Nice resort, food is bland, beach was covered in seaweed. Staff is lovely. Rooms are nice! Be careful in the store as I was way overcharged!

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. We upgraded to the preferred amenities and were glad we did because we really enjoyed the preferred adult pool. The staff was absolutely amazing no matter where we went. Ivan took excellent care of waiting on us daily at the World Cafe. Joshua was one of the Belman who really helped us out a lot and gave us a lot of information. He even gave us a ride on the golf cart to check out the preferred pool before we upgraded. There were many different restaurants, but we actually didn’t try them other than the buffet because we are picky eaters. The entertainment was good and the pirate circus show was excellent. One negative thing is that I think the pools should be open later. The adult pool closes at 5 PM and the other pools seem to close around that same time. They should have special hours that the adults could swim later or have nighttime swim as well.

Never been a 5* no luxury at all. We have been to Mexico multiple times as couple and as a family. This is by far the most disappointing hotel we have stayed at. We visited a dreams as we were married 10 years ago in a secrets hotel. They made out on our arrival we were apart of the privlefed group. Turns out we were just trying to to be sold and upgraded room at extra cost and we could use the most quiet boring lounge for our stay. No privileges what so ever. Bar staff made us feel very uncomfortable, almost as if they were laughing at you (women) We have been to dreams and secrets white and they are so attentive, can’t do enough for you basically. This hotel is not that. The beach smelt terrible (I know that can’t be helped) food and drinks were poor quality, no decent drinks your room, beer and water. Nightlife was also non existent, very boring! It’s a small, basic hotel, basic service.

Disappointing Stay at Dreams Sapphire – Would Not Return
Disappointing Stay at Dreams Sapphire – Would Not Return We’ve stayed at multiple Dreams resorts, and unfortunately, this one ranks at the bottom of our list. I don’t think we’ll be returning, nor would we recommend it to others. Pros: Large pool and fun water park Generally friendly staff (with the exception of the hostess at the front desk at the Asian restaurant) Food was decent overall Cons / Major Issues: Asian restaurant was a letdown. We tried the hibachi table and the meats and vegetables were nearly burned. It seemed like the chef was new—he kept attempting utensil tricks, but they kept flying out of his hands! Very outdated facilities. The TVs, safe lock boxes, HVAC system, and other room features clearly need upgrades. Bugs everywhere — indoors and outdoors. This was the worst part of the stay. You couldn’t open the front door or patio doors without mosquitos and insects rushing in. Sitting outside was impossible because the patios and walkways were swarmed. Even inside the rooms, mosquitos were on the walls and ceilings. We stayed with multiple families, and every room had the same issue—not just ours. I understand there was a lot of recent rain, but proper pest control should be expected at a resort of this level. Poor lighting around the resort. Most walkways were extremely dark at night, and we constantly had to use our phone flashlights to see where we were going. This resort has potential, but until they address the bug problem, upgrade their facilities, and improve safety and dining consistency, I’d suggest choosing another Dreams location instead.
