Nice old school vibe

Not fancy, but does the job. Great location and decent breakfast in a non-pretentious, British Carribbean environment. Evening dining options (both at the resort and nearby) are fairly limited though. A proper hot tub would be a welcome addition.

Better options

The resort is nice, rooms were ok, loved the refrigerator in the room. Location is ok. Ocean water pretty rough when I was there, not very pretty. Plenty of beach chairs however they stack them so high I had a difficult time getting one down! Housekeepers very good and friendly! Bartenders not very friendly unless you’re planning on sitting at the bar and drinking and tipping a lot! Drinks were kind of weak, we brought several bottles of wine with us and they frowned upon our sitting at the tables with our wine, we did order food. The boardwalk is ok however there were a lot of abandoned buildings along it! Not a lot to do close to the resort had to take a bus everywhere you wanted to go! All in all it was ok, I don’t think it was worth the money, plenty of other beautiful countries with much prettier oceans/beaches!

Perfect place for a long relaxing weekend

Coconut Court had everything we were looking for in a long-weekend vacation to escape from the city. The hotel is comfortable, with very helpful and nice staff, with great access to places of interest. The race tracks (horses) are a few minutes walk from the hotel, and it was a great experience spending half a day watching some great races. The beach is relaxing, with some bigger waves at times, but you can definitely swim and snorkel. The trees offer perfect protection from the sun. Carlyle Bay, ideal for snorkeling and taking boats out, is in walking distance, or short ride on the bus. The buffet breakfast has plenty of options. We had dinner at the hotel only once, but the grilled fish was delicious (and a lot). The new restaurant across the street is also very good. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Right on the Beach and amazing breakfast

My friend and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights in a partial ocean view room. The room was nice but we did expect it to be more updated and modern. We were also on the third floor and there weren’t any elevators. The breakfast Buffet was amazing with fresh squeezed juices, omelet station, waffle maker and other great items. We ate at Jack’s for dinner which was expensive and the food mediocre. The hotel is literally on the beach which was great and convenient. It is also located on a main street which makes it easy to catch taxis and public transportation but the downside is that late at night you can hear the taxis honking trying to pick people up. Staff was super friendly and helpful and we participated in the manager’s rum punch party where you are served unlimited rum punch which was awesome. The shuttle was also convenient and on time with picking us up from the airport. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barbados!!!

What's to Love

Coconut Court Beach Hotel sits on a great section of the beach with loungers and shade from the coconut trees. There's even a reef that offers amazing snorkeling in shallow water, so the kids can snorkel too.

What We'd Change

There are a few stones mixed with the sand in sections of the beach. It's worth taking flip flops and perhaps a pair of water shoes.

Why You Should Go

If value, comfort and beachfront accommodations are important, this resort is perfect for you. Best of all, it's a very eco-friendly place as well.
