Wonderful trip over the New Year

The warm, inviting and professional staff make the difference. We did upgrade and found the dedicated service (Daniel) to be worthy. We wish to also highlight the hospitality of Yuliana, Alejandro, Diane, Alicia, Argelia, Luis, Hector and Ernestina to be top-notch. Recommending this hotel for a welcomed and warm stay in Cancun.

    Very Good with some issues

PROS - Perfect Beach - Food was very good by Cuban standards, just good by Mexican standards - Premier Tower Rooms were updated to relatively modern standards - Maintenance was super fast in addressing No Air Conditioning, Plumbing Issues, and Broken Shower handles - Pools were clean and comfortable. (Ignore any "too cold" whining) CONS - Check in - We were the only people checking in near midnight, and the process took almost 25 minutes. This is partially down to the individual, but mainly the ridiculous, bloated, inefficient process. - Information held hostage at check-in. They told us NOTHING other than "Your room is that way". If we wanted to know about the resort layout, wifi, app, restaurants, etc., we would have to attend the "welcome breakfast," which was just an aggressive Timeshare pitch. - The app NEVER worked throughout the whole stay for ordering room service. - (This is probably more of a Cancun in general thing.) The whole vibe was kind of a sleazy tourist trap thing where people were friendly, but it was all about the tips and the upsell. Want towels? They are at the excursion huts where you will be pitched hard on every visit. - Hot Tub by the main pools. Nothing hot about it. Luke warm water and the jets never worked or were able to be switched on, but the main issue was that despite very large "Adults Only, Max 6 people" signs, there were always 6 to 8 young kids in it along with their *diot parents. Staff never enforced the policies. Overall, a good resort and a good stay, but the Cancun Tourist Trap vibe wasn't for us, and it didn't feel 100% authentically Mexican (more of a Temu Vegas).

    The perfect vacation!

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful resort with my partner for a five-day vacation beginning November 19, 2025. We travel to Mexico every year for a short getaway and have always chosen Puerto Vallarta in the past. This year, we decided to try Cancun, and after extensive research, this resort truly stood out. I can confidently say I’m so glad we booked it — five days was simply not enough! The resort itself is stunning, with excellent restaurants, a gorgeous beach and pool area, and beautifully appointed rooms. My parents joined us on this trip and stayed in the adults-only Royal Select building, which was just a short walk from our oceanfront suite. Rooms: Grand Villa Master Suite Ocean Front (our stay): The suite was incredibly spacious, featuring a large, comfortable couch & bed & a beautiful bathroom. Our private terrace, complete with a plunge pool right on the beach and overlooking the ocean, was absolutely breathtaking. Royal Suite Double Hot Tub Beachfront (parents’ stay – adults only): This room was also very spacious with a lovely layout, a large jacuzzi, and an absolutely stunning ocean view. Beach & Ocean: Because we were staying in upgraded rooms, we received VIP status, which included complimentary use of the beach cabanas (normally around $200 USD per day). Reservations can be made through your butler. The cabanas were beautiful and included food and drink service. While service could take a little time, we didn’t mind at all. The sand was soft and the water warm. This side of Cancun has a constant breeze, which was a welcome relief from the heat, though it does create fairly strong waves. Lifeguards were very attentive, adjusting designated swimming areas throughout the day for safety. While the approved swimming area could feel small at times, we still had a lot of fun in the waves. Pools: We initially expected to spend most of our time at the adults-only pool, but we ended up preferring the main pool. It was large, located right on the beach, and featured a great swim-up bar. The adults-only pool was also nice and had a swim-up bar, but it was smaller and windier, so we didn’t spend much time there. Food: - Poolside snack bar: Rotating daily options such as burgers, fries, tacos, and fajitas — all very tasty. - Buffet: While not the largest buffet I’ve experienced, the quality was very good. There were many seafood options (which my partner loved), and although I don’t eat seafood, I always found plenty to enjoy and left satisfied. - À la carte restaurants: All were excellent. Our favorites were the Italian restaurant and the Teppanyaki grill — both absolutely delicious. Staff: Overall, the staff were friendly and pleasant. I did notice that service in Puerto Vallarta tends to be a bit more attentive compared to Cancun, something I had heard prior to traveling. There were occasional waits of 15 minutes or more at the pool bar, but this didn’t bother us much. If needed, I simply walked to the other side of the bar where service seemed quicker. A special shout-out goes to our butler, Jesica, who was incredibly attentive and kind. She truly enhanced our experience. Final Thoughts: This was hands down my favorite all-inclusive resort I’ve ever visited. While we usually enjoy trying new resorts, this is one I will absolutely return to.

    4 star resort with problems

This is a beautiful resort in a stunning location. The majority of the staff are friendly and clearly want to please the guests. Issues: the rooms need a small amount of update - consider putting in a modern shower head with hand-held. The buffet food is mid-level. The food at the restaurants is better but it, overall could use some work. My partner had the chicken parm at the italian restaurant and it was disappointing. My vegan meal was lovely though. Similar experience in the mexican restaurant. The asian restaurant was great for both of us though. We had some service and room issues at the start of our stay that were easily avoidable - my advice is if it's not right, be vocal and use their app to let them know. They turned things right around for us after I did so. If you are easy going about your food and don't have any special needs from a food or physical perspective, you should be fine and will likely enjoy your stay. Personally, I ended up quite ill in the latter half of my stay due to an error in how my food was handled so if you have worries in this area, you may want to be extra vocal about how your food is prepped and handled. and perhaps stay away from anything that isn't cooked.

    Amazing resort and staff

Perfect resort! The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever had at a resort. The service and staff are impeccable. Everything is spotless. The beach is beautiful. This resort is not so big that everything is crowded. Will stay here every time we visit Cancun.
