  Relaxing and beautiful!

  I enjoyed the property. The beach was clean, staff was friendly and food was good. Rooms were a little small but you don't spend much time in the rooms. Great resort for relaxation.

  Family Resort That Doesn't Care About Families

  This hotel does not seem to prioritize families' needs when it comes to room assignments. I didn’t expect adjoining rooms, but I did request that my children’s room be reasonably close to ours. Instead, the front desk initially placed me and my wife on the 9th floor and our kids on the 4th floor. After about 20 minutes of expressing my frustration—and only after I raised my voice—a manager was finally called. Suddenly, the front desk staff was able to find two rooms just four doors apart. The rooms themselves are nothing special. The main highlight of the property is the grounds, which are beautifully maintained. The pools are nice, and the beach is stunning. That’s the only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one. What concerns me most is the apparent disregard for child safety and family convenience. To make matters worse, the staff even attempted to upsell me on rooms closer together, which makes me suspect this may be a tactic to squeeze more money from families. That’s unacceptable in my opinion.

  Below Average

  Pros: (1) As soon as we entered we were greeted with a warm eucalyptus towel for our hands. (2)We were immediately attended and provided a tour of the premises after having lunch. (3) Food was amazing lots of options and no reservations ahead of time needed. ! (4) Free kayaking and paddle boarding. (5) Customer service rocked all employees went above and beyond. Cons:(1) Before the “tour” we had to sit thru a sales pitch for about 15 minutes which was annoying. (2) HALF of the beach is for preferred members only and the other half of the beach is full of rocks and very packed. I have never seen a resort make HALF of the beach for folks who pay more. (3) No standard evening entertainment that is expected at resorts. They had a Lilo and Stich movie night, 2 guys singing indoors another night (boring) and on Monday night they had a really good singer BUT in order to get close you had to buy bottles or pay for dinner. They only put 20 chairs for the general non- paying public. (4) No casinos, no clubs nothing to do at night but eat and walk around. (5) Premises are small not much to explore and it felt very divided if you did not pay extra for the preferred packages.

  Great resort. You don't need the Preferred club.

  Dreams Sands has the best food of any Dreams resort we have been to. The staff are beyond friendly and the entertainment was excellent. The pref club was not worth it for this resort as the expedited check in was non existent. The preferred club pool was over run with children and no one seemed to check if the guests were on the preferred list. And the preferred club beach area had an ass that played his Bluetooth speaker incredibly loud and the staff never asked him to turn it down or off. The non preferred pool was quieter. The pool and beach service was exceptional. The beach was amazing.

  My best vacation ever in Paradise (Cancun)!

  Service/Personnel: 11/10 All go out of their way to provide you the best experience possible. Attitude makes all the difference. Best regards to Raul Adzul Waiter and my new Friends for life. (Dios Botik= Thank you in Mayan Language) Beach: 10/10 walk for 150' at knee to waist deep. No waves. SPA: 10/10 Customer service is outstanding. Thank you Mr David Deavila SPA Manager for your attentive generosity towards my little one with Special Needs. Location 10/10: Near Punta cancun, coco bongo, Chedraui, Plaza Fiesta and Mercado Negro. Accommodations: 9/10 Overall, It may be small in square footage but it is all you need. Perfectly clean, A/C was as cold as you may need. Elevators may need improvement but service elevators are also available to guests. No problem. # of Restaurants: 8/10 Only because I've been to many others. Patio and Gaucho were my favorites. Try steaks at Gaucho (11/10 for taste, term and tenderness) Food quality: 8/10 For sophisticated palates. For me 10/10 because I enjoyed all local Mexican food with habanero and Macha Salsas + Sopa Conde. Cafe service from Jose Medina a true artist. See picture. Activities: 8/10 only because of space. Quiet party was awesome. Entertainment: 8/10 Pop Stars group was super energetic don't miss it. Parking: 6/10 if you rent a vehicle. Otherwise Valet is 1st class.
