A beautiful place to spend your vacation!
We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. I got a VIP room, and the room was very spacious, comfort and with a Jacuzzi tub, and the balcony right by the beach and ocean. The staffs cleaned the room twice a day, and they were extremely nice and friendly. On the first night, there was a leak from the Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom all the way to our beds, so our clothes, shoes were wet; Also, the shower drainage was clogged and the shower became very smelly. However, these two issues were fixed right away, and we were very thankful about their efficiencies :) The hotel offered the greatest view 360 degree, from our room, from the pool and from the VIP lounge!!! The food in the VIP lounge is great, especially the breakfast :) The hotel also offered a number of activities and shows, and we really enjoyed watching their fire show and their music and BINGO night! :) With all those great things being said about this hotel, if I have to complain, I think the food could be better, especially the private dinnings. While we were totally fine with the continental buffet, the Mexican food, the Japanese fusion food, and to some extend, the Italian food could be improved. With such a high price tag during Christmas, I have expected more authentic food than we had there. But I probably shouldn't be complaining since the amount of visitors the hotel was facing to entertain must be huge. Overall, we love this hotel and would for sure recommend to our friends.

Has Potential
This resort is beautiful, clean, and modern, with some genuinely great moments sprinkled in. Unfortunately, it is also slow, has poor communication and is inconsistently serviced. If you value efficiency, clear information, or not being soft-cornered into timeshare pitches while jet-lagged, buckle up. PROS: The Property & Cleanliness The resort itself is gorgeous. Modern, well-kept, and impressively clean to the point where cleanliness sometimes feels like priority over visitor satisfaction. Staff are constantly sweeping, mopping, clearing, and resetting. At one point, I watched a staff member meticulously wiping down the perimeter fencing, bar by bar, by hand, using only a cloth and a bucket of water. The place looks pristine at all times, sometimes at the expense of guest experience, but still impressive. You can also see the ocean from almost everywhere on the property, which never gets old. Beach & Pools The beach is beautiful, very clean, and has excellent, comfortable, well-maintained furniture. The adult pool was our go-to spot. Quiet, well located, and offering stunning ocean views. Downside: the adult pool is ice cold. Shockingly cold. The ocean, when weather allowed, was noticeably warmer. Gym & Facilities The gym is clean and well maintained. Nothing special, but just enough. Buffet, Cafe & Snack Bar The buffet food is hit or miss. Some meals are great, others are mediocre or bad. Vegetarian options, however, are plentiful, which was a huge plus. Special shout-out to two different José’s at the buffet, who provided genuinely excellent service, even by western standards. These men deserve raises, statues, or at least a fruit carving in their honour. The snack bar by the main pool is the best place for quick, reliable food. Burgers, fries, nachos, pizza, and unlimited guacamole and pico de gallo were consistent and satisfying. The cafe is excellent, with great grab-and-go options like veggie cups, sandwiches, pastries, cappuccinos, slushies, and ice cream. Drinks & Extras Alcohol brand selection is good. Water refill stations are everywhere, which was an excellent feature at the resort. Bringing a reusable water bottle is highly recommended. The room fridge is refilled daily with pop and beer. Room service is a great perk: one free order per day, delivered within an hour. Poolside drink service is very nice when it happens, though inconsistent. The lovely lady who was doing this service by the adult pool was wonderful! There is a juice bar by the adult pool with freshly squeezed juices, which was a great addition. Atmosphere & Entertainment Live violin and saxophone music at the adult beach was excellent. The main pool had a lot more going on - at one point we even saw a foam party! However, we were looking for a more low-key vacation this trip, so we stayed away from all the excitement down there. The sky bar offers great views, comfortable seating, and beautiful sunsets, though it is not always enforced as adults-only. A nightly market runs every evening. Not our personal thing, but likely enjoyable for others. Evening shows happened every eveneing. Fire shows, traditional dancing, etc. There were okay. Hammocks are available, though they are fully in the sun. Rooms & Wi-Fi The king ocean view room had a beautiful view. Shower pressure and temperature were good. Evening shows were sometimes visible from the balcony. Wi-Fi was fantastic throughout the entire resort, fast and reliable everywhere. Wildlife There are iguanas everywhere. They leave guests alone and