Toxic cleaners on food surfaces and Overpriced Paywall for Half of the Dinner Menu

I have Zero time, 2 young kids and work 60 hours a week, but leaving a review. Have a Huge safety health concern for everyone especially your kids. The cleaning agents used in the food contact and service areas are NOT food safe... QUAT ammonias do NOT evaporate and are absorbed through the skin. If you READ the directions, even the manufacturer says not for food surfaces; or you must do an extra step after using that product by wiping away the quat ammonias with a wet cloth. You can save money and be just as clean without the Toxins with water and bit of regular soap. Please use a bit of regular soapy water to clean your tables and buffets. The same soapy water as we use to wash our hands after we defecate / have a bowel movement. You NEVER see quat ammonias as a way to clean your hands for a reason - TOXIC. Alcohol - evaporates, soapy water - nontoxic. Quat ammonias - may not smell, but are toxic and do not evaporate. Not sure if Fiesta is trying to temporarily improve their financial line to sell their properties, but there has been a very noticeable significant change in their dining options compared to a year ago. Previously both their Mexican and Italian restaurants were Fantastic; but now half of the menu is behind an Overpriced Paywall. Inflation in Mexico has not been an issue that I can see, beef prices might be slightly higher but now they are charging 2x the amount of the cost of a beef or seafood item than retail. Ie, a steak costs $40--50 USD. Given that the labor costs are already paid for in the all-inclusive, for example if I get a chicken dish, the labor is already paid for; then the steak dishes at MOST should be retail cost; for example $12 for a 16 ounce steak. In reality, should be cheaper, because if not eating the chicken or snapper dish, then you would subtract the cost of that dish ($3-8) from the cost of the steak. Just simple math. Pool heater is not on all of the time - should be! Jacquzzi - lukewarm Get some AC in that palapa restaurant (currently brasa). Gosh darnnit, I know your employees are strong mexicans, but summer heat must be brutal in there for dinner. I'm leaving an extra star because the people are still great! Heraclio at the buffet - always super friendly (have to put on a brave face day in and day out taking care of us overconsumers and mess makers). Manager at the buffet (I am so sorry Mr. E, dont remember your full name) is very professional. Have been here 5 or 6 times, and had some run ins with him trying to run out of the restaurant with a full plate, but he has been always professional and courteous. The only manager I have seen checking in on his guests. David - currently in mexican restaurant - is FANTASTIC. Super friendly, fast, goes an extra mile. Enrique - international buffet dinner - is Great... read my mind, and my drinks appeared out of no where. Franciso Velasquez in Housekeeping - super friendly, brought room items very quickly without question Last, please bring some tip money. You dont need to drop $20. But a $1-2 from everyone really adds up - and they are dealing with us adult vacation toddlers.

    Great staff and experience

This was my third time at this resort and it never disappoints. The service is always unparalleled!! The staff couldn't be any better!! Special mention to Eladio, Reyes, Candido, Japan, Julieto and Celeste who made each and every breakfast an exceptional way to begin each day. Their hospitality, warmth and attention to detail made every morning a great experience and way to start the day. A huge thank you to them all. The entertainment staff and bar tenders could not have been any better either! Everyone made sure that everything was perfect and service with a smile was the name of the game. The poolside bartenders Pedro, Alexis, Alan, Diego, Carlos and Arturo were absolutely amazing. The shots "especial" were a regular highlight in the pool!! The entertainment staff lead by Nestor were simply awesome. Nestor is hilarious and his energy made all of us smile from ear to ear. The people and service make all the difference and this resort does not disappoint with their incredible team! For this reason alone I recommend staying here.

    Book a different resort

We visited the resort January 4-9, 2026. Our sole purpose was to plan my daughters wedding. We had already put a 25% deposit down plus a deposit for the room block however, after being at the resort for 2 hours we all knew the wedding could not be held at this resort. Pro’s: - Staff were for the most part very friendly. Only ran into a couple that weren’t and maybe they were just having an off day. - Beach access was awesome. - Italian restaurant was amazing. Con’s: - Had to pay extra for 2 night sneak peek so could stay in room and not move. Instead of trying to impress the couple, the free 2 nights were in the lowest class of room possible. - Our rooms were in the furthest tower away from lobby. - Bathroom is completely open - shower is in the open, glass separation between sleeping/living area and bathroom. Absolutely no privacy. - No balcony - Unable to have cold water. Bottled water not provided, unable to fit water container in refrigerator. Not sure where ice is, if any. - Buffett is horrible. Only one person at grill, very few serve yourself items. No salad bar, very few fresh fruits and vegetables. Food was like warm at best, including food that should be cold. - Bathroom vanity is extremely small. Unable to have more than 1 persons toiletries - No instructions left in room for how to order room service. Briefly mentioned during check in so it took us a bit to find the menu but still not sure how to order. - TV was set to Spanish with no instructions on how to change to English - Rainfall shower is nice but would like a regular shower head as well. Doesn’t help to get sand off. - Lack of signage on how to get to different towers and elevators - Very dark in the corridors and pool/outside area after the sun goes down. Needs better lighting. - Very humid in the rooms. Had to freeze ourselves in order to make rooms bearable. Actually opened the slider door to let fresh air in the room to try and make it better. - Hot tub not hot - Drop off in pools not safe - Lots of areas where guests can be hurt - short steps, no handrails, steps in odd places, super slick when even slightly wet. - Rooms pretty dark. Only 1 lamp worked. No way the bridal party and guests could get ready adequately if it ended up being a cloudy day. - Guests smoking pot on deck right by indoor bar area. Other guests and kids could not enjoy the space. Walking by was awful. - Once we canceled the wedding, the coordinator didn’t even come talk to us about our issues. - Not sure the cocktails actually had alcohol. I’m a very light drinker and after drinking all day I couldn’t even tell I had had any drinks. - Received invoice, in Spanish, for 2 nights sneak peek rooms after we left. - There was a vendor at night selling cigarettes, cigars and vapes. He was friendly but as of January 1, 2025 vapes were made illegal in Mexico. When I asked about it the response was “don’t worry about it”.

    Great Cancún vacation resort

We have been going to Fiesta Americana Condesa for about 6 years now and the experience was always amazing. In the buffet, Mr. Eladio Heracho has been the absolute best. His team, Mr. Alberto Popeye, Orlando, and Mugy have been the best servers and they will go out of their way to get us what we want. I highly recommend this place because the service there is amazing.
