Great value - didn’t use the kids club as it was difficult to find though our 7 year old wanted to stay with us. Food was good staff was good - long lines for drinks at the sister hotel - enjoyed the quietness of our hotel, was very relaxing . Staff was very attentive!! Not many Americans many spanish speaking families made it tough for my son to make friends. We feel as though we paid $$$ for a catermarge cruise snorkeling was horrible though my son did it which was great! Staff on the boat was awesome food was great. Overall great time had by all - would be nice if there was a teen place to hang for my teenager - will def go back!

Family Fun

We had visited Grand Oasis Palms previously. We wanted to take our children and grandchildren on a trip to the resort. The resort was so family and children friendly. Grandchildren had a ball, swimming, going to the Kids Club, watching the movies, making crafts, enjoying the beach, lying in the hammocks, eating at all of the restaurants. The Kids Club had responsible and caring staff who fed the children so that the adults could have a nice dinner. The Pirate Ship parked next to the resort was an added attraction. On Friday afternoon we were able to set sail on the ship for free, they provided drinks and snacks while we were entertained by some rowdy pirates. We also enjoyed free kayaking out in front of the resort. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We plan to go back again.

Reasonable

The hotel was perfect for the price I paid. It was clean, the room was big and Housekeeping did a fantastic job to keep it clean and filled with amenities at all times. I was not found of some of the restaurant's practices of making the reservation in person and having to stay on line for up to 1 hour in the middle of the sun and heat. I like to enjoy my vacation by the pool and by the beach not on line making a restricted reservation based on their available times only to which sometimes after an hour wait there is no spaces available. Other than that, everyone was nice, professional, friendly and willing to help with any questions or concerns I had. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay and will recommend this resort to others.

Good Hotel with horrible food and drinks!

We stayed at the Grand Oasis Palm the first week of April. The resort was crowded with Spring Breakers from all over the world. We stayed in the Grand side of the resort, our room overlooked the infinity pool and our view from the hallway was amazing as it overlooked the rest of Cancun. We arrived early Sunday morning and were able to utilize the whole resort while our room was being prepared. The beach is amazing, you can walk right out into the ocean and the water is clear and there isn't a lot of seaweed. The ocean water is calm with the only waves coming from passing boats and ferry's. Be prepared to be bombarded with salesman on the beach, selling their wares. Getting a sun lounger on the beach or around the pools is a bit of a struggle, especially if you are wanting shade. You will need to wake up around 7am to reserve one with your towels. The infinity pool was always packed and very noisy. The kids pool with the slides and trampoline are in a pool that is 6ft deep, so it is hard to help kids when Adults can't even stand in the pool. All other pools were always packed. In order to get the minibar refilled in our room we had to call down to the concierge, 1 night they didn't send anyone up after we called, the 2nd night they sent someone right away. We used the kids club 1 evening, our kids said they never wanted to go back. The resort is very noisy at night, with music, signing and dancing ending around 11pm, didn't bother us, but I could see how it would bother others. The food is horrible. There were times, I wasn't exactly sure what kind of meat I was eating, everything was bland with limited options. There was usually a line at the buffet restaurants, I recommend eating earlier in the evening. At the restaurants you have to make a reservation for, most at Adults Only and you have to sit in a line starting at 3:30 to make your reservation for that evening. We ate at the Maki Taco, we were told the portion sizes were small and were given 1 of each section on the menu. When we asked for more food, the server was less than pleased, but we eventually were given it. Two nights we ordered pizza and pasta from nearby restaurants and had it delivered to the resort. There is only 2 bars near the pools/beach with 1 being a swim up bar and at the beach/snack bar there was always a long line. The tequila bar was always empty with great bartenders, however it is Adults only and you had to be dry and wearing clothes/swimsuit cover-up to enter. Alcohol was disappointing, it must have been cut with water or something. We ended up going to a convenience store to purchase beer/alcohol. I highly recommend taking the day pass and visiting the Grand Oasis Cancun resort, the resort is larger and was less crowded with awesome pools. Taking the bus there was exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. Also, take the ferry to Isla Mujures, rent a golf cart (once you get to the island) and drive all over. You can pull off the side of the road and enjoy the view and the view is amazing! If your hungry, go to a restaurant called Topaz, food was delicious! We will definitely be going back to Cancun, but will not stay at the Grand Oasis resorts.
