Great location. Very beautiful. Great staff. The harassment by the timeshare people made it unbearable. Not sure if I would return.

Overall very disappointed. First off you will be accosted on your first day by Hyatt representatives trying to pressure you to buy a membership. A very frustrating way to spend your first morning at the resort. Food was not great, or consistent in quality. There is a high expectation for tips. Our room needed quite a few repairs or improvements eg. Fridge not cold, tv didn't work, wifi didn't work, shower head needed replacing, fan didn't always work and the outdoor spa was disgusting and dirty. The staff were ok (except for the expected tipping). The pools were fine. We will not return, and won't recommend to friends or family.

A most enjoyable first time experience at Dreams Onyx. Service is amazing, resort is beautiful and we will definitely be back. We had preferred service and loved it.

Dreams Onyx - Absolutely incredible vacation!
From the moment we got off the shuttle from the airport and we were welcomed with a friendly smile from our butler Nelson, we knew it would be a fabulous vacation. We typically stay at Secrets which is adult only, so a Dreams resort was different for us. We did stay in the Preferred Adults Only section. Walking into the beautiful rooms and out onto the patio with private pool was breathtaking. We utilized the private pool multiple times per day, and having the private cabana outside the room was like a fairytale. We also spent 2 days at a beach cabana. The resort was fabulous in every aspect. Nelson ensured our needs were met, he checked in every morning, throughout the day, and walked us to dinner each night. He was so friendly, but also professional. Absolutely #1 hands down! Each night after dinner we enjoyed going to see what was happening at the Theatre area and enjoyed Coco Cafe and the ice cream shop. This is where we met Shadow - he took time each day to chat with us and even came one day and did a photo shoot on the beach for the expectant couple in our group. What an amazing young man he is! Onyx is lucky to have him. We also met BooBoo on the entertainment team. She signed us up for the macrame class which was fun. She was also a friendly smile each time we saw her. Special shout outs to the following staff: Dilenia our room attendant, Anderson who was our mini-bar person. He ensured we had everything we needed. Ismael, Inoel, and Nelis around the preferred adult pool made our trip magical and recommended different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks every day. Juan C made sure our cabanas were ready first thing in the morning and also took the time to change them multiple times on days we had rain. Mariano was also there and brought towels as well. Edwin and Anyi were amazing while down at the beach - so friendly and attentive. I think we all came home 10lbs heavier from the delicious food. Special shoutouts to: Hilano, Juan, Eddy and Franklin at preferred breakfast, and also to Johandry and Estefani who welcomed us each day with a smile. We met Michael, Victor and Carlitos at Capers, Jose Luis and Juan at Coquette, Maybe and Orlando at Bluewater, Victor and David at CinCin and Edwin, Sherwin and Elio at Silk City. They were all so attentive and ready to make each meal spectacular. Also can't forget Jerson at the taco truck. My husband would have brought that truck home if he could have. An absolutely incredible vacation and we can't wait to come back and see our new family again!

Amazing
Best hotel I have been in Punta Cana so far! Loved it! Loved the food and the attendants were the best! Can't wait to go back!
