This was a private, out of the tourist rush, kind of place. It felt like a tropical haven. I enjoyed every minute, and was sad when it was inevitably time to leave.

Great stay

We enjoyed a fabulous 16 day vacation the middle of December. Booking prestige level, we checked in at the Royal Level reception and were able to get their assistance for pretty much anything including al a carte reservations. The accommodations are spread out in blocks around the resort. Our large, king, ground floor rm had a lovely patio and jungle view. Great spot to sit and watch the wildlife or a tropical rain. It was perfectly situated just steps from the adult pool, boardwalk to beach/activities pool and Royal reception. The housekeeper kept the rm spotless and stocked with more than enough clean towels (no wash clothes), bottled water, beer, soft drinks. Lots of hot water for showers. The main buffet served selections of tasty breakfast and dinner foods. The ocean front restaurant was open for lunch buffet (best burger I’ve had at an AI) and al a carte seafood in the evening. There was also a Mexican style and Italian (best steak) al a carte and late night pizzeria. Reservations were required at Al a cartes. In our opinion the buffets offered a great and tasty selection of foods - choices from every food group. The staff at the activities pool kept everyone engaged. As the name suggests, the relax/adult pool is for adults to chill at. Both have great bar service. The beach is small but beautiful with loungers under the palms. Great snorkeling right off the shore. We enjoyed the singing duo at the lounge bar. Can’t comment on the disco, gym or spa. All the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. This resort is perfect for relaxation and a base for snorkelling and scuba diving. There is no bus service on the island so a taxi (300 pesos one way to town) or rental car is required.
