Fabulous time at Mango Bay
Spent a fabulous 9 nights here. The hotel is lovely. Very clean. We had superior rooms which were spacious and loads of storage space. The food was the best we have had on all inclusive. Mostly served from a menu with 3 or 4 choices per course, which we found to be a nice change from the normal all inclusive buffet. Lots of nice tasting dishes and not massive portions which meant you could have 3 courses and not feel too stuffed. The bar was good. Lovely cocktails and nice wine. We went on the catamaran trip which is free, nice trip down the coast and a swim. We booked a trip with Lorenzo to swim with the turtles and over a ship wreck. He was really good and looked after us really well. Great water sports free from the hotel. Last but certainly not least. Fantastic staff. We were made so welcome from the moment we got to the hotel. Cara on reception made sure we were looked after while waiting for our room to be ready on arrival. Bar and waiting staff, Shemar the mixologist, Anderson, Rayden and Damien waiting on us at our sunbeds (lots of smiles and crazy dancing) Donnel, Tionne and Sharrissa, our waitresses, Nikolai guest services. And Isobelle who did the best Aqua Aerobics, and always made sure we were having a good time. Also to all the staff that helped make our daughter Caitlins 15th birthday a special day. We made lots of friends here and will definitely be back. Thank you Mango Bay ❤️

Superb all around
Every aspect was superb with special thanks to Darnel, Damien Brittney and Radon as they were particularly superb and so friendly. If you travel anywhere at all, use “Tre” the official taxi man and don’t worry about the construction site next door as you hardly hear it - best holiday of our lives .

Worst holiday ever. Very dated hotel with really horrible, rude and unpleasant staff with the exception of one or two.
Will never stay at Mango Bay again. Really poor experience from day of arrival and throughout our 10 day stay. Lady who checked us in just looked like she did not want to be there and done nothing to welcome us. Rooms and hotel very dated and not the cleanest. Food was not great and bar staff the rudest most unpleasant people I have ever experienced. Only positive was beach location. Worst holiday ever.

Hotel with a heart
Really can’t fault Mango Bay - such a great hotel with a heart. We had the best time and made incredible memories. Our superior room was very comfortable and the air con was fab as was the ceiling fan - very welcome! Very clean at all times. There was some noise from the building next door but it really didn’t disturb. The hotel accommodated me very well being a vegetarian and I had some very lovely meals. The breakfast was great and had a good variety. A few stand out team members for us - Tionne, Dale, Damien, Rayden, Anderson, Maxine and Sherlene - thank you. The entertainment was mainly singers - some were outstanding. Nicky in particular and we loved the solo guy on the steel drum - gave a real Caribbean feel. The snorkelling from the shore was amazing and so was all the other free water sports. We feel very lucky to have had our time there. Would we book again? Hell yes!

Simply lovely!
This place is lovely and has a certain charm lost in giant corporate hotels. It’s small and the Management Team of Michelle, Isabelle, Ronald and Ryan ( there are more, but these are the ones myself and my wife spoke to regularly) are the beating heart of Mango Bay. Isabelle in particular could not do enough to make sure we all (my wife and two daughters 5 & 8) were having a great time, coming out of her way most days to come and talk to us and the girls. She runs the kids club most days which my two loved. The bar staff, namely Damien (this guy is amazing and the star of the show and an absolute credit to Mango Bay, my daughter’s would have taken him home with us if they could!!! Also Rayden could not do enough and another real credit to the hotel. Even Anderson (who is the grumpy one of the bunch) but he was only trying to run a very busy bar as efficiently as possible and does a great job, he doesn’t smile much, but that’s fine by me, he’s very good at his job and makes a mean lime daiquiri!! There are more I could mention, but I’d be here all night there are so many! The watersports team, Jerry!! My point is that this place has heart and a soul lost in a lot of bigger shiny hotels and the the staff make this place, no they are not all perfect and I take on board other reviews that mention some less friendly members, but our encounters with these staff were few and far between, if we needed anything then we looked to those mentioned above and they couldn’t be more helpful. We met some lovely people whist we were there, some lovely families with children of a similar ages, so the kids played happily. The hotel also is very safe and secure with great security staff at both ends and on the beach, they are not the SAS, but it’s an added level that provides that extra peace of mind. We had stayed in Barbados before, but before we had the children. The food we found to be to a good standard, no it’s no Gordon Ramsey or Marcus Wareing, but it’s fresh and there is a good choice, for breakfast lunch and dinner. We did eat out too a little which if you can I would recommend, as there are sooooooo many great places to eat. The rooms are a little tired, yes, but they are comfortable, they are serviced daily with fresh towels and fitted us and our needs perfectly. Let’s face it you do not go on a family holiday to sit and critique the hotel room and the minute you see that beach, you know where you will be spending most of your time, it’s amazing, I snorkelled daily and saw thousands of fish including stingrays, puffer fish, marlin and many many more! The evening entertainment is good, mainly singers, but enjoyable. There is a new hotel being built next door, but if I’m honest we hardly noticed it. We had a ground floor room which was right by the pool, and our door was on the side of the building works and again was no bother. I would certainly recommend this hotel especially if you have young kids. Even with older kids, there are lots of free water sport options available daily, the snorkelling alone would be enough!! Thank you Mango Bay for helping us make some unforgettable family memories, we will be back!!