add a fun, unexpected charm to the property. CONS Check-In & Concierge Check-in itself was slow but manageable. The larger issue was being sent to concierge before being allowed to fully check in, where we were pressured into attending a three-hour morning meeting under the promise of gifts. Refusal was not easily accepted. We were not given useful information about the resort. This lack of information caused several disappointments later, thanks largely to Maria, whose focus appeared to be excursions, upsells, and timeshares, not helping guests. À La Carte Restaurants The three à la carte restaurants do not require reservations, which sounds appealing until you consistently wait over an hour to be seated. Once seated, expect to wait 30–40 minutes per course. Portions are small and quality is inconsistent. One restaurant visit was good, while another resulted in raw salmon being served. The Italian restaurant presents a wine list without clearly explaining that many options cost extra. We stopped visiting the restaurants altogether due to the long waits and inconsistent quality. Teppanyaki Reservations We only discovered the option for a Teppanyaki Dinner about halfway through the stay as conceirage was too busy trying to sign up for a timeshare instead of giving us information about the resort. Turns out it requires lining up at guest services at 8 am to secure a spot. Arriving at 8:01 resulted in missing the final available reservation. On a later day, arriving between 7–8 am finally secured a spot. The experience itself was fun but ended abruptly, with no dessert and very small portions. Service Consistency Service quality varies significantly. Buffet service often involved forgotten or incomplete orders. If you ask for two things, expect one. And maybe even the wrong one. Staff frequently appeared overwhelmed or inattentive. Bartenders were neutral but not particularly personable or charismatic. Reception staff were slow and often unhelpful and/or not knowledgable. Resort App The app is poorly designed and unreliable. Event listings lack locations, schedules are disorganised, and information is often repeated or missing. Many of the buttons lead to an error page. Housekeeping & Privacy Housekeeping was adequate, though floors were not swept - a must for sandy vacations! One evening, staff entered our room unexpectedly after housekeeping hours. Front desk was shocked and security was called. Apperently an evening bed turdown service exists, which is why they entered our room while we were at dinner. Front desk staff were initially unaware this service existed, and we did not receive this service any of the previous 4 days of our stay... Management could not provide a reasonable explanation. Suspicious? Maybe. Kids Entertainment The kids club appeared well-equipped from the outside, and advertised many excellent activities, though we didn't have any kids with us, so we aren't certain how consistently activities occurred. Checkout & Departure There is no option to freshen up after checkout unless paying $50 USD per hour to extend the room. Guests do retain all-inclusive access until 4 pm, which is nice. Missed Honeymoon Amenity We were promised a "cupcake-sized cake" for our honeymoon. It never arrived.Did we need it? No. Is it weird to promise it and then not deliver? Yes. Final Departure Issue Despite sitting directly in front of the bell desk with our luggage, the bell boy told our airport driver he couldn’t find us.We received an email saying we were no-shows and would be charged. We nearly missed our transfer, as a result of his negligence. Final Thoughts This resort is visually impressive and extremely clean, but suffers from poor communication, slow service, and inconsistent guest experience. With patience and adjusted expectations, it can still be enjoyable, particularly for guests who prioritise atmosphere over efficiency. Would I return? Maybe. But only emotionally prepared this time around.

Great hotel! Value for money!
This hotel is great value for money! Positives: - access to the beach - rooms are nice and kept clean - well stock bar - the pools are nice and right by the beach - we always had sun beds - great activities for kids - even at 100% capacity the hotel does not feel crowded - price is reasonable Negatives - the food has plenty to desire (quality) dishes where always cold. - the service is nice but it seems like the hotel is always understaffed

Bad experience
Food and service were terrible. I will not recommend this hotel at all. Overall, the experience was very average. The hotel facilities feel quite dated, and the service was generally okay but not very proactive. The biggest downside was the food. The quality was below average and there were often long waits to get seated, with both service and taste falling short. The beach and ocean views were nice, which was a plus, but the hotel itself was quite noisy. Housekeeping starts early and can be loud, and the soundproofing is not great. Overall, it was a very mediocre stay and I would not choose to stay here again next time.
