My family just returned from a 10 night stay at the Grand Sirenis and will absolutely be returning to this resort the next time we travel to the Riviera Maya. We’ve stayed at a number of all inclusive resorts in Mexico but this one surpasses all the others in pretty much every way. Grounds: Spacious but laid out very nicely; we stayed in the Mayan block of rooms. According to the maps (which are posted throughout the resort) it might look far away from everything but it’s really not. The concierges can hail you a cart and it will take you anywhere on the resort but we walked everywhere. Rooms: Spacious with a surprisingly sizable bathroom. I say surprisingly only because prior resorts that we’ve stayed in usually allocate only a little space for a bathroom but these rooms were large and had a large bathroom. The bathrooms also have a bathtub which we didn’t use but someone with small children or who enjoy a jet bath might enjoy. Housekeeping was prompt and really thorough even going so far as to fold clothes, set up suitcases, tidy and organize; we make it a habit to tip housekeeping staff so I can’t say if this level of service is the norm or if it’s because we like to tip them for their work. Safe: Each room has one but not every safe is the same kind of safe. One of our safes developed a random issue with locking and unlocking after about four days of use but we had more than one room so we just moved our stuff to the other and were fine. Based on our interactions with the resort staff, I’m confident if we’d raised the issue it would have been fixed promptly but it wasn’t a huge deal for us so we didn’t bother with it. Buffet: The buffets at Grand Sirenis are the best buffets that I’ve experienced at an all inclusive resort. There are two and they have lots of options. We frequented the breakfast/lunch buffet, the Park, and Anahi was a particular highlight for us! Not only is she so lovely and friendly but every morning she had a table for seven reserved and waiting for us. We were sorry to leave because we liked her so much. Restaurants: I’ve read some complaints about booking at the restaurants (especially as non-members) but we didn’t experience any issues. We went to the concierge in the lobby on the first morning and were able to book all the places we wanted at the times we wanted. I recommend doing this over using the resort’s app. The teppanyaki place was a particular standout – not only was the meal the best we had but they were particularly attentive to my mother’s dietary restrictions. The chef made her meal first and separately to accommodate her which she greatly appreciated because she had planned to eat whatever she could and go to the buffet after but this was unnecessary. If you could only book one restaurant I would recommend it be this one. Pools: Three, which are spread throughout the resort. There’s a lively pool near the Mayan block of rooms which was quite popular and had entertainment staff working very hard to keep everyone engaged and entertained. There’s also the quiet pool which was quite long and seemed restful and relaxing though we didn’t spend much time there. There’s another pool near the Riviera block of rooms beside the Mexican restaurant but we didn’t spend any time there. There was never any issue finding a place by the pool no matter the time of day. Beach: Beautiful! And again, absolutely no issues with finding a lounger any time of the day. A good portion of our time was spent on the beach and in the ocean. There is a rocky shelf in the water but once you cross it (or go around it) it’s all sand and great swimming. There are tons of tropical fish, people were snorkeling right off the beach. The staff work very hard to keep the beach clear of sargassum; we had one day where the tide brought it in but the staff work hard and it was cleared by the next morning. Entertainment: I personally didn’t attend any of the nightly entertainment so I cannot give my own review of it. I had family members check it out and they had positive things to say. Lagoon: Not technically part of the resort since it’s located off property but a particular standout for us. Make sure you wear good shoes as you’ll be required to walk on uneven, rocky ground and then go through the jungle if you take the beach path or straight through the jungle if you choose the jungle path (we chose the beach). I don’t recommend making this trek if you have mobility issues and I would most definitely get directions beforehand but it’s a beautiful spot, the water is calm, and the snorkeling is possibly even better here than on the resort's beach. Again, the lagoon is OFF resort property and the resort cannot be held liable if anything happens once you leave the boundaries. Extra costs: There are things available at the resort for an extra cost if you’re wanting and willing to pay for them. You can upgrade your room on check in (we were told connecting rooms were $500 USD so decided not to upgrade but you can do so if there's availability); certain drinks can be bought by the glass or bottle (and if you bought a bottle of wine and frequent a certain restaurant they will store it for you); birthday cakes can be purchased for 800 pesos by talking to a concierge, which you pay on check out. Also note that there is an environment fee of 55 pesos per night which you can pay on check in or at check out, this is a mandatory fee and they are up front about it. All in all it was a fantastic vacation at a lovely resort and the next time my family return to the Riviera Maya we’ll be coming back to the Grand Sirenis. We’ve found our resort.

Exceptional Experience!!!
The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya is our favorite relaxing, fun resort. The service & people is always exceptional, the food & drinks are fantastic & delicious and there’s fun everywhere with the pools, the beach, the lazy river and the shows. Also, we’ve been members for more than 10 years. We find it’s totally worth it if you plan to visit the resorts at least twice a year - whether it’s just us, with our family or with our friends. We enjoy every moment and hope you will too!!!!

Incredible experience
We had the most amazing holiday! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From start to finish the staff work so hard and we are so grateful. We arrived to welcome drinks and our bags taken to our room 1123. Activities were always pumping around the Aura pool (our favourite) and prana pool, there are quieter pools. The lazy river is gorgeous and always beautiful animals to see, they are so funny and cute. The hotel is always being cleaned, toilets I always found clean even the pool ones. You can always get food anytime of day. Our waiter Marcial Tun made our buffet breakfast experience so welcoming everyday, made sure we always had what we needed, it was a pleasure to see him everyday! I feel that people can add their cons about this hotel but in our experience you have to look for them. We would definitely return and I recommend this place to anyone!

Great Family Resort
Excellent experience. Travelled with my 3 year old and 9 month old and we were well taken care of. Rocio was so kind to my daughter and Diego helped us book dinners for 5 of the 7 nights
