Awesome, Amazing, Book now

One of the top resorts I've been to, we went 6/6/18 to 6/13/18. We took a family Trip of 12 and everyone loved it. It's huge but after day 2 you get comfortable with the walk, the bus takes sometime to circle around. Pros: Room is amazing. Pools all over the resort, 2 have a DJ and the others are more relaxing. They have 2 kid pools. 3 swim up bars. Ping pong tables and host play games almost all day. 2 buffets at the front for breakfast lunch and dinner. 2 buffets at the end for breakfast and lunch (dinnner become resturants). I believe 6 resturants to make reservations with, the Japanese one was the best. The steak house has good steak but flavorless sides. Nightly entertainment in the outside lobby and indoor. Sports bar is good for passing time, playing pool and hanging. Cons: (Not many. Lol) People lay towels out at the pool real early and don't go to the pool until late, this takes up seats. Or they leave to the room and return 5hrs later. Food options at the buffet weren't much. They switch a few things each day but more meat selections would be better. In 3 of the rooms the fridge stopped working, they swapped them. The bus is supposed to come every 15mins, day 1 we waited 25. I highly recommend the resort.

Good place, good value, too big And spread out

My wife and I and our two adult daughters, and one of their boyfriends enjoyed the place. It was a very good value for our family. We had two adjacent rooms and it worked out well. … My only real complaint was that the place is so big, from the main Check in building to the ocean, that walking it several times a day meant you put in three or 4 miles of walking. We enjoyed our location and our rooms which were located pretty close to the ocean, and centrally located to a couple of the very nice pools… However that very large long distance between our area and the main lodge area, where all the evening entertainment and bars were was really walking prohibitive. It really increase the probability of getting blisters and paid feet. The resort did run a train-like shuttle from top to bottom… However it just wasn’t very frequent. It ran about every 20 minutes or half hour. Most times, you just figured ..oh heck with it...and walked. This was pretty exhausting by the end of each day. Seems like a very easy fix would be to put more shuttles that run up and down the resort every five or eight minutes or so. Would not be hard job or expensive and would make everyone’s experience better. Food choices were good and relatively easy. Even dropping by some of the reservation required restaurants was easy enough if you didn’t mind waiting a half hour or so. The beach and the surf were pretty beat up with the Sargasso Sea weed stuff....not much they can do about it, but it does detract. There is a shuttle that runs into Playa Del Carmen three times a day. 9 AM 11 AM and 4 PM. It is about a 20 minute ride. It also returns three times per day. Cost four dollars per person each way. Convenient enough… But the price of a taxi with four people makes that a better deal and you can go into whatever part of town you prefer. The hotel offers a pretty good taxi service for four people. As soon as you have five people it jumps up twice as much. (5 to 8 people). For just a little bit more, a driver will stay with you throughout your day trip. This option wiorked out very well for us on our trip to Akumal and Tulum. The added benefit is the driver helps a lot with translation, as well as knowing the ins and outs of where lines form, costs of things, and places to grab food etc. It worked out well for us, and I would do that again Overall the trip turned out very very well. And the cost was pretty inexpensive for the seven days. About $1050 per person. I would emphasize to the resort owners to increase the frequency of the shuttle runs and it would be even better.

Wish I stayed longer

Pro: the resort is very big and beautiful. The pools and beach was clean and nice. A lot of food and drinks all day. The staff was very kind and helpful. Cons: no night pool so after 8pm you can't go back for a swim. because the resort is so big you have to depend on their trolleys which they take forever to come get you so you end up walking most of the time. The restaurant close very early so after 9pm your left to eat at the sport bar which had no wings in the menu. Overall: would visit the resort again

A week in Mexico

We spent 6 nights here in June. The hotel itself is beautiful. Workers clean the area every day. We never used the pool but they looked clean. The beach did have a lot of seaweed but that's nature. It didn't stop us from swimming in it. It didn't smell bad either. The room was nice and cool. The jacuzzi was great and the shower was roomy. There's a sign in the rooms to hang your towels to reuse to conserve water but the housekeepers still took our towels and replaced them with fresh ones. The food was just ok. My favorite meal was probably the Mexican restaurant and the Italian. The buffet is average. Oriental night was a disaster though. The paella was great during Mexican night. Everything else was just blah, not great but it's all you can eat. Overall, we had a great experience here. I would avoid the time share people around the corner on the way to the buffets.

Environmental Levy Fee
The Municipalidad of Solidaridad in the Rivera Maya is one of the most beautiful places in the Mexican Caribbean. Tourism has been instrumental in driving the economic and social development of the region. In an effort to continue to preserve, conserve and beautify the destination, the Municipality of Solidaridad has implemented a small environmental levy on visitors effective September 1, 2017. Hotels will collect 20 Mexican pesos per room per day on check out; the proceeds will be deposited in an environmental trust to fund local projects. The Municipalidad of Solidaridad thanks you for your understanding and support of this worthwhile endeavor. Thank you and enjoy your visit.
