    Great place

    I have been here twice, and it’s one of my favorite places. Entire staff is super friendly. The food is really good, and there’s something for everyone to do.

    Beautiful hotel and loads of amenities

    Occidental at Xcaret as an all-inclusive resort definitely checked all the boxes. From the beauty of the hotel, friendly staff, and assistance in coordinating our off-site excursions I was very pleased. I would definitely recommend to anyone that hasn't been to the Maya Riviera. Thanks

    All inclusive

    We found the staff friendly and helpful, the food was abundant and varied. Our room was clean. There were a few things that needed a bit of maintenance, i.e. broken sun loungers on the beach. As an all inclusive the drinks flowed and we thought that the bathrooms could have been cleaned more frequently (finding vomit in a sink and many smelling of urine)

    Good Budget Resort.

    This was our first time to an all inclusive and to Mexico so we don't have anything to compare it to other than I travelled a lot during my career and from that, I would rate this resort as a 3.5 star. The location is excellent - a 3 minute walk to Xcaret park. The grounds beautiful, pool and beach were nice. The rooms are outdated and need improvements and the food is subpar (2 star) at the buffet. It's not often you can get into the restaurants, so we were either out of the resort for food or ate at the buffet. The drinks are definitely watered down is also something we noticed as well. It's clean and the service is good. The value for a budget resort is there. I would recommend it if you want to visit the Xcaret parks for sure, but without them, I would not. Essentially, the food and rooms need improvement. The staff, location, and grounds are great.
