Best Vacation Ever!

Galley Bay Resort is one of the best places I have been. The staff from the desk clerk, restaurant servers, housekeeping staff, and maintenance workers all greeted you with a smile and thanked you for visiting. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The resort itself felt like I was on a private island with having the resort being a bird sanctuary. It was pretty awesome. The three dining options had really tasty food. The one and only drawback is the men having to wear long pants and a collared shirt every night for dinner. The dining experience is outside in an already warm, humid place and the men have to wear long pants sweating to eat dinner. I went deep sea fishing and caught a Wahoo and brought back some filets of it and the chefs grilled it for dinner for us. It was delicious. My overall rating is definitely a 5! I will be back to visit again.

Must visit again and again

This place was amazing! My new wife and I spent our honeymoon here and enjoyed every minute. Wish we could have done a few more excursions or spent some time in town(our choice) but hung out at the resort and enjoyed the amenities provided. Staff was great and very friendly. We will be going back as soon as we can!

Highly recommend this place

I have traveled to 10 different Caribbean countries, so I know what I am talking about. I did a lot of research and read a lot of the reviews that other guest had posted. They alll were wonderful which is why we decided to check it out. And, we fell in love!!! When you first arrive at Galley Bay you are not expecting the resort to be as nice as it is. The reception area is not close to the rest of the resort. A golf cart takes you to the hotel and you are immediately greeted by a dirty looking lake. DO NOT be fooled though, this place is beautiful! We went as a couples vacation (6 of us) and we had an amazing time. The beach and views from the resort are amazing and breathtaking. You really do get your moneys worth. The hospitality at the resort is wonderful too, we loved Kenya! We arrived at our room and the AC was not turned off. As you can imagine, the room was very hot but someone immediately came out to turn it on and fix it. The issue was resolved and the receptionist kept calling everyday to make sure our AC was working well and the maintenance guy would stop by as well. The food is all really good! Only one restaurant you pay for and although the food is delicious I would say stick to the other restaurants. The food is just as delicious and free. This place is a very low key, not party central. If you are looking to party this is not the resort for you! The bar closes at midnight everyday and there is no club, as there usually is at every other resort I’ve stayed at. There is no pool bar, which is kinda a bummer. However, not a big deal because the bar isn’t that far. A great thing we loved was that we could snorkel right on the beach of the resort. And, they have free water equipment: kayaking, paddle boarding..etc. You only pay for the jetskies but that isn’t too expensive as well. Not a lot of resorts usually do this. We all had a wonderful time and wished the place would of been a little more lively. We all loved the resort and staff and HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to go to Antigua. Also, check out Captain Sean’s excursions. He is a great guy too!
