Great beach and amazing staff.
The location was perfect as there were stores for shopping and pharmacies and other restaurants right across the street from the hotel. The beach is beautiful at the resort. Our first room was old and needed an upgrade our bed was really uncomfortable. Not all rooms have a patio. Which air travel agent states when we booked this resort. Most rooms only have a window that opens. We found that paying for premium class was not worth the extra money as there was no distinction between the two classes.

Amazing service, but time share agents are predatory and aggressive
Let me start with some good things about the hotel. The staff is amazing and friendly and want to help. I am a Hyatt Globalist and was upgraded to an amazing suite, highly suggest Suite 125, at the end and quieter than other suite rooms. Spa was top notch, expensive but the sauna area was nicer and newer than the pretty run-down hotel. Gustavo at the beach was so helpful and found us great seats. I did like that there was so much shade on the premier beach side. Note the water is perfect for younger kids as there are not really waves and the tide doesn't change. Water doesn't go above your waist. The timeshare VIP services people were beyond aggressive. A woman from that department walked us to the premium check in area and I had no idea that she was working for a timeshare company. She walked us to our suite and asked me if I was married. Then I knew she was not a concierge but was only there to sell me something. This predatory practice should not be happening the first minute you walk into the hotel and walk to your room to check in and then receive 4 notices on your door and an early wake you up phone call as well. I told them when I received the early morning call to please stop contacting me and I was not interested in timeshare or any other services they were selling. I just wanted to enjoy my trip to your hotel with my sons. But the aggressive sales approach continued, and the timeshare people should NOT be allowed in the premium lounge. Everywhere you went, they had people trapped with contacts and the guests were completely bewildered on why folks that had VIP Services on their shirts or badges, were not at all there to help you but to sell you. Would never return to this hotel because of the aggressive predatory practices. There was nowhere on the property to not see them, They were everywhere. Hyatt should be embarrassed that this type of harassment is in their hotel. You couldn't just hang out in the premier lounge, or the lobby or the bars or the sports bars without the timeshare folks being there. Added stress to our vacation and when asked to stop, did not. Will not be back despite the lovely service, gorgeous sand and water and fun nighttime entertainment.

Great for young families
After reading reviews I was very reluctant. Much to my surprise this resort was exactly what my little family needed. It’s a smaller property with an incredible beach. It’s not for people looking to party late night but the evening shows were great!! For older couples and young families it’s a great choice. The pool has been redone there is no missing tiles, the staff is the BEST Ive ever experienced. Russell at the bar was one of my kids favourite parts of their vacation.

Wonderful Experience!
We came to this resort with feedback by friends who visited. Overall, the rooms were run down but we were only there to sleep so don’t expect too much! The breakfast buffet is nothing great. The dinner restaurants are very yummy and I like that you don’t need reservation. The entertainment team have great attitudes, outgoing personalities and overall share such great humor! My daughter really connected with Michele! They’re always so upbeat and happy! Armando was our speedy delivery service guy for drinks! He is overall a great guy and always willing to help! All employee’s were kind and made sure we had everything we needed, and more! Their services is overall excellent!
