    Look forward to seeing you again

    Another fun filled visit to our home away from home. My family of five plus our future son-in-law were there for a week prior to thanksgiving and we truly enjoyed our experience. Everything was not perfect but why focus on the negative when so much was beyond our expectations. We are members and truly enjoy the GR Solaris and family of employees. I’ve suggested trying Cabo and my family shoots the idea down immediately because they all say we’ll miss out on seeing our friends at the GR. Our last two trips to the GR we have noticed a greater focus on the members. The various private demonstrations with tequila, wine, chocolate and ceviche were nice breaks during the days. As well as bringing back choices for the excursions. We enjoyed the ATV/cenote/shopping experience this time and the cave exploration in July. Both were incredible. The Members Day activities including the private foam party was awesome (members day activities are on Tuesday). I also enjoyed the cold plunge with the neck and spine adjustment by the pool. Mexican day with the mechanical bull is always a hit and any activity including the entertainment staff will intrigue my family. One of my biggest surprises was the entertainment at the gala dinner. My family cannot stop talking about the group Red Shoes Mexico. The guitarist and three female vocalist were phenomenal. Time for some name drops….. Manuel and Darvin at breakfast keep us entertained while enjoying Obelia’s special omelets. Izrael and Rueben, thanks for keeping us active around the pool. Marco, I always enjoy your humor and thanks for hosting the karaoke night. Gracie, you may be in the kids club now but our family loves that you’re still available for a quick hug. Caesar, we look forward to getting to know you better. Alan, the pizza’s are amazing. Feliciano, my friend, thank you for such great service. Abram, thank you for your many years of service and for training all of the new guys behind the bar. Del Dios, beer and lime please 👍🏻. A special shout out to Lizbeth. As an experienced pool waitress, she had just returned from a work related ankle injury and struggled through her first day back. With the low season, only the pool bar was open so she walked from the adult pool to the pool bar for each and every order. Your efforts did not go unnoticed and we truly appreciate you. A request for next time. I would really appreciate a few rocking chairs between Don Gus and the beach to enjoy the sights and sounds in the late afternoon/early evening. I sometimes feel like a beached whale trying to get into a pool lounger. The biggest issue now is the unfortunate neighbor resort casting shade and chilling the pool. This will eventually crush the GRs numbers as word gets out. How can you fix this? I’m not sure but the pool is too cold to enjoy unless you are actively swimming or exercising. If we can’t get some sun on it, there needs to be some kind of heat source to warm the water. We love you, Nina.

    Lizeth is one of the most beautiful souls who provides exemplary guest services while also the consummate professional! We love her all the way from Canada! 💕 The beach chairs need to be upgraded as they are very wore out! Pool deck should be cleaned more often. Silly guests leaving their food out for seagulls should have to go to resort detention!

    Christmas Vacation
