcohol." Overall, the trip was salvaged and we enjoyed ourselves in spite of the disappointment with all the above.

Family Getaway

Booking on Cheap Caribbean was easy. They have several all inclusive packages. After booking I received a email with my flight info and I was off.. The resort was wonderful and met visual expectations. Staff was friendly and attentive. My only complaint was the food included in all inclusive. After 3 days here it gets old. Dinners are not very child friendly. Dinner menue had nuggets and fries. room service menu had burger and fries or grill cheese and fries. Lunch menues bu the pool are WONDERFUL. all items are great. Only one large pool but it is huge. Never felt crowded. Also this resort shares amenities with 2 other resorts but we did not take advantage of that. My child loved the pool at our resort. cons: food selections are the same everyday cheap carribean did not send me any vouchers that my transportation and excursions kept asking for. (But my representative Miseal Saavedra was wonderful when we called or emailed him). Overall we had fun.My representative(Misael Saavedra) was great and easy to reach. He worked hard to ensure our trip was moving along smoothly. We would book with Cheap Carribean again.

A lovely resort

We booked an all-inclusive 5-day vacation at Pueblo Bonito Rose through Cheap Caribbean and we got a great deal. We were looking for something affordable and relaxing for my husband and I and our two 15-year-old boys. The Rose was perfect for us. If you're looking for an entirely updated super-luxury resort, this isn't it. If you're looking for a great location with great service and comfortable rooms, then you can't go wrong here. Check in was quick and easy. There was a brief push to take a time-share tour at another resort, but we weren't interested. If just having someone ask bugs you, then you have really thin skin. It was no big deal at all and no pressure. We had a junior suite for the four of us. It was roomy, clean, and comfortable. I was worried that the beds were listed as "double" and would be too small. But I think they were actually bigger than standard US double size- maybe they were what we call queen-sized. There was a balcony with a nice view of the pool and a narrow ocean view. The food was above average for an all-inclusive. Some good, some not-so-good, but plenty of choices and we didn't have any trouble finding things we liked. I think the best food we had was at the Mexican Fiesta night at the Blanco resort that's adjacent to the Rose. The show there was good too. We had no complaints at all about the Grill, the Sushi, or the buffet. The pool was large and lovely- the perfect temperature. There were plenty of lounge chairs. The grounds were lush and very well-maintained. The service was really quite good- I was worried about that given some of the reviews that I read here. The entire staff though was very friendly and available for whatever we needed. During lunch time, it took awhile for the orders to come out- but seriously folks, you have the Sea of Cortez right in front you- just relax and enjoy it! My husband and I brought about $90 US in singles and were generous with the tips. I think the staff really appreciated it. We travel a fair bit and a resort vacation generally isn't our thing, but the Rose was perfect for what we were looking for this time.
