Great time

What started off as a much needed vacation turned into the most amazing moment of my life. The resort was nice but what definitely made our vacation spectacular was our concierge Angles. She was extremely welcoming and sweet. One of the highlights of our vacation. Not to mention she went out of her way to make sure our stay was as amazing as possible. The last day my boyfriend at the time was not feeling well and little did i know when we had took a short walk down to the beach at sunset it was forever going to change my life. He had gotte. Down on one knee and asked me to make him the happiest man and be his wife. We left the next day happy and engaged. We loved seeing all the wild life while walking around the resort and the lazy river was nice. We enjoyed our experience and is something we will rememberforever

Great spot

Our time at Grand Sirenis was great. The beach is beautiful and the surrounding areas are great for exploring. I would say that the only semi-negative aspect of the trip was that the consierge really tried to push a 'time share' like tour on us. It took about 10 minutes of sitting through his pitch, and a few awkward times of having to refuse his offers but eventually he left us alone. Other than that I would highly recommend the resort and the area.

Snorkeling Galore

Grand Sirenis was our first experience with an all-inclusive resort, and it was wonderful. The pools and lazy river were beautiful, the food was great, and the staff were fantastic. The resort was fairly empty at this time of year, and we had a lovely time! We chose Grand Sirenis because of the access to great beach snorkeling, and we were not disappointed! Although this reef has certainly suffered some deterioration, ample soft corals and boulder structures provide great habitat for ocean life, especially out past the buoy line. We saw turtles, rays, squid, crabs, etc., not to mention schools of fish. Being able to snorkel right from the resort made for a truly relaxing vacation - although we did leave for an excursion, we didn't feel like we had to pay for guides and leave Grand Sirenis to really be able to explore the ocean, which was exactly what we wanted! The resort was beautiful - not denuded like some others we passed, but lush with nature. We loved all of the opportunities to be outside as much as possible, even while eating - the lunch BBQ on the beach every day was fantastic! We made dinner reservations 3 nights, and the food was delicious. All other meals were great as well - we were so pleased with the fruit and veg options, which allowed for lighter meals (it was 90 degrees, so hot food wasn't ideal). For couples like us looking to spend time outside, relax, and enjoy the sea, I'd absolutely recommend Grand Sirenis.

Deceiving

The pictures shown of this resort are deceiving. They advertise with pictures of the "member" rooms and amenities which are not what you are getting if you are not a member. The "hot tubs" were the same temperature as the pool. The swim up bars smelled awful as did the bathroom near the pool. The large buffet food was fine. There was a buffet that was much better offered in the Steakhouse restaurant so we went there whenever possible. Our 5 night stay only allowed us to make two reservations at the restaurants on the property and we were not able to book at a couple of them because they were booked. We were told when we checked in that the WiFi was free and that was not the case when we checked out. The staff were not flexible in taking the WiFi charges off our bill. They tried to pass the buck off to the concierge for giving us the wrong information and did not take responsibility for the misinformation. We were forced to pay for the charges and dispute through our credit card company. Bad customer service! The positives of this resort are the rooms were beautifully updated and didn't have that musty, damp feeling a lot of beach resorts have. There is also a lot to do on the property. We went off and did quite a few excursions but certainly wouldn't have been bored if we just stayed on the resort.
