  Great family trip to Majestic Colonial!

  We selected Majestic Colonial for a family trip in December 2025, travelling as a group of 24 people. We found the resort to be the perfect size for a large group — it never felt overcrowded, and it was always easy to find chairs at the beach or around the pools. There are multiple pools and pool areas, offering a good balance between lively spaces with music and quieter areas for relaxation. After walking the beach in both directions, we felt that the beach in front of Majestic Colonial was the best in the area. It was less crowded than others we saw, wide enough for beach sports, and still ideal for swimming. In terms of dining, there is a large buffet located right by the beach that we used most days for breakfast and lunch. The food was good, with a wide variety of options available daily. In the evening, this same restaurant converts into a seafood restaurant on one side and a steakhouse on the other. Both dinner options were very good, offering dishes such as steak, lobster, shrimp, calamari, and more. There was also a daily beach BBQ at lunchtime, which was perfect if you wanted to stay by the water and enjoy burgers, ribs, wings, hot dogs, and similar options. For à la carte dining, we visited the Japanese restaurant twice — it was probably the best Japanese restaurant I’ve experienced at a resort. It also features an excellent sushi bar that can be visited without a reservation. The Mexican/Caribbean restaurant was another highlight, offering some Dominican specialties, including goat stew, which was a pleasant surprise. Above all, the staff throughout the resort were outstanding — friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Given the size of our group, this made a huge difference. The teams at restaurants such as the seafood and Mexican/Caribbean venues went above and beyond to make our group dinners truly memorable. As we stayed in the adults-only section, we had butler service. Danny, who provided butler services for our family, was amazing. He was extremely attentive, checked in with us daily to ensure we had everything we needed, handled reservations for our large group, and was consistently friendly and professional. He truly made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. Thank you, Danny!

  Christmas get away

  This resort has been our absolute favorite for years. Unfortunately the biggest decline noticed is in the food quality (we do not expect top quality by all means being that we are in the Caribbean), but we were both terribly sick this trip from something we ate. First night at the steak house was amazing, and we thought, they figured it out. First night at the buffet for Mexican night was also amazing. Everything went downhill from there. Our butler Anderson was the most amazing butler we’ve ever had and took excellent care of us while we were sick, bringing us Gatorade’s, soda crackers, and checked in on us multiple times. Thank you just does not seem like enough Anderson!!! You are the BEST!!! Leandro - you made our days at the pool bar so much fun, and we thank you for that!! 😎. Keep being you! Another large issue was the Club check in experience. Seemed like complete chaos and wait times were over an hour. We have not ever experienced this long a wait before. Many frustrated guests in the Club lounge Overall: Cleaning staff 10/10 Pool bar staff 10/10 Butler service 10/10 Food 5/10 Grounds were beautifully decorated for Christmas, so hats off to the grounds staff. 10/10

  Christmas at Majestic Colonial

  The food was pretty good at a la carte dinner and buffet ok. The service everywhere was excellent. Usually, i never need a butler but this time our butler Enrique helped us for little things since it was Christmas. He was great. Mucho gracias Enrique and hasta luego.

  Club Colonial

  We had a good time at Majestic Colonial Club. EDWIN (our butler) went above and beyond to provide us a distinct experience. FERNANDO (beach club bar) did an excellent job. LYNDA YON (housekeeper) took good care of our room. Thank you to everyone for the hospitality and for the great service!

  Great experience at the Colonial.

  The overall experience was excellent, looking forward to going back once the resort is renovated. Loved the main pool, which is where we spent most of our time. The resort is immaculately maintained. The staff works hard, are friendly and attentive. Of note, our butler, Danny was awesome! Whenever we needed something, such as restaurant reservations, room needs, wants, Danny was responsive, friendly and accommodating!
