My family and I stayed here for a week and it was absolutely lovely! It was beautiful and the staff is absolutely wonderful!! Juanita is the sweetest, so attentive and kind!! Loved seeing her face around the pool area!! Juan Carlos helped us book two different excursions which were both so much fun!! Willberth and Brisa were also so fantastic in the restaurants! We went for my brothers 18th birthday and they made it so memorable!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to all the amazing staff!!

Amazing staff at the Occidental Cancún
We had a wonderful experience at the Occidental Costa Cancun. It is a small resort that made for a wonderful, low key vacation. The hotel bar closes by 11 pm and there is no on-sight late entertainment, so if you are looking for a place that has clubs, casinos, etc, you have to go downtown for all of that. The staff was wonderful- specifically Antonio Urbano as well as Ruben at the Claraboya. They were both so friendly, attentive, observant and genuinely kind. They knew our orders by the second day we were there. Juanita was our server by the pool and she was a delight. She also knew our orders by the second time she served us and she kept our cups filled continuously! If you are going to the occidental cancun, please don’t forget to bring cash (preferably pesos) for tip money, because the staff absolutely deserves it.

The hotel is smaller than expected. The rooms are clean but on the older side and could do with some updates. The resort was quiet . Food was average to good. We always found things we enjoyed. What made our stay most enjoyable was the staff, particularly Antonio and Ruben in the Breakfast buffet/ seafood restaurant. They were particularly attentive and accommodating. They had a way of making us feel special. Included in this is Juanita , server at pool and Feliciano bartender.
