    January escape to paradise

    The resort is indeed a bit dated but the price was right. After spending a few days watching the ocean from the pool we decided we will return despite not being the level of luxury we are accustomed to. Our priorities are pool, ocean and staff so we were more than happy in the end. Food was average for a resort but it was plentiful and having the snack areas in the premium lounge and bar was very handy.

    Book somewhere else!!

    Place is very old & outdated. Long lines to get into the buffet. Once you get in, it’s crowded & food isn’t great! Lots of empty trays that they don’t replenish. The best part about our stay was the beach!

    Will not stay again

    Showers ran hot the color very fast. Could not control them. Our friends in another room had the same issues. Room keys did not work twice. Food was not good.

    Wonderful time at Occidental Tucancun

    We had a wonderful stay—every staff member was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The beach was absolutely beautiful, and the hotel was spotless throughout. Great service, great location, and a very relaxing experience overall.

    Terrible - Disappointing

    When I say a negative 1 that’s just what it is the food and alcohol was the worst. The only thing I enjoyed while I was there was the view from the balcony. I was there for 3 nights and one day enjoyed at another resort while using a day pass and when I tell you a whole difference I mean that. Don’t waste your time or money. Enclosed are pictures also
