    So, I won't drag this out. My stay at this nightmare hotel began the next morning when I saw dirty stains on the sofas and chairs. There was black hair in the bed and in the shower. The dispenser on the shampoo bottle in the shower was broken. Remember, this was the first day. On the second day, someone replaced a $100 bill in my bag in the room with a fake one. Yes, I am trusting and left my bag in the room when I went to lunch. But this is a 5-star hotel, I thought, what kind of theft is this, but no. By the way, they never found out who did it, even though this happened on the second day of my stay. Seriously? There are few CCTV cameras in the hotel, so if something more valuable than my $100 is stolen, forget it. Food. The first three days were interesting, but there wasn't much healthy food. I'm from Europe, and the buffet is not really designed for Europeans. There aren't many greens, vegetables, or low-fat foods. But wait, we're getting to the most interesting part. You can book a restaurant at this hotel, so my friends and I booked an Italian restaurant. While waiting for our order at the restaurant, we saw a man preparing Caesar salad among the people, and he had a lot of lettuce. We decided that there weren't enough greens in our order and asked for just lettuce leaves. Attention, the lettuce leaves smelled like bleach! The lettuce leaves had been washed in a chlorine solution! People didn't notice this because when the man was preparing the salad, he mixed all the ingredients and the dressing, but we asked for just the leaves. My friends made the mistake of paying for a long stay at the hotel. During the last three days at the hotel, I developed severe diarrhea, even though I had been eating carefully the whole time, given the appalling sanitary conditions. By the way, the pills cost $30 in the brand store. The reception offered to use the services of their doctor, but thank you, I was not ready to die, seeing what was going on in their complex as a whole. By the way, I am still treating the effects of poor-quality food. Please, I beg you, do not take a vacation here for more than three days to see the sights, especially if you have children. It was my first time in the Dominican Republic. And my last. You are the face of your country, and you have successfully managed to ruin the opinion of it.

    Do not recommend

    First night we showed up and our room smelt like mold. They moved us to another room where the sink leaked water all over. We called and asked for a crib 4 times within a 12 hour period. Finally got a crib. Also, front desk called and said they would throw in a free excursion for all the hassle. That never happened either. We have been to several all inclusive resorts in the Dominican and this by far has been the worst.

    Sunny skies and warm, friendly staff

    The rooms were nice, the bed was comfy, and the grounds were very well maintained. The beach was beautiful for the first half of the week and then the seaweed came in. They tried to clean it but the seaweed won. The lagoon has a net to keep the seaweed out so it was very pleasant to swim there. I will definitely return to this resort for the staff. They were helpful, warm and a joy to talk with. Our maid, Yokennedy, really saved us! We left our safe open and we she saw it, she took action to make sure our belongings were protected! I really appreciate her honesty and concern! Our butlers, Alexander and Dieby were outstanding! They were friendly and expertly took care of needs. Our favorite bar tenders were Hector from the lobby and Jhon from the Privilege pool. They just brought a fun energy to the day and we looked forward to seeing their bright smiles. Ana Christina from the Privilege restaurant was my Spanish coach for the week. When I told her I was learning Spanish she helped me practice daily! She was fun and a great teacher!
