Very relaxing trip

This was a great place to unwind and relax. Negril is probably the most beautiful place I've ever visited. The resort was wonderful. The staff was friendly, beach was clean and plenty of chairs available, and the food was great! This was our first time to go, but we will definitely be booking again next year!

Best honeymoon

We were treated so nice and everyone was helpful. The water sports were amazing and the swim up bar is the best. The beach was awesome. Everything about the resort was amazing from. The shuttle from the airport to the resort was the best. I would recommend this to newlyweds and any love birds. One love

5 nights in paradise!

We had never been to Jamaica or gone all inclusive before, and we planned this trip 3 days before departure when our planned vacation was cancelled. We only stayed 5 nights. The resort grounds are beautiful and the beach is spectacular. The surf was gentle while we were there. The staff was gracious and helpful. The food was very good. We made reservations and ate at both Feathers and Lemon Grass. Both were excellent with great service. All of the food was beautifully presented. We spent most of our time on the beach. It was not crowded. I enjoyed just floating in the gentle surf. Breakfast at the Palms buffet/omelet station was good. We drank mimosas daily from the self serve station which also offered Bloody Mary's. The buffet there was offered all three meals. This side of the resort had the water sports huts and dinner enterainment. I took advantage of the morning yoga on the beach both days it was offered. A visiting instructor taught an excellent class. Next time I would take a sheet as the towels were too small and I got covered in sand. For lunch we often walked to the other side of the resort, where the swim up pool bar was always hopping. The pizza of the day was our usual choice although we tried the jerk chicken and burgers. We usually took our pizza and drinks back to our lovely spot on the beach. We preferred the middle of the resort which was closer to our unit and had beach service. The sunsets were beautiful from the beach! Some units had the view but we were back from the beach surrounded by tropical vegetation. We are animal lovers and appreciated the cats, birds and the one "stray" dog who we saw most days. They added to the atmosphere of the resort for us and seemed well fed. We went snorkeling and on the catamaran cruise. Both were fun and scenic. We saw a cannon and anchor among the fan coral and colorful fish on the brief snorkel trip. We saw the lighthouse, caves and the very popular Rick's cliff bar from the catamaran. We swam and slid down the slide into the water. There were many other activities and staff sometimes encouraged those around to participate. Resort employees were happy to chat and were ready to help in any way. Security kept beach peddlers from coming right up to you but they walked by trying to entice tourists. They seemed fairly harmless. The laid back, friendly and welcoming Jamaican way was relaxing. Although we did not venture off the resort or take advantage of the fitness facilities, golf, diving etc., there are many activities at Couples Swept Away, Negril. We met many repeat visitors. This resort is being renovated at present so this means you may hear construction. Though beautiful, it is dated and needs an upgrade. Like many resorts they fog for mosquitos each evening so close doors and windows and stay in or head elsewhere briefly while this occurs. We were never bothered by bugs. If you are in need of being waited on promptly, you may need to adjust your perspective. We were content and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and relaxed anytime we were waiting.

5 nights in paradise! 5 nights in paradise!

Great resort, even better beach

My husband and I stayed at Swept away mid-July and hated to leave. The highlights were: the beach (beautiful clear water and a clean beach), Lemon Grass (DELICIOUS), and the entertainment staff. There were not a lot of people when we traveled so there were no lines at the bar or restaurants. Some cons: there was a lot of construction while we were there that got pretty loud during the day. We stayed in the great house verandah suite and heard none of the construction. I was VERY glad we didn't update and get stuck next to that noise. The rooms are just okay, pretty simple but nothing extravagant. The other con is that there really isn't much to do at night. It might be because we were there during 'off season', but all that is offered is the blazing piano and a 'club' that was desolate. I didn't mind but thought I'd share for folks interested in the night life. Must Do's: Catamaran ride and night snorkeling are a must! They are so fun! I also heard the steel drum band that plays on Wednesday was great but missed it :( All in all the staff was fantastic and very friendly and fun! There were a couple of grumps but who knows, they might have just had an off day!
