This resort itself is fantastic. The rooms are quite nice and well equipped. The staff are polite and efficient. The food is where this resort stands out. It is beyond excellent, especially at the al a cart restaurants. The amenities are nice, clean and well maintained and we never struggled to find a beach chair. The property is gorgeous and the wildlife is entertaining. Expect monkeys, iguanas and coati. Check in can be a pain but we've been twice and both times arrived late at night so I can't speak to the normal flow. This is the good. The bad, and I cannot stress this enough, is avoid at all costs the "Ultimate Leisure Club"! They will harass you to go to the presentation and offer you a $100 credit to do so. Go for that reason if you must but otherwise, especially if you are Canadian, stay away from this expensive disaster. This entire plan is priced in US dollars so it offers Canadians no predictability whatsoever. In US dollars the prices look attractive but when you convert to Canadian be prepared to suffer a shock. When you realize that to use it you must book your own flights those costs will shock you as well. There is little value to this plan for Canadians and trust me when I say that pleas to opt out will go ignored. We did use it once for our second trip and after giving us the wrong room we were given another one far from the centre of things. The amenities are nice but not compared to the overall cost compared to travelling without it. For that reason we will be avoiding Sirenis properties in the future and are forced to eat the cost of the membership for no reward and travel elsewhere. Certainly we have some sour grapes but I do hope to save other Canadians the cost of the blunder we made.
