Beautiful place, wonderful staff, many food options, rooms and pools were awesome. We were on the outer side of the resort so a little noise with construction next door but workers were friendly and wasn’t too loud.

Great overall resort for families with and without kids
The resort was great. Different pools for everyone (party, chill etc). Food was great especially the steakhouse. Kids club offered really great activities and in general the activities offered throughout the day around the main pool were excellent. Night activities were really high quality - best I've seen at a resort. Starling was our concierge and really attended to our needs every day. Got our restaurants booked and took care of our day to day comforts excellently well.

Fantastic staff at a beautiful resort!
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Dreams Onyx Punta Cana and cannot say enough good things about this resort. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent with great variety and quality across the resort. Every meal felt well thought out and enjoyable, which really added to the overall experience. A huge highlight of our stay was our butler, Albert. He was truly outstanding—so attentive, friendly, and professional. Albert helped us with restaurant reservations, checked in on us every single day, and genuinely made sure we had everything we needed. His level of care and attention made our vacation feel effortless. We will 100% request Albert again on our next visit. Another standout was Nelli at the Preferred Pool bar—she is an absolute star. She took such great care of us, remembered exactly what we liked, and even made our piña coladas fresh in the blender instead of using the slushy mix. Those small details made a huge difference, and her service was warm, personal, and exceptional. We very much hope to see Nelli again when we return. Overall, this is a fantastic resort with incredible staff who truly elevate the experience. Well done, Hyatt—10 out of 10. We would absolutely return without hesitation.

Heaven for a week
This is a lovely resort. We stayed in the Preferred Club, room 5388 (Junior suite, ocean view). Nelson was our butler for the week, and he rocked! Little touches like dark chocolate covered strawberries in our room as a surprise, dinner and spa reservations, and just checking on us to make sure our needs were being met - he elevated our stay. Our room was very nice, and overlooked the Preferred Club pool, plus an ocean view. The room was soundproofed well, as we were close enough to the evening music that we could clearly hear it when on our lanai - but not in the room with the slider shut (much appreciated). The room appeared to have been refurbished recently, as everything in it felt new-ish. Bathroom was equipped with rainshower showerhead and handheld, plus a double vanity outside of the shower and wc area. Bed (massive king size - California king?) was comfortable, and linens were good. Many options for pillows were provided. Housekeeping staff kept things clean and tidy, and turndown service was appreciated. Staff all over the resort were extremely friendly and helpful. Food in the buffet was good, there were many options and everything was fresh. We enjoyed the restaurants; breakfast in Tamarindo (Preferred Club) was quiet and lovely (Tip: try the papaya juice with cream - delicious!). Teppanyaki was fun, although the show was shorter than we've seen in other places. Food in the other restaurants we tried (Mediterranean, steakhouse, Mexica was all good. Preferred Club pool is quiet and much less crowded than the main pool, and drink service there and in the Preferred Club area of the beach was very consistent and enthusiastic. The Preferred Club pool swim-up bar is . Preferred Club also had several exckusive lounges, where snacks, better liquor, and lounge areas were provided. Finally, my guy and I had excellent deep tissue massages at the spa, and the best part was that there was no upsell for products like we've experienced at other resorts. As you can tell, we highly recommend Dreams Onyx and would happily stay there again.

100% Recommended!
We had the most amazing experience ever!!! Our personal concierge, Starling, treated us like royalty and went out of his way to exceed our expectations every day. The property was immaculately maintained, the food impeccable and the amenities were all first class. Surprisingly, I would also recommend this to both couples and families. There were activities to just relax and to also entertain young ones. Top Notch!
