We love this place so much that we came back after six months. When you step out of the car in the front of the resort, they greet you with the "Welcome Home!". We met the new conceirge, Roberto, who told us what's happending that week. In fact, every time we ran into Roberto around the proerpty he greeted us with our names. Now the playmakers staff...what can I say about a group of people so perfect for their jobs. Every day their energy is so upbeat and positive and exceed everyone's exceptions in having a great time at the pool with fun and games and a great sense of humor. Each person on the staff brings something wonderful...Javi, Bella, Pina, Maurico, Bam Bam, and Monica! When you relax at the pool you are immefiately greeted by either Edwardo or Africa who find out quickly how to make your time even better. If it's not just drinks,,. they are happy to get you lunch. As I have said in prevous reviews, we have enjoyed meeting Manu and being taken excellent care of at the fine dining estabiishment, Eros. He recommended a delciious tradiitonal Mexican breakfast that my husband and I enjoyed. Last is my dear friend, Raquel, that runs the jewelry shop in the lobby. Something you just don't want to miss. It was my husband's birthday, but somehow I scored another piece of beautiful custom jewelry. Raqeul is a gem herself.

Absolutely fantastic trip.
The staff was amazing! Bella with the playmakers did an outstanding job of keeping people engaged. We loved her energy and the effort she put in. It was clear she truly enjoys her occupation. Julio at the pool grill was incredible. Possibly one of the hardest working people we saw on the property. He never stopped moving and the food was fantastic. Arely at the spa was not only a fantastic masseuse but her approach at the pool when offering spa services was on point: not at all pushy but very tactful and educational on what all was offered. With her approach, there was no sales pitch needed. Gustavo was one of the best of bar tenders. Whether he was working the bar at the patio downstairs or upstairs at the club, he was super attentive, made great drinks, heck, he event remembered what we ordered as we approached the bar without even having to ask. Couldn’t ask for better service.

Another trip in Paradise
As regular visitors to Desire Riviera Maya we have become accustomed to the legendary great service that so many people talk about. But on our most recent trip in August we met a few new members of staff who really enhanced our stay. Jenifer was our room maid, this lady made such an effort each day not just cleaning up our mess but re arranging our counter top beauty products and leaving such nice displays on our made bed. Yirla, a new butler, my wife thought having a lady butler was a really progressive step as sometimes there are things that she would request but feel more comfortable asking another lady. She was also super attentive & already a natural in her role. Ricardo Lopez, this guy always made me laugh with our interactions each day at the bar. Monica, so good to see her back on the playmakers team. Her infectious positive energy was just like it was when she was last at Desire. A great return from her. Johnathan at the bar, always interesting to talk to and share conversations with. But all the staff are excellent at this well run resort. If you are sitting on the fence and wondering whether to book this resort, don’t waste anymore time at a regular resort. Book now and start looking forward to a trip that will change how you “do” vacations.

Bella and Mariana are the best! They make playing water volleyball so much fun and really know how to get everyone engaged and having a great time! Everyone loves EFFORT!
