Oct 23, 2025Beautiful Grounds, Fun Stay, But Rooms Need an Upgrade
We spent a week here celebrating a friend’s birthday with a large group that included several kids. Overall, we had a great time — here are some quick pros and cons. The Grounds & Beach: The resort is beautiful! It really feels like you’re walking through a small tropical town. It’s quite large but still walkable, and there’s a convenient trolley if you prefer not to walk. The beach area itself is small, but the pool overlooking the beach has an amazing view and plenty of seating. The food at the beach bar is very good — highly recommend the meat lovers pizza and the ceviche. Food & Dining: The food overall is decent — nothing to rave about, but you’ll always find something to eat. You need reservations for the Japanese, Italian, and steakhouse restaurants. The Japanese spot books quickly and has the best food in my opinion, followed by the Italian. The steakhouse was just okay, and large groups (over 12 people) can’t sit together there. One thing to note: you can’t eat by the lounge chairs because of the coatis (they’re everywhere and very sneaky!). They’ll grab food or dig through your bags, so cover your belongings with a towel and never leave snacks in strollers or diaper bags. Also, you can’t take food back to your room. Rooms: We stayed in the Daisy section. The room itself was fine but felt outdated and a bit run down — the sofa covers even had rust stains. It had a generally damp, musty feel and could really use a refresh. I would have complained, but I didn’t want to start my vacation that way and came prepared with a small air purifier and a portable dehumidifier, which helped a lot. Entertainment & Activities: The kids club was amazing! The staff, especially Anna, were incredibly sweet and attentive. They had so many fun games and activities by the pool, and the kids loved every minute. The nightly shows were also great for families, and the karaoke at the piano bar (adults only) was a blast — Ken, the host, made it extra fun! Overall: Beautiful resort with lots to do, great entertainment for families, and a few standout staff members who make the stay special. The food and rooms could use improvement, but the atmosphere and service make up for it.

This resort was awesome. There was always something to do and the food was great. What really made our trip special was when we upgraded to privillage and had Allen assigned as our butler. He went above and beyond to give us a great trip. Everything we needed any time or day he was there for us. Even his day off. Ocean Rivera paradise is lucky to have him.

El Beso pool bar
We had Jennifer Lopez here at the El Beso pool bar and she was fantastic and very attentive. Love her ❤️ drinks were well made and delivered fast. She is awesome.

Amazing experience because of Allan
Ocean Riviera Paradise was amazing, great rooms, clean resort, good food, and lots to do. But what really made this trip was our butler, Allan. From day 1, Allan seemed to know what we needed before we did. Whether it was dinner reservations, rides around the resort, or just checking in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, he handled everything. What really impressed us was that even when he wasn’t officially working, or was on his day off, he was still texting to make sure we had everything we needed. That kind of customer service is rare. One night we talked about ordering McDonald’s, and Allan actually offered to pick some up on his way to work the next evening. It’s the kind of small gesture that tells you how much he genuinely cares about his guests. Without Allan, our vacation would’ve been a typical, above-average resort. But because of him, it became something special that we’ll always remember. We’ll absolutely be coming back, and it’s because of Allan.

Customer Driven Service!!!
Jenifer at pool side service was awesome!!!! Lily our Butler was awesome!!!! I would recommend this resort it was a 15 out of 10!!!
