Great Last Minute Trip

Overall the resort was beautiful. I took my mom here for 6 days and we both had the best vacation of out lives. The views were amazing. The service was incredible everyone was extremely friendly and would always offer food or refreshments wherever we were located in the resort. The place was impecable, it was very well maintained and clean. The only thing that we weren't too happy with was the food, sometimes it would come out really cold and it would take a long time to get. We were almost late to one of our excursions because of it. Also there is no wifi in the rooms only in the lobby, this was an issue because I had work to do and sometimes I was unable to find a chair or table to do my work, it made things a bit inconvenient. I will definitely come back and stay there again.

Loved

We loved our stay here! The service was exceptional. The pools and beaches were wonderful. We stayed in a ocean view room and the view was stunning! We also rented a car from the hotel for a day so we could drive around the island. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone! The food was good not great but good, but the value was great. There were very few people here as well so it was nice to feel like you had the place to yourself.

Spring Break

My 12 year old son and I traveled to El Cozumeleno for spring break in April 2018. The hotel is older and outdated but everything was functional and the staff was friendly and cheerful. We were a bit disappointed with the restaurant reservation process and were only able to eat in that restaurant one time. The food in that restaurant was pretty good. The buffet was kind of repetitive but we were always able to find something to eat. The guacamole there is superb! The beach is well maintained, a bit rocky, but the pier keeps the water right in front of the hotel debris free and excellent for snorkeling. I couldn’t get my son out of the water! We never had an issue getting a beach chair. The on site entertainment staff is great! They had a concert one night, traditional Mexican dancing and music another night and Bingo the last night of our trip. I’m sure there were other performances and activities that we missed because we were too tired after being on the beach all day. We booked 2 day trips, Fury Catamaran’s and a private island tour, both were excellent!! Well worth the money. We also took a cab into the “downtown” area to shop, $8 plus tip each way. Cozumel is really beautiful and we always felt safe there. Great trip for the money that we paid! It wasn’t luxurious, but we definitely got what we paid for!

Had a great time

The resort is very beautiful, great view from you porch which was awesome. The reason I give dining options two stars because it was not the best at all. The drinks was awful I recommend anyone to ask for shots or get the rum punch and ask for a extra shot in it. You would think if you're going to such a beautiful island you would be eating seafood Haha nope guess again. You have to go out and find your own seafood restaurant which I recommend the lobster house. Learn Spanish before you go because no one speaks good English. I also recommend you exchange your money to Pasos, take your own wash clothes they don't give you any, and the bed feels like your on the flint stones (HARD AS A BRICK). BUT OVER ALL IT'S A GOOD VACATION

Beautiful!!!

Hotel Description

Dive into El Cozumeleno Beach Resort, an Island Paradise

Ever wish you lived on a tropical island? You can at least visit one when you escape to an all-inclusive, diving paradise at El Cozumeleno Beach Resort. Located in the northern Hotel Zone of Isla Cozumel, just five minutes from downtown San Miguel, this family-friendly home away from home faces the clear blue waters of the Caribbean against sands so white it's tough to spot seashells.

If you're curious about Davy Jones' Locker, the diving and snorkeling opportunities near El Cozumeleno Beach Resort are second to none. Make plans for reef snorkeling, diving lessons and certification and dives to see the amazing Palancar Reef. If pirate ships are more to your liking, swab the deck of a rental sailboat, take a sunset cruise, or schedule a deep-sea fishing charter, all from one location right in front of the resort.

The landlubbers in your crew can lounge on the sands of the serene beach, hang out on the resort's pier or opt for the three-level, free-form activities pool that includes a jetted section and swim-up bar. Grab something to munch at the poolside snack bar, and then relax under the highest tier behind a waterfall or in the 10-person hot tub. If you need a more Zen-like experience, grab a spot by the "quiet" pool, while the munchkins indulge in the mushroom-shaped shower located in the children's wading pool.

On your way back to the hotel, drop your offspring off at the all inclusive kid's club before taking in 18 holes of golf at Cozumel Country Club right across the street. Designed by the Nicklaus Group, the course is not only environmentally friendly, but offers a challenge for everyone from beginners to experienced players. Gather everyone for an early evening meal at the open-air El Cocal then enjoy live entertainment available three nights a week produced by your friendly and courteous staff.

After a full day, you'll be ready for sweet dreams when you retire to an Ocean Front View room. You've earned it. You're on vacation.
