This is a top notch resort where food and service shine. *Food: Everything is delicious. The best room service menu I have seen at resorts. All the restaurants are great. We haven’t been to the adults only restaurants but someday we will! *Service: Ivan and Juan at Lucca took very good care of us. Alexis at the adult pool remembered my name! He worked really hard and kept my drinks flowing. Our concierge, Gianni, was very helpful. We had a bit of mix-up with a cooking class. I texted him and he was there within minutes to help us sort things out. Gianni handled every request we made with patience and care. Housekeeping works really hard and room was tidied up every day and evening. *Room: it is very spacious. Bed is comfortable. Balcony is nice even at the most basic room. (We have done both 2 bedroom family connecting Ambassador suite and Governors suite). The deep jacuzzi tub is wonderful. Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has very modest balconies. *Family friendly and activities: It is a family resort but it is not what we really want in terms of family amenities. This is a downside for us and we keep coming back not because of the family amenities but despite them. There are activities for adults, teens, and kids. But they are all separate. They welcome kids, and there are many kids. But they hide kids. The kids club, activities and splash pads are all tucked away, hidden behind plants and trees. Kid events happen but you might not know that they are happening. It is a great place if you want to drop kids off and have adult time. It isn’t great for families that want to do activities together. The resort lacks all ages activities and evening entertainment. Even something as modest as live music in the evening a couple of times a week would be nice. I kept looking at the teen and kid activities list thinking “I want a movie night and I want a magic show, too!” But alas, only for kids… *Pool: it is absolutely gorgeous and heated. Beds are comfortable and not packed too tight. Pool service is attentive. The covered hot tub is nice. I wish the infinity pool is not adults only but I suppose adults want a pool without kids. You can see whales. *Beach: not swimmable but breathtakingly beautiful. Sand, rocks, turquoise blue waters. It is beautiful to look at and take a stroll . *Noise: The resort sits on a busy street and you can hear traffic. The doors aren’t very sound proof so you can hear noise from hallway and the streets. We were in the 1010 block and it was extremely noise early in the morning with an army of birds chirping. They start around 4:30 am and stop around 6:30 am. It is louder than my alarm. We used two different white noise devices but no luck. Ear plugs helped but we were woken up prematurely every morning. (Rooms we had previously didn’t have this issue. I think birds must live right outside. It was loudest near our rooms. It is one of the best all inclusive resorts we have been to and we look forward to returning.

Excellent service from top to bottom. Excellent staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Shout out to kids club staff - Karla, Yuli, and the rest. They do such a great job with the kids and are underappreciated. Would definitely return.

Grand Velas resorts are amazing! Shout out to Alexis Mora - a fantastic butler during our trip! Would def return!
We love Grand Velas resorts! Our top choice for Mexican all-inclusive trips! Alexis Mora was our butler and he was extremely helpful the entire trip. Highly recommend the hydrotherapy session at the spa as well! A fantastic getaway!

Incredible experience!
Wow. Where to start- the staff would anticipate our needs and made everything so easy (our concierge Christian was so helpful and friendly). Little surprises here and there (cupcake decorating kit in the room for the kids, little bites mid spa treatment, the champagne upon entry)- all of it added to the experience. Pools were the perfect temperature and facilities all super clean. The food was amazing- there were so many options and you can tell they are striving to be the best. All other all inclusive resorts are ruined for me because none will match this one! Kids and parents are feeling relaxed and leaving feeling rejuvenated!
