Great times had at this amazing resort!

This was my 2nd visit to this resort and I will definitely be back again soon! The customer service is impeccable! Amazing butler, Yajahira Nic to me is the heart of this resort! She tends to your every need or want and truly takes care of the guest 150%. She made sure I had a great birthday celebration 🥳 Thank you ❤️ The service on the beach was good no complaints, Yahira was the best! She got to know us and she was there spot on all day! I love the Italian restaurant for breakfast. That is my favorite. I have now had everything on the breakfast menu. The waffles are delicious 😋 We had Hibachi for birthday dinner and Alex was hilarious 😂. He made our meal most enjoyable. The only comment I have to make about staying here is that I have stayed in the villas both times (love 😍) and we were not able to get into water in front of our area. It is a little disappointing as I do like some privacy and that is why I chose the villa. We actually went in the water that was open to resort next to villas as it was closer to us. Most of the times the water in front of villas was clear and calm. Not sure why this are is open. All in all this place is amazing. And I can’t wait to go back. A very special “Thank You” to Yajahira, Yahira and Gregorio!!!!! Becky

    Just Okay

Overall, we had an "okay" stay. I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend unless a person truly doesn't care about eating and wants to be hassled the entire trip. Upon arrival, we were immediately ushered by the concierge to the sales area for the sales pitch for the morning breakfast timeshare meeting (we expected that) by the woman who was to "give us information about the hotel". It's a fairly annoying way to start a vacation when you're already tired from traveling. Also, she didn't provide any information about the actual hotel or where to find anything aside from vaguely waving at the buffet. The communication was lacking in terms of when or where the nightly entertainment was held (the activity board didn't provide this information). We also didn't receive a PIN to use the app which apparently is needed for the room service. The app information doesn't align with the hotel map info (i.e. the Italian restaurant isn't listed as having breakfast) Pros: - One of the nicest beaches I've visited - No issues finding a palapa on the beach at 9:00 am - Handy location to the tourist shopping area (15-20 min walk on the main stretch - Mercado Coral Negro and Plaza la Fiesta if you want some overpriced trinkets) - Service staff (restaurants and cleaning were friendly and thorough) - The Cafe Sol coffee and gelatos were tasty Cons: - The food was not good overall, the exceptions being the omelet or taco stations. Even the specialty restaurants were hit or miss in terms of flavour, texture, and general portion sizes: Italian restaurant served 3 rings of calamari which were lukewarm and chewy. The risotto was undercooked. The Asian restaurant appetizers were also lukewarm and the ramen was made of a salty broth with sad egg noodles. The chicken satay with pineapple sauce was a dry chunk of chicken on a stick with no sauce. Another couple mentioned the pad thai tasted like it was made with jam. The Mexican restaurant had decent items for lunch though their dinner had the same "left out for a few hours" feel with the main dishes. The menu doesn't align with what you actually get (i.e. churros with dipping sauce but it's really just a cold churro from the side dessert table with no sauce). - The buffet was also surprisingly limited in selection. Definitely the worse buffet I've had in the 5 or 6 resorts I've stayed at. - The salespeople in the hall are tiresome. Every single time we walked by them they were trying to sell us a tour or timeshare or book an appointment. The also don't take a simple "no" and would run alongside us to continue talking. Things we discovered: - You can request bacon, toast, and butter from the buffet servers - We were told no reservations were required for the specialty restaurants (exception being the Hibachi at Koi) but tons of people seemed to have it and we were left waiting a couple times. - Some rooms have blue waterbottles for your use. Ours didn't but my family in the room beside us did.

Very disappointed and it’s not worth the money

Honestly, I wouldn’t come back. We came as a big family, booked four rooms, and asked to be close together — they split us up anyway. My room was late and not what I asked for. We were celebrating three birthdays and got zero acknowledgment. The buffet food was pretty bad, and the service at the desk felt careless. Even their app doesn’t work. Just disappointing overall.

I would not recommend at all.

Very poor management and service. Check-in was delayed, our room requests were ignored, and even though we were celebrating birthdays, there was zero effort from the staff. The food is basic and tasteless, the front desk is slow, and the service app doesn’t work at all. We expected much more for the price — not recommended.

very disappointed, not worth the money

We stayed at this hotel as a family and booked four rooms, clearly requesting that all rooms be next to each other. Unfortunately, this request was completely ignored, and we were placed in different areas of the hotel, which made our family stay very inconvenient. I also informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating three birthdays during our stay. I expected at least a small gesture or acknowledgment, but nothing was arranged — no decoration, no note, not even a simple greeting. When we arrived, my room was not ready until half an hour after the official check-in time (3:00 PM), and although I requested two separate beds, I was given one bed instead. The service from the front desk was slow and inefficient, and most staff members seemed indifferent and unhelpful. The hotel’s service app does not work properly, making it difficult to reach staff or request anything during the stay. In addition, the food quality was very poor, both in variety and taste — far below what you would expect from a hotel of this level. Overall, our experience was very disappointing. We had high expectations, but the lack of attention to detail, the poor service, and the low food quality made our stay frustrating rather than enjoyable. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the experience for future guests.
