Advertises as family friendly, however families aren’t welcome at sea side restaurants. They will happily tell you to “move on” if you have kids. Yours relocated to a few interior restaurants…

Jan 23, 2026Beautiful Resort for Young Families
This was our first stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort in Puerto Morelos. Our 7 year old son enjoyed many of the Explorers Club activities, the outdoor movies with popcorn (evenings) and the Activities Pool (daytime). Our favorite restaurants in the evening were the Oceana (seafood) by the water, and the Hibachi grill at Himitsu. There are a variety of shows in the evening for entertainment; my favorite was the Magic Show. Some of my favorite daytime activities were Spanish Lessons, and a Tequila tasting with food pairing (Thank you Rizo our sommelier and Team). There is lots of wildlife at this resort and lush greenery.

Just left the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a stay here. Going through the pros, hotel is spotless, well set out with lovely well maintained gardens. Staff are extremely helpful and there is plenty of entertainment day and night. Special shout out to Oliver on the entertainment and Gilbert keeping our room spotless. Lobby area is very relaxed with good service from all the staff. Food can be a little repetitive in the buffet but there are 6 restaurants you can use whenever you want so not a problem. Cons, it can get a little noisy round the pool although it didn't bother us as there other areas to sunbathe and sit. There was nowhere to shower before leaving on our evening flight unless we paid 100 US for a late checkout or had a spa treatment. Shop is v expensive but all prices are marked so you know in advance.

Great stay
The resort was excellent. The staff was so friendly and attentive. It's on the smaller side but I enjoyed not having many people. Shout out to Pedro, Rizo, Yamielt and Alejandro. Alejandro was amazing and hooked us up with the best drinks poolside! The beach is not the best but im more of a pool girl so I didn't mind.

Truly a magical experience and worth paying for.
This was the first all inclusive hotel my husband and I have ever experienced. We had a baby before heading back to the states and wanted to experience something that could potentially lessen the stress of new-parenthood. The location felt very secluded and safe. The view from our floor was stunning as it panned the entire flat landscape of the area. The atmosphere was very welcoming and approachable. Not intimidating. The cleanliness was apparent as staff was always cleaning and picking up the empty cups left around. I could pass by empty cups and return two minutes later to see they were already picked up. The entire staff at the heel were truly super kind and approachable. It didn’t matter whether they were the cleaning staff or the pool staff. The World Caffe staff were especially awesome. The manager, Mauricio greeted us every day by name and always made sure we and other patrons had everything within a minute of asking. Empty plates were always taken away before we returned to our table with either another plate or a drink. It truly was a fully magical experience. We absolutely loved the entire week we spent there and definitely plan to go back. Thank you!
