Beautiful Resort

Its a gorgeous resort, but the service kind of sucks. The day we arrived we were greeted nicely and check in was easy, but once we were checked in we had no guidance or had no idea where our room even was. We had no idea who to contact regarding activities that the resort had to offer. It took a couple of hours trying to figure things out. Also, the most annoying part was trying to get drinks. Every single close by place we went to had " Royal service" only... so there are only certain bars at certain times dedicated to all inclusive. Overall its a beautiful resort, but service need to improve.

Upsetting

I was super excited to celebrate my 30th bday in Cancun and hearing amazing things about this resort I just knew I had to book it. We arrived around 4pm and the bell men were extremely nice. But once we got in to check in we were treated very poorly. Not only did we get lost in the resort because no one took the time to take us but we walk in and the AC is not working. It’s Cancún it was extremely humid. Everyone was tired from the flight, dehydrated and now no AC. So I called the front desk and they sent someone to fix it. The guy said it should start to cool off. Nope, it didn’t. Long story short is took them 2 hours to finally say ok we will change u rooms. The food was not great at all. The bottle of tequila they gave us for bottle service in the cabana was mixed with water because it didn’t taste like tequila at all. So paid $ for nothing. Just very disappointing. Thought this was going to be a memorable trip and all I remember were the bad things. My sisters and I still managed to make the best of it but if you want to stay here make sure u do alllll your research b4 doing so.

Not what I expected

Okay so first things first the hotel is beautiful itself so no complaints there. That might be the only positive thing to say. It’s been 4 days since I got home and I’m still scared of one of the ladies that work there. Her name is Mabel. We had bought some tickets in the airport (which is way cheaper than online so I recommend maybe doing it) maybe because you have to sit through a stupid 2 hour timeshare presentation. But that’s another thing on its own. I heard that they (the staff) don’t want you going to another hotel because they want you to sit through their presentation instead. We snuck down early to see if we could sneak away from her but there she was. I told her we were going out for a walk but she continued to follow and annoy us. It’s like she smelled my lie. We left the hotel almost running away from her. While we waited for our taxi guess who came looking for us. Mabel. On some Michael Myers crap. And it’s not like this was right outside the door. It’s like a 5 minute walk down the hill. Literally 10 minutes of me telling her to leave us alone but she wouldn’t. That’s how persistent these ppl are. On some stalker level type ish. But she finally left us alone after I told her that I’d tell her supervisor I wouldn’t come back to the hotel and I’d blame it on her (I’d never come back anyway). Here’s why: 1. Food is terrible! From the buffet to the restaurants everything sucks and I’m usually not picky whatsoever. 2. There was no ac in the whole place. 3. Boring. 4. Mabel. Thats how badly she ruined our vibe. Me and my wife make the best out of everything so which is why we enjoyed our vacation and our stay there anyway but to be honest I’d never go back there. If you’re in your 20s looking for a good time I recommend going somewhere else. If you’re 40+ with wife kids and grandparents then maybe this is the place for you.
