Spectacular week away!

The venue is nothing short of amazing, the scenery is spectacular. So many events and activities to participate in that a week is not enough time. Plenty of things to do for kids and adults. Food options are fantastic and I would highly recommend the buffets over the a’la carte restaurants. Service is very good, professional and courteous. Many pools to choose from and the beaches are outstanding, even has a secluded secret beach that not many know about. Lots of wildlife to be seen everywhere. Truly is a magical resort!!

How was my trip experience

Over all my experience was great. The staff was excellent always wanting to help. A couple of things that was negative was a group of people running up and down stairs yelling & slamming doors for hours every night even when they were told to stop. Being irritated with that I was ready to go home. Another thing was no WiFi. I was unaware of it and I was charged an additional $50 on my phone bill. "who doesn't have WiFi" The last thing I was very upset about was after taking the tour for the luxury suites for purchasing weeks the finance person was relentless, hounding and insulting to my intelligence. He pressured me to make a decision on the spot and unknown to me I was made aware by my husband that his assistant was rolling her eyes at me. I gave him plenty of my time (3 hours and was suppose to be 90 minutes) to give his sales pitch. Even if the deal was something I was interested in purchasing I would not have dealt with this hotel because of him. I am checking into other resorts. The staff does not make enough money for the work they do. Housekeeping, workers on the beach and the people who work through the night cleaning deserve a whole lot more money then what they get. For those who are reading this tip the hard working staff, they depend on it.

Great experience

My wife and I have traveled to the Caribbean about 25 times in the last 12 years. Each time we have stayed at all inclusive resorts. About 7 years ago we stayed at Grand Sirenis and this is the first resort that we have booked a second time. We loved this resort the first time we stayed and we loved it again in 2018. This is a large resort with lots of space between the different attractions. This can mean lots of walking (which we love) but there are also extra long golf carts that can take you to different areas. We never used the golf carts so we do not know how often they run. Because the resort is so large it is very easy to find quiet spots away from the hubbub and happening places with lots to do. Being a large resort one of the very nice services that they offer is a drop off and pick up of your luggage at your hotel room to the front curb. There was no tip pressure associated as the people dropped off the luggage before we got to our room and picked it up after we had left the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the buffet is good which is nice because the specialty restaurants are difficult to get into. The drinks are plentiful with very short waits at the various bars. The rooms are clean and large, the AC works great, the beds are comfortable, the walls were thick, and the paid internet service is solid throughout the resort. The beach and swim area is a great combination of sand and coral. You easily walk into the bay to put on your snorkeling equipment to snorkel the coral areas on and close to shore. The fish life is abundant and we saw a lone sea turtle and a sting ray as well. We had no problem finding beach lounges each day. We did not use the pool except for the swim up bar where the bartenders were fun and entertaining. The entertain area is the best of any resort we have seen and the shows were fine but not outstanding. The grounds were very well kept, clean and attractive. Birds were scarce which was nice and iguanas were more plentiful which was fun. There were lots of entertainment options including on resort swim with dolphins (much better than I expected), a spa, beach volleyball, bingo, pool games, kayaking, snorkeling, lazy river, coffee house, ice cream shop, shopping, etc. About the only negatives I could offer is that the concierge was very anxious to have us attend a timeshare spiel and the pictures from swimming with the dolphins were ridiculously expensive (almost as much as swimming with the dolphins so we didn't buy). We will definitely be back in the future.

Service was not up to a 5 star resort. Extremely long lines at the beach bar. Poolside service is not good. If you have a spot at the pool bar, that is the best service. Never did receive the free gift that was promised. Trying to get into a specialty restaurant with 4 people was difficult, which is ridiculous. Rooms were clean.
