Best vacation ever

When I had first mentioned to someone that I booked my vacation through cheap cheapcaribbean their eyes lit up and there response was really I heard horrible things about them and it's such a scam blah blah blah as for a travel agent cheap carribam was awesome I had no issues from the time we got on our first flight to Mexico checking into the resort to the time we got back home to Boston transportation everything was simple and quick. I seen most of the complaints were the hotels but really you choose a hotel based on the reviews and looking into the hotel separate from CC anyway right? I mean that's what I would personally do ? I looked into my hotel separately before I even booked through Cc the omplajnta for the hotel were completely accurate missing pool tiles and horrible food at the buffets but what do you expect when you go tot a resort made for thousands of people a day You make the best of it you pick and choose between the many options they have from the taco stands by the pool to finding what's better and sticking to that! Our resort was amazing and the people of Mexico made us feel right at home! But like I said as for cheap carribean they just put everything together for us and I have not one single complaint about that so that you for making my. Birthday weekend amazing !

Average resort

Due to hurricane Irma we went from dreams DR to Grand princess MX. We just arrived back last night and this is my honest opinion. This resort needs some work. The pool is falling apart tiles in the pool are missing which can end up hurting someone. Alot of ants and bees around the pools. I would highly recommend the resort to put some fans around the checking desk and lobby bar area. There is no air flow every other person I saw had a menu in there hands using it as a fan to keep them cool. The drinks at the lobby bar are amazing but you cannot chill out for too long without being drenched in sweat. The food was horrible I am not expecting first class food but everyday the buffet had the same food lunch and breakfast. Resturants were ok nothing great. Do not expect aqua blue sea water there is alot of sea weeds and water is merky not great to snorkle in. There is a great message place on the beach about 10min walk towards the right there is a place called salvamar by the Mexican flag 25$ gets you an hour message on the beach Karen and gypsi were amazing therapist. Back to the resort the staff were great very hard working people so be generous tip them well. Resort had great entertainment in the evening and alot of activities during the day. Foam party on the beach was a nice touch. Big resort so be ready to walk alot there is a trolly service every 15 min. Resort split in two half's one's the sunset Riviera and the other is princess Riviera. Rooms were good big and spacy with tones of room to move around. Saw alot of people getting bit by mosquitos but we came prepped with deet repellent which worked very well and no one bite. I believe this resort needs some tlc and it would be as good as hard Rock.

Honeymoon trip

We chose this resort to take our honeymoon. Upon arrival we checked in and got to our room. We had a bottle of champagne that had obviously been sitting all day as well as fruit covered in ants. We ordered room service because we got there at almost midnight. I pointed out the ants and hot champagne and was pretty much blown off like it wasn't a big deal. He took the ant ridden fruit away, but the ants still lingered. We eventually got the room fumigated because they started biting us in the bed (we had to ask two or three times). After that we had no issues with that. The next day we met with our concierge and showed her our marriage license so we could get the benefits of being honeymooners. She had already made reservations for our first night for dinner and we scheduled the rest of the nights, as well as our honeymoon dinner. Why you need reservations I will never understand because the restaurants were NOT crowded and there were several tables open at every one every night we went. Our dinners were delicious especially our honeymoon dinner at chill out restaurant. We were supposed to have a banner and gift that night but it was never delivered.. We had to keep asking and asking to the point we felt like a bother. The banner finally came a day later but no gift. We finally had to say something on our last day and it showed up, with Happy Birthday written on the plate... Smh... The room was nice but hot most of the time. Almost as if the air couldn't keep up with the heat. The pool was great.. A lot of missing and loose tiles though, but still beautiful. The laguna villas pool was where we spent most of our time since it was a private area. The cabanas were hard to come by - they really should have more. You had to reserve them the day before but somehow at the first part of the week, they were all reserved first thing in the morning? Yeah, ok. Luckily some one didn't show so we got theirs at noon. The shuttle throughout the resort needs to run more frequently or something.. Definitely can't get anywhere fast if you choose to ride it. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for and very clean. Calling room service was always fun because they never got the order right because I'm pretty sure no one knew a lot of English in there. The mini fridge didn't get stocked consistently. We would have way too much of stuff we didn't drink at all and none of what we did. The drinks could be stronger... They were good but you had to drink 5 or more before you even buzzed a little bit. The bars at the pools close at 5, which is ridiculous. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy that later. Overall we had a good time. I've been to other all inclusives that were a little better at being more efficient, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Surprise visit

We were supoosed to be in the Dominican last week but had to change our reservations due to Hurricane Irma. Cheap Caribbean was amazing in helping us switch and ended up booking us at the Grand Riviera Princess. It was truly a week in paradise. Couldn't come up with a single complaint if I tried!! Yoga on the beach at 7:00 AM is a must!

Give your family a break and head for Grand Riviera Princess All Suites Resort & Spa where 13 is your lucky number. Among other perks, 13 dining options feature chefs who take care of the work while you take care of yourself. Located on a palm-lined beach in the Mayan Riviera, the resort belongs to the Grand Riviera Princess complex and treats couples and families to 12 swimming pools and 13 bars.

Spend the day lounging under a palapa or Riviera Maya sunshine, or find your favorite spot at one of the 13 pools. When it's time to eat, let your cravings guide you through 13 dining options: kids love the teppanyaki show at Miso, and the fresh shrimp fajitas at La Hacienda are sizzling! Grab cones from the ice-cream parlor and check out the nightly entertainment at Princess Theatre. Want to catch the game at 5th Avenue Sports Bar or show off your moves at Areito Disco? Drop the kids off at the evening Mini Club, where video games and a kids' disco offer them fun, while you're free to have yours.

The fun keeps coming with all inclusive water sports: kayaking, windsurfing or snorkeling. With a Mini Club for children and Funtastic Teen's Club for older kids, you're free to take advantage of the Spa Princess. This full-service spa is home to an incredible water circuit divided into five zones: Asia for Roman baths, Europe for Finnish baths, Africa for Turkish baths, Oceania with an underwater massage pool, and the unbelievable America "polysensorial" room, where guests indulge in stimulations of smell, sight and sound.

The royal treatment continues at Grand Princess on the Riviera Maya; each suite offers elegant decor in spacious settings and fully stocked mini bars. We recommend the Jr. Suite Deluxe for families: it's big enough for everyone and the bathroom has a Jacuzzi.
