Things to Know
- It's 50 miles south of Cancun airport. It's a drive, but when you arrive, you won't want to leave.

- Bring water shoes. Most of the beach is great, but it's rocky where you might want to snorkel.

I mainly chose this hotel due to the large variety of dining options and facilities such as watersports and mini golf. Upon arrival we realized that 3 of the restaurants are closed/being renovated, and 2 more have a very hefty surcharge, and a couple more are for the Family section only so that drastically reduced the options. The watersport turned out to be limited to 30min per day, advice that it was payable. The mini golf course is practically abandoned and in an unusable state. The beach was lovely for the most part, but 1/3rd was dedicated to the watersport facilities such as kayaks, SUPs etc, and the remainder was again separated to 3 areas, for Family section guests, to premium members, and the average guest... For me this ruins the all inclusive experience a bit, once you start distinguishing between guests...

Wonderful hotel and staff. Weather fab (although when it rains it’s biblical). Food fantastic. Although no trips were undertaken the trip was enjoyable and relaxing. I would definitely recommend the Bravo Experience.

Hotel is nice but not 5 star Food not replenished very quick Towels and drinks in the room not replenished to the full Every booking on the al a carte your made to wait 20 mins before being seated Pool is nice plenty of sun beds However beach has seaweed and stones and sea was very murky Be aware the airport is 1 hour away but takes 2 with collections and you get picked up 6hrs before your flight

Ok hotel but with good facilities but with the potential to be excellent if they improved their customer service.
Let me start by saying that if you came to this hotel you would have a good time. We are currently two thirds of the way through a two week stay. The facilities that it offers are good as you share with the colonial and white sands. The pool area is good and there are plenty of themed restaurants to choose from. You can book these 3 days in advance and there is no limit to how many. We ate in the buffet do the first and second night and then ate in a different themed restaurant every other night since. The rooms are spacious, the pools are clean and tidy with plenty of sun beds. All of the evening entertainment is centred at the colonial lobby and bar area. Sebastian from the concierge desk is excellent and we would definitely recommend speaking to him for anything you need. Negatives: The beach is ok but not as good as further towards playa car. Customer service is hit and miss in the bars. Quite often they run out of things which is understandable once in a while but not as often as happens here. On one occasion we were told by the bar staff that they do not have any white wine. They then told us to go to one of the restaurants to get some! We instead asked the bar staff to try and see if THEY could go and get some! They often leave one bar staff member serving customers while another one will be cleaning the bar down early and will not serve anyone no matter how busy. They quite often walk around the pool area removing towels even though personal belongings are on them. This happened to us when we were in the pool to 10 minutes and came back to find they had taken ours. All in all it is an ok hotel but with the potential to be fantastic if they improved their customer service. At other hotels you see senior staff walking around making sure everything is ok. Here you only see senior staff in the themed restaurants.

Fabulous Holiday however, mosquitoes!!
Well we have had an amazing holiday the staff are terrific too numerous to mention they can’t do enough for you, room was spacious clean and well maintained. HOWEVER don’t go unprepared for these giant mosquitoes they’re lethal, buy the strongest OFF you can else you will have to pay way over the odds in the resort shop (as you’re a captive audience) I mean £60 for a can of spray and some calamine cream. I had already used the two tubes of the sting and bite cream I took with me to no avail I was in absolute agony as was most of the Hotel guests btw, oh and lets not forget £10 for bag of crisps 😳 flip flop!! I later bought some crisps in Playa del Carmen with nuts and biscuits for 140 peso’s I mean I thought the geezer was yanking my chain lol. Oh the wildlife are amazing so entertaining but they are proper little thieves, so strap your bag down is all I shall say lol You will have a blast I promise x
