Birthday week in Punta Cana

Unfortunately very dissatisfied and disappointed with this trip. Was super excited when I booked back in June tho and was completely let down. Was originally worried about coming due to Hurricane Irma. But the flight was honestly like perfect surprisingly but only after dealing with very rude representatives at Copa Airlines whom didn't know anything about the process of pushing back out flight. Long story short no refunds we're given according to them which is a lie. A friend of mine got reimbursed lol. But we came anyway to not lose money. The resort is nice on the outside and the inside is nice too just a little dated. When we came we got upgraded to a 2 bdrm suite from the 1 brdm because maintenance issues. Got to the room it was nice! But the AC was dripping water on the floor and we nearly broke our necks slipping. Lol we just turned it off. The hot water takes about 5 mins to warm up and the pressure lacks-suite also smells like sewage here and there. The beach is completely gorgeous though, the water was nice and warm. The buffet Decadence. TERRIBLE. Most of the meat was undercooked, employees cross contaminating food. I called it out to someone and those told him to get a second pair of tongs for the raw and cooked meat before serving but he went back to using the same tongs. The options are basically the same every day until the weekend. Weekend options are better but the quality is terrible. Old vegetables the food isn't warm-hearted that out too and the immediately started making sure the food was warm since they use those canisters that are meant to keep food warm. Fruit is bad, the alcoholic drinks are just liquid sugar and no real alcohol-everything watered down it seems. The hours are pretty limited too considering it's a resort and it's the main place for people to eat. The 2 restaurants they have where you have to make reservations is a joke. Woman at front desk said they can only put 10 people in the Kimonos restaurant and therefore I cannot make reservations. I'm literally looking at it and it's 1/2 empty. The employees are perverts. I literally had to use a very Stern voice and put my hand in the "stop" gesture at one of the female employees who kept mentioning and talking about my breasts and their size. Another employee-male- kept hitting on me and hitting me even after I told him I was married, not interested, didn't come here for a boyfriend, no, etc and he just kept asking me why and don't I like chocolate. I had to throw something at him so he could get it. Then all the staff started treating me differently. I was getting lied to about how much US dollars equals a peso. People were telling 47-49 and I was only getting 38 for it. I am beyond dissatisfied. I will never be back here at Presidential Suites, use a Lifestyle Resort and will avoid Cheap Caribbean possibly altogether. What an unfortunate experience.

This was our first time in the country and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff at the Presidential Suites was outstanding. Front desk service was great and very helpful, the Dining staff made sure we were taking care of and also the beach staff was also. Now that I have covered all of the five star comments. Let me give you the down side of the trip, it's not a long list, "so me and my wife are coming from dining and the Presidential Suites Tour guide says did you get hear on yesterday, me Yes Sir.. come with me to get your welcome package, two t shirt and the inland drink...three hours later after trying to sell me a time share and repeated saying no, we were able to escape. Other then that it was a great trip and beautiful way to enjoy our anniversary.

Everything was FANTASTIC

What a great resort! The food was great even at the buffet. The employees were great EXCEPT getting a beach towel was like trying to get into Fort Knox. Only one bar but great service and fantastic drinks. The beach was great to walk but be aware of the vendors once you get off the property. Just tell them no.

Worst Resort Ever

I've been to Lifestyle Resort in Puerto Plata several times and enjoyed the resort, so I assumed Punta Cana would be the same especially since it's in a bigger city. However, this was not the case. The resort in Punta Cana is a lot smaller. It has only one bar. The waiters don't serve you as quickly as the one in Puerto Plata. We were there for five days and six nights and only got our room cleaned twice even after making the front desk know. The restaurants are limited. Basil and Tomatoes was supposed to be a reserved restaurant, so I thought it would be great. However, it was just an extension to the main restaurant, Decadence. It was on the beach, but the food was good. The after hour food is disgusting, hamburgers and fries and you can't get liquor after the bar closes. The Casino and bar is tiny and is the only place you can go for liquor until 3am. The lounge beds don't get cleaned until the end of the night, so there's wet sand everywhere and you have to clean it off. The main restaurant is tiny and fits only a few people. The same breakfast is cooked every morning and I found hair in my eggs. Basically I will never come back to this resort.

Presidential Suites Punta Cana: A Boutique Experience on a Beautiful Beach

Joining the Lifestyle family of resorts is the Presidential Suites Punta Cana, an intimate getaway on gorgeous white sands. The hideaway benefits from the Caribbean atmosphere and rejuvenating climate, making for the quiet vacation you've been looking for. The spacious suites come fully equipped with the comforts of home such as a modern kitchen, a dining room, and ample living space. Coming here will be like hitting the slow-motion button on your life. The hotel is located on Cortecito Beach with shopping and local bars and restaurants right next door!

The 8 multi-story buildings are complemented by 2 free-form pools that casually wind among the buildings and balconies. The modern-looking pools are incredible even at night, when you can kick up your feet and enjoy one of the specialty drinks like the Banana Mama. Also, the hotel shares watersport facilities with the neighboring Vista Sol hotel. There are regular aerobics, water games and other beach activities to join, while the little ones can amuse themselves at the kids' club.

Two a la carte restaurants are staffed with friendly service. Choices include Japanese Teppanyaki, Italian or a buffet filled with various flavors and styles. There are 3 bars to choose from, too. The 2 beach bars, Utopia and Spirits, make relaxing on the beautiful beach an experience you just cannot miss. Nirvana Beach is private access, and you can relax on the comfy beach beds while enjoying beachside service.

There isn't a party atmosphere to avoid for some quiet time like you would find at the bigger all-inclusive resorts. However, there are still some daily and nightly entertainment options on select nights to get your groove on without getting too out of hand. Events include participation shows, karaoke, live singers and more. But if you are looking for a beach-party extravaganza or a romp in a casino, there are plenty of options in the area.
