Great family resort
Beautiful resort and outstanding customer service! Jerry, Mario and Marcia were exceptional and made the experience that much more pleasant. Spend the extra money for the premium so you can use the 8th floor!

Horrible stay at the Crown Paradise Cancun
I stayed at the Crown Paradise Cancun 3 times prior to this stayed. My last visit was over 10 years. I am so dissatisfied that don't know where to begin. I booked the JetBlue vacation package for my husband, my sister, my brother in law and my myself. I read the negative reviews and I was mortified but I wanted to give the hotel a chance. What a mistake. The hotel is falling apart. The rooms are dirty and in urgent need of an upgrade. In room 2726, where I am staying nothing works. The only good thing is the amazing view of the ocean. Only one elevator is working for building 2 so you can imagine the wait. Most of the time I have to walk to the lobby from the 7 floor. The stairs are dirty and in need of repairs and maintenance. Good luck if you need to call someone for assistance with an issue in your room. No one answers the phone and when they do and they tell you someone is coming to assist you, it is not going to be fast. The food in the buffet is disgusting and always the same. I have not been able to eat at the buffet since I found human hairs in my food. Yesterday I had piece of fish and I have been sick to my stomach since then. I was only able to make reservations to the French restaurant Thursday because it was my sister's birthday and I spoke to Hector, the person in-charge of the restaurant. Hector was amazing along with our server Jose. We had a fantastic time at the French restaurant. They made my sister's birthday celebration very special. Thank Hector and Jose. The lounge in the 8th floor is the only good thing this hotel has. The drinks, breakfast and appetizers are fantastic. Jerry, Leon and Maria are the best. They treated us like family. I can't thank them enough for making us feel like home. The only good thing this hotel has is the staff. In the buffet Jorge , Mariano and Analy are wonderful, very attentive and respectful. Kudos to them. Oscar took care of our luggage when we checked in and he has been very attentive and helpful every time we see him. DO NOT under any circumstance stay at this hotel until they make major renovations. All the rooms and common area need major repairs. There are some many hotels in Cancun within the same price range that there is no need to stay at this hotel. I hope the the new management is paying attention and invest in the renovations. If they don't, no one is will be coming to this hotel. I spoke to a group of people checking out yesterday, none of them will be returning to the crown paradise. It is sad seeing how this hotel went from a beautiful place to a one star motel. You have wonderful, hard working staff but you are lacking in many other areas. You need major renovations and repairs. The hotel needs to close and reopen after all the repairs are done. Management from the different departments needs to be visible to the hotel guests. I hope the new management is paying attention and listening to the guests concerns. I am leaving tomorrow and this is the first time in all the years I have been coming to Cancun that I am leaving disappointed and sad.

Hidden Fees Everywhere.
The hotel staff at the front desk are rude and can use some serious guidance on how to treat customers. When I booked for my 5 children, my husband and myself- we did so over the phone because we are such a large family and that’s easiest for us. Upon check in, staff accused us of lying about my youngest daughter’s age (4). We explained we gave the person who made the reservations the birthdate and age and so if it was wrong, they had to blame their own staff. They tried to charge us a fee for her - but after this explanation of how we booked - they backed off. The hotel also shows family suites but the room they saved for us happened to be 2 seperate rooms which we were not aware of. They had the door of course to allow us to enter both rooms, but of course, there was a hidden fee for that as well. The check-in staff had us pay additional room fees and when we checked out - we were charged that same fee for the “second room” we didn’t know existed. The food at the resort was mediocre to say the least. The restaurants were not great but I guess that’s to be expected of an all inclusive resort. The beach has flags to let you know how the water is for the day and there were a couple of days of yellow flags but the water was still rough. The staff near the pools, and in the buffets were mostly okay. Some we really liked. Others, we did not. Oh! And lastly, they give the adults the room key on a bracelet which worked out nicely … as long as you don’t lose it because that’s another fee. They also give the children in your party these paper bracelets which break apart when they get wet and if you lose the paper bracelets, it costs $50 USD to get it replaced. Pay attention to the whimsy bracelets because if it falls off, but you still have the actual bracelet, you can replace it for free. All in all, if you choose to stay here - be careful of the hidden fees.

Family-friendly resort with a variety of food and drink options, clean facilities, and great service.
The 8th-floor lounge offers very good food, with options changing almost daily. It also features premium drinks, a quiet atmosphere, and an amazing view. Leon from the night shift is a very talented server/bartender makes the best cocktails in the resort.
