Poor Service with a Smile
The property is beautiful. The rooms are clean and beautiful! However, service is bad. While still at home called reservations at the Crane 3 times over 2 days to extend our stay. Kept getting voice mail. No one returned our call. Finally, I called corporate and they got someone for me. Tried to make dinner reservations on property with theCrane App. Never got it to work. Talked to front desk about it twice and basically was told that happens. Wait 30-40 for a drink at pool or restaurant. Restaurant service soooo slow. At pool everytime we ordered lunch we did not get side we ordered but were at that point just glad to get food, as we had waited si long. The pools had broken lights dangling by cords from wall to pool floor. Dangerous. Asked for plates to share app they would bring one plate.

Made to Feel Like Family
It had been decades since I'd been to Barbados. Back in the 90's I was on a cruise that stopped in Barbados for the day. I was a travel agent back then and had to check out The Crane, a little known small boutique property at the time. It was the drama of the stone buildings perched high above the Atlantic, the stunning beach below, and the sexy pool which is now known as the adult pool when I knew then that I had to return some day. Fast forward 20+ years and I finally made it back. My sister owns a timeshare and when The Crane came up as an exchange option on RCI, we jumped on it. As we weren't sure what to expect my sister, Mary, called the property/front desk and spoke to a lovely lady named Cheryl. Cheryl was so warm, friendly, and answered our many questions. We knew immediately that we had made a new friend. We called a couple of other times and spoke with Cheryl each time. She never tired of our many questions and offered awesome recommendations. When we finally arrived, Cheryl was there to greet us. We exchanged hugs and little gifts. She even made us delicious coconut bread along with a welcome refreshment. That set the stage for a lovely week at The Crane. Thank you Cheryl and all the wonderful staff. You all made us feel like family. Z Sisters

The Crane Resort
The Crane was an awesome place to stay. The staff were friendly and very prompt with service! The staff served pool side which is fabulous! The accommodations were great! The rooms are large and mostly updated! There are 4 different pools to choose from and we’re mostly great! They could have been a bit cleaner but as we were here it was very windy so that is probably why they were a bit dirty. The only downfall is that the Crane is far from the main area of Barbados. At least a 30min commute. We did not rent a car and cabs were about 45$ one way. Most restaurants were good! We did not get to experience the Italian restaurant as it was closed the entirety of our trip. The beach at The Crane was nice but just not usable for us. The water was very very rough and there was loads of seaweed. They were not offering a shuttle to Carlisle Bay until Thursday of our trip.

Crane a wonderful place to be.
Crane Beach is an excellent location, with warm and effective service. The lovely staff over the years have always welcomed us back. Special mention of Cheryl Weeks at the front desk, Karen Oliver in reservations, Peter Felix, Lisa, Gloria and Yvette in Azure and Carriage House, all at the bell desk who could not be more helpful and many more. The rooms and apartments are excellent and kept extremely clean. If things go wrong, the maintenance staff quickly make it right. We have made The Crane our home away from home for more than 30 years, and will keep returning until we can't.
