  Celiacs dream resort for safe food and overall food allergy awareness and safety!! Take the trip! Eat the food! Enjoy!

  I cannot say enough good things about Majestic Elegance, Costa Mujeres, Mexico! This was the first trip that my husband and I have taken as empty nesters and it was the perfect place to reconnect and romance each other all over again ❤️ It was magical ✨ Let’s start with the details: Food safety and restaurant staff: I have dietary restrictions with having a peanut allergy and celiac disease, so gluten free for me. I have other food sensitivities as well. I have been so hesitant to go to an all inclusive since my diagnosis of celiac disease 8 years ago. Majestic Elegance is the perfect resort with the most incredible staff to have put my mind at ease. I read countless reviews on food safety here and we decided to take the leap to try it. They have multiple allergy concierge staff that will take care of dietary needs. At every restaurant we were asked by the hostess if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions. They would note it on a slip of paper that was left for the wait staff at our table. The hostess would then ask if we wanted assistance. I would say yes every time for them to page the allergy concierge. They would arrive at the table any any given restaurant at any meal time and go over the menu and what was safe to have or not. They would also point out options that they could make gluten free or allergy safe with some alternatives or separate fryers and such. These staff members were my most valued people we had on our vacation. Huge thank you to Sebastian, but in particular the biggest thanks go to JOY and ALVARO, whom we dealt with the most!! They provided me with knowledge, comfort, expertise, choices, kindness and the most delicious gf and safe food! We will 100% return to this resort simply because of them ❤️ I have family members and friends who I have been raving about this resort to who are gluten free as well and require safe practices for no cross contamination. Majestic Elegance does it right when prioritizing food safety needs and educating and employing staff who were absolute experts in their fields. Thank you Majestic Elegance for being so inclusive and making stress free food travel a possibility for those with dietary restrictions. You have no idea how happy you have made me and my family. Room type: We had an elegance club jr suite with outdoor jacuzzi. It was the perfect room for us! They have thought of all the little extras from a steamer in the closet, to a kettle at the bar, to an abundance of hangers in the closets, to a Bluetooth speaker, to easy to use digital climate and lighting controls, to a perfect balcony for private time watching the sunrises and sunsets or enjoying a drink relaxing in the jacuzzi! The bed was very comfortable. It was a clean and spacious layout. Our maid NIDIA kept our space clean and well stocked daily. We faced the family side infinity pool and wedding area. We enjoyed watching the weddings happening during our stay. It was entertaining and romantic. We never found it a bother or loud. They would be finished by 11pm. The black out curtains in the rooms were nice too. Club guest perks: We booked an upgraded room on the club side. With that came perks! The free mini bar and snacks were a nice extra. They delivered a fruit basket to us with a lovely welcome letter on our first day there which was a nice touch. We had access to all the adults only sections and restaurants. We would only book this type of room upgrade in the future, as we loved the extras that came with it. Our favourite extra was our personal butler. He was such an asset to our vacation. He gave us a personal tour of the resort, he would answer any question or have any service arranged for us that we requested, and he was so sweet. We were so fortunate to have AMADO be our butler for our trip. He helped to make it so special with all the extras like aromatherapy in our room each night with our turn down service, helping with restaurant reservations and providing ideas and suggestions according to what we wanted out of our vacation. He honestly felt like family and we will request to have him again in the future ❤️ The food: The food was honestly one of the biggest highlights of our trip!! We loved the Steakhouse, the Italian, the Mexican restaurant and the Japanese teppanyaki table! We ate at the à la carte Italian restaurant daily for breakfast or lunch, as we felt it was safer than a buffet for my gluten free and allergy needs. We were in foodie heaven with all the options we had and tried! We wish we had longer than a week just to try more restaurants! You don’t need reservations at most places and there was hardly a wait (maybe 5 minutes was the most we ever waited). We did have a reservation at the Japanese restaurant, so be sure to book that. The quality of the food was outstanding! Try it all!! The entertainment: We went to the events nightly. All were very entertaining and very talented. We had a fire show and white night, Michael Jackson tribute, Queen tribute, Mexican night, Mexican wrestling, Caribbean night and more. It was the perfect way to end each day! We really enjoyed every show ⭐️ The resort amenities: The week we had was cooler than usual temps in that area. We had a few hot days, but overall it was cooler. Due to the unseasonably cooler temps, we didn’t use the pools or ocean as much as we would have normally to swim. When we did use the pools, they were refreshing and clean. We don’t like water too hot that it doesn’t feel refreshing, but they were nice to cool you down on the hot days. There were beach chairs and loungers everywhere that were available for use. This resort is known to have an abundance for use. It was like 95% full occupancy when we were there and it felt quiet. It really is a well laid out resort, with not a huge footprint to navigate. The pool and swim up bars were great! Our fav bar tender was definitely VICTOR!! He was fun and high energy and made our time memorable with him and the other guests. We didn’t use the spa on this trip, but will definitely try it next time. The beach was beautiful white soft sand. We enjoyed our beach walks. They had a few shops on site that had everything you’d need for your trip that you may have forgotten or run out of and souvenirs, clothing and such. It wasn’t a loud or disruptive resort. They had fun music playing in the day and wedding music at night. There was dancing, games and music, but not past 11pm outdoor and it wasn’t offensive. If you want later entertainment there was the sports bar and areas to continue into the later night hours. Transportation: We booked a private round trip airport transfer with GoMajestic. They were prompt, with clean and air conditioned vehicles. The drivers were excellent. We felt safe. We will definitely book this form of transportation again. It was appreciated ❤️) ⭐️ Felipe - our main waiter at the Italian restaurant (he was great!!) ⭐️ Yashet - waiter at the Italian restaurant ⭐️ Alejandra - hostess at the Italian restaurant ⭐️ Linda - chef at the Italian restaurant (such amazing food 😋) ⭐️ Alfredo - waiter at the Mexican restaurant ⭐️ Bogart - waiter at the Teppanyaki restaurant who sang to us and played ukulele 🎶 ⭐️ Ricardo - our chef at the Teppanyaki restaurant Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and we can’t thank the staff enough for that 🙏 We will return because of them. We love the memories we made and the time we had at Majestic Elegance 🇲🇽 I would highly recommend this resort to others, especially the celiac and allergy community. They do it best here!
