Nice hotel- timeshare sales too much
Honest review We recently stayed here for 10 nights for our honeymoon. The hotel is very nice and spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned daily and the mini bar was replenished daily to a good standard. The buffets were good, the restaurants weren't really much more impressive than the buffet, but a nice option. The hotel staff are obviously used to American guests so tipping is essential for good service. The entertainment was good, especially the entertainment staff. Barbie and the really tall guy, really work hard to interact with guests. The same shows are on dependent on the day of the week so after 1 week it would be a bit boring. The premium upgrade in my opinion was not necessary extra. The worst part of the trip would be, being bombarded with staff trying to get you to commit to a time share. We tuned down the "special breakfast" where your concierge meets you to try and sell you one. They then called our room to try and convince us to join. Then every! Morning they hang around the breakfast buffet trying to encourage you to buy one. Ive been to resorts that push them before but in my opinion this was excessive compared to the others. My advice to the hotel would be, once the conseirge approach guests about it at checkin they should leave it there. Also disguising it as a "special breakfast" is very misleading. The beach vendors are a bit much, I know alot of guests avoided the beach due to this. But that is really outwith the hotels control. Overall a clean hotel, with good food. The sales pitchyness was the main thing that let's it down.

Honest review
The place is spotless, very clean and tidy, bed was very comfortable and plenty of space in the room house keeping where on the ball we got our beds made every day new towels and mini bar stocked up could not fault how clean and tidy everything was, The entertainment staff where absolutely amazing im not normally into that kinda stuff but there where top notch ! Welcoming friendly and get you involved. How they kept going I don't know. The food was very good the buffet was very well stocked with various different food. They have 7 restaurant that can be a hit or a miss but over all very good, The beach is amazing. The bad bits, hard to relax on the beach as venders are on you like flys to poop!! It got on nerves after the 10th person coming up to you trying to sell you something. By far the worst point is the "special breakfast "the offer you but actually they waist half a day of your holiday trying to sell you a time share and they don't take no for an answer untill you really start having to tell them No I'm not interested. Overall good but I wouldn't do any more than 1 week as it like the truman show every day is the same and can get very tedious. Hard to go out and about in the local area as it's not safe. Worth going but won't go back 3.5 star honest review

Nice resort, nice people, great beach
This resort has so much to offer, and several staff members truly deserve recognition for their hard work! We stayed in room 9315, which was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The pool bartenders, Antonio and Willy, were fantastic—always fun and full of great energy. The lady at the ice cream shop provided amazing service as well. At the buffet, make sure to visit Yanny! She’ll feel like part of your family by the end of your stay. Our absolute favourite bartender was Alexander in the front lobby. His presence is infectious, and seeing him every day was a highlight of our trip. We’ll genuinely miss all of them. So many employees went above and beyond—from the cart drivers who helped everyone get around, to the talented pianist at the piano bar (I could’ve listened all night), to the lively nightclub staff who kept the evenings fun. The pools were spotless, and we never had trouble finding a chair. Overall, the staff made this an unforgettable experience.

Amazing Holiday!
Apologies its taken me a while to write this review. If you dont want to read it all here is the short version. Food - Great Booze - Great Staff - Great Room - Great Pools - Great Entertainment - Great Hotel - Great We are a family of 4 from the UK and stayed for 2 weeks from the end of August to the beginning of September. We had an amazing time and did not want to leave. 100% would love to come again and have recommended it to so many people back home, some who have already booked to come. Food - Amazing. Buffet was always good, lots to choose from so always had things we liked. Different options every day too so there was always something new. Tried every A La Carte restaurant apart from the French due to the kids not being 18 yet - all of them were amazing and the service was great. Somehow Bienvenido seemed to be working in every restaurant we went to and always looked after us. Great guy and amazing service. Bars - to be honest I loved all of the bars and had amazing service from everyone but the beach bar was my favourite place, not only for the much needed sea breeze but also due to the fantastic Ramon and Juana. They were always smiling and singing and was happy to see us every day. They brought drinks when we were running low or when I looked thirsty (had no beer!). They also saved the only large glass they had for my beers which was great! Please go down and see them as they are both lovely. Bienvenido (not the same one as the restaurants) from the busier pool bar was great too and made us some great cocktails! Sports Bar - they opened 6 hours early so my Son and I could watch a Premier League Super Sunday match. Great service and great aircon! Piano Bar - very chilled and amazing on a hot evening with the aircon. Great drinks and an amazing Pianist. Lobby Bar - 'Sexy Black' at the lobby bar was so good, always smiling and making people happy. His singing was his party piece. Shops - bit pricey but have most things you need if you run out. Antibiotics behind the counter saved a visit to the onsite doctor! If you like crisps then take them from home! Entertainment - the entertainment staff were fantastic and seem to work far too many hours when you see them first thing in the morning, all day and then last thing at night! The Silent disco's in the lobby bar were hilarious and definitely our favourite. Beach - we went when there was lots of Sargassum. Hotel was great and was clearing it all day every day. Never caused us an issue. Rooms - very spacious, cleaned daily and mini bar restocked daily. Can't complain. Shuttle Bus - very handy to get around especially when it was hot. Drivers were always friendly and stopped to check if you needed a lift. I would return every year and so would the kids but unfortunately the Mrs likes to try somewhere new each year. I will just have to leave her at home next time!

Nice place but probably better choices
My wife and I have been members for 20+ years. We have enjoyed Ocean Blue and Sand as well as other H10 Hotels. but have had some concerns recently. PROS: Wonderful Room Staff, very attentive, very accommodating Daniel at the privilege pool area was excellent, always smiling, always attentive as well as the bartenders on the beach and in Villa Marina area. Pool was great, beach was nice. Food was very good and most of the wait staff were very cordial and helpful. CONS: Our butler Albin was pleasant but not very helpful or accommodating. We asked him to intervene for us as we were charged for a steak and lobster dinner, but should have been charged for a steak upgrade only. He never returned the call. $125.00 more than we should have been charged! We are still working on that one! Activity schedules were sent to us early afternoon, we missed most am activities. We spoke to the food and beverage mgr. regrading an upcharge on the beer choices as we were "Privilege" (All inclusive) members but were told it was still an upcharge! 6 dollars a beer or 6 for 36.00?? Not many higher end choices as in the past and we visit every year! Breakfasts in the Villa Marina could have been much improved had the staff assured the meals were hot. pancakes were cold each time we had them, bread baskets were not delivered consistently. A shame because the variety was nice. Staff never anticipated needs in the restaurants, always needed to ask for refills. Mike's coffee house is always great! All in all, I would like to speak to a competent representative, but understand that they may not be interested in our conversation. Definite change in the caliber of service over the years! There are always other choices!
