There are better resorts

First off I've been to many resorts. So I have plenty to compare. I made the best out of the experience but i have a lot of regret booking this place. When you first arrive, you have to wait in a big room with chairs with everyone & it's a bit of a scramble to get your key. It's like an orientation. Afyer flying all day I thought it was weird we had to sit forever to get briefed. You're also haggled but cab drivers as soon as you get out your cab. Once we get to our room it's nice ! It's chill. Nice beds. However the mini bar is only stocked with Coke. Sprite. Water & 2 red stripe beers. Like no alcohol. Also No room service. Thought that was insane. Nothing can be brought to room. As far as eating we ate at the buffet everyday. I'd give the food 2 out of 5 stars. It's so hard to reseve a place for dinner every single place needs a reservation & they're very rude if you didn't know this & go up to eat. Also you have to pay for wifi in your room. Not included. Like wow. Have to pay for the sauna. Pool closes @7. There's no good entertainment. For 24 or 25 year olds I went to the pool didn't have y towel card so I didn't get a towel then went up to get it came back down to the pool & there weren't anymore towel available. After hours if you're hungry one place is open @11 & it's all mast leftovers. The beach they have blocked off for us isn't even like a beach you can't even swim out. Just don't come here I mean you'll have fun it's jamaica but no waste of money. I'm sure there's better I was told the Rios is really good.

Could have been much better

I have been to Jamaica 3 times now and by far this has been the worst of the 3 hotels I stayed in. The people that work on the resort are great and very friendly but the service they provided was lacking, to say the least. Toilet was broken in room, air conditioning was barely blowing in the room, and not many choices to eat. We only got to make reservations for 2 resteraunts on the resort out of the 4 days we were there. Pool and beach were the best part.

NOT THE PLACE TO BE

Beautiful Hotel and the food was great but the staff needs to be more professional and accommodating. Checking in is a nightmare !!! and they treat people who buy their vacation packages from third parties such as Cheap Caribbean as though they don't matter. While it may be true that we got a great all inclusive deal the fact remains we were all guests of the facility and should be treated and respected as any other guest regardless of who they booked with. I have no respect or love for them and definitely will NOT be returning there. I have bought other packages from cheapcaribbean and we never had any issues with the hotels we stayed in, on checking in we were automatically upgraded, welcomed with smiles, drinks, cool wipes and treated as well as the other hotel guests....but at this place your checking in experience and room location is based on who you booked with and whether you booked directly with them.....Utter nonsense

The worst resort Far as customer service

The resort overall is beautiful. The customer service is horrible me and my husband went for our ten year anniversary and we called for ice when we first arrived in the room it took the two hours to bring it. The following morning we asked for new wash clothes and was told they will be right up that also took 3 hours so we missed breakfast. We finally got them to go downstairs to get an spa appointment and it was also two other people complaining about wash clothes and ice simple things they were told there's a shortage on wash clothes in the resort never heard of anything like that in a million dollar establishment but ok the next morning I woke up to a roach in the bathroom disgusting. Overall the island is beautiful will travel back just not to this resort.

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive beach bonanza for every member of your fam-bam.

The white, cabana-ish tents that hug the pool and provide shade while you chillax.

Being greeted by colorful, fresh bougainvillea on your massage table in the spa.

The two coolio, curvy pools that are a coconut's throw from the beach.

What We'd Change

The beach is a little pebbly, so make sure you bring your water shoes. The upside is that it makes for truly excellent snorkeling right off shore.

Why You Should Go

It's 75 minutes from Mobay airport. Don't fret. You'll be greeted with a welcome cocktail soon.

The beach is a bit pebbly, so bring your water shoes.

Before your flight home, hit Club Mobay at the airport for A/C, drinks and lots of spoiling.

Book your airport transfers with us before you arrive. You'll avoid a lot of headaches.

Hotel Description

Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica: All-Inclusive & All-Fam-tastic

When you enter the open-air lobby of this Victorian-style resort, you'll immediately feel the Jamaican breezes wash over you. Next, you'll encounter a sea of white, wicker chairs on the expansive porch (they're oh-so British), where you can sip a cocktail and soak in all the awesome of the lush grounds. Wander through the complex and you'll be wowed by the glistening pools and the cerulean waves of Runaway Bay. Grab a Red Stripe from the swim-up bar while your kids can descend into a splash frenzy at their own pool. Then you can all gather for some Jerk Chicken at the snack bar, where you can plot your next adventures: water sports, nightly shows, and more. When might we expect you?
