Nov 06, 2025I’ve had better…..
So let’s start with the good. Prices are great and I just came down here with my cousin to do some diving (Beautiful diving in Cozumel!). Very courteous staff (really the norm among Mexican workers). Italian restaurant is really good! Highly recommend. Rooms are nice and cool and the beds are comfortable. The buffet and the other restaurants are very mid to lower quality. Now let’s move on to the bad. They play dubstep on repeat loudly EVERYWHERE!! I mean you can’t get away from it. Read the room and change it up people!! It’s like musical water torture. They lower the exchange rate when you go to the front desk to get change for dollars to PAY THEIR STAFF TIPS!!!! I realize this is from the top down and I don’t blame the people working here so I didn’t get upset with them, just doing their job. They basically drop the exchange rate by 10% which is just robbery. Don’t even think about going to the ATM!! Other than that, I don’t believe I would ever return based on these negatives.

This is a great place for a relaxing week! The buffet is not as large as others, but is packed with quality choices. We really loved the café! It's a perfect place to grab coffee and a bite while your group is trickling down in the mornings. The beach is very small, but the adult swim area is amazing!! We would definitely return!

Recommended, but not sure I'd call it luxury
Our 4th trip here and won't be our last, but the resort is in need of some upkeep and remodeling. Our room AC wouldn't get lower than 76 which felt "cool" but in a tropical climate, wasn't cold enough for us at night. We were also sad the dive shop next door had closed up. We were recommended a snorkel tour and a dive trip that wrecked both sub-par. Do you research and make sure your tours take you to the national park! We made the assumption we'd be going there, but you know what they say about assuming...the food is so-so for the most part - seafood restaurant for lunch was fabulous, th other restaurants were pretty good, but the buffet wasn't great. regardless it's a nice resort with fantastic employees who are always friendly and helpful! It's a good value for sure!
