Got insects bites during my stay
All in all this is a good resort for short getaway. Food and entertainment were nice. Beautiful beaches. However, I got insects bites during the stay. Housekeeper was nice and helping us change bedsheets and covers, issues still existed, which was not being addressed. We like this resort but this insect bite issue may be a reason for us not going back to this resort again

Not as good as Grand Palladium Colonial in Mexico
We had various issues during our stay, like staff trying to get in our room after 10pm. Service good, but slow getting coffee in the morning or beer at night. We had a loft room, which was great.

Good food, largely friendly staff, but rooms are dated, they run out of towels every day and BEWARE THE TRAVEL CLUB SCAM
We stayed with our four children for a week in mid October. The first thing we experienced was the Travel club mega scam on our first morning after the promise of a resort tour and welcome breakfast, with no initial mention of the time share aspect. After about an hour of ridiculously and endlessly being passed from one rep to the next we realised that it was a marketing scam/ploy and we got out of there, fortunately with enough time to get our breakfast at the buffet. Honestly Grand Palladium - preying on families with young children and subjecting them to this nonsense is poor form and it overshadowed our whole stay. A complete waste of our time. Rooms were fine (2 loft suites) but in need of modernisation, lots of the railings (including on the balcony) were rusting/loose which I found stressful with young children, fixings are tired. Frustratingly they were carrying out renovations on an adjacent room during our stay and it was SO NOISY in the room. We had a few days of bad weather so were largely confined to being inside for 24h and the drilling noises/plaster dust were too much. The reception team couldn’t really care less when I reported this and didn’t offer a room move. Food overall was very good - we only ate at an a la carte once at El Dorado and it was rubbish (slow service, items not bearing any resemblance to what we had ordered, my vegetarian daughter being repeatedly asked if she would eat dishes fish or meat - she doesn’t). So we cancelled our other reservations and just ate at Las Torres and Poseidon and very much enjoyed both. We tended to get our drinks at the pool bar and carry them over as the fountain drinks at the buffet were flat. Excellent cold beer though. We also enjoyed the coffee bar with cakes/doughnuts in the lobby and went here most days late afternoon for a snack and to play cards. Loved the pools - warm, not crowded, lots of sunbeds, good drinks and beautifully cold/icy - but they KEPT running out of towels in the early afternoon - really annoying. The towel guy at the pool just shrugged and wasn’t remotely apologetic about this. Just get some more towels!!! We mostly stayed at the quiet/family pool in Palace rather than the busier main pool. We did a boat trip one day from the dive centre and the whole crew was fab, thank you. We loved the beach. Spa was great. The poor weather - nobody’s fault - made for a rather challenging week but even if it had been gloriously sunny we wouldn’t plan to return to this resort.
