  Great resort, but disappointing treatment for a loyal guest

  I’ve stayed at Breathless five times now, and while I’ve always enjoyed the property, this recent experience left me genuinely disappointed. As a returning guest, I requested an upgrade — something that has never been an issue in the past. This time, I was told no without any effort to acknowledge my loyalty or offer an alternative solution. After visiting this many times, I expected at least some level of recognition or flexibility. The resort itself is still beautiful, the energy is great, and the staff on the ground are friendly. But the lack of appreciation for repeat guests really took away from what should have been another great stay. Breathless has always been one of my favorites, but this experience made me rethink whether loyalty truly matters here.

  My 5th Visit to Breathless Riviera Cancun Spa and Resort

  This was my 5th annual visit to Breathless Riviera Cancun Spa and Resort. As always, I had a great time. I had a few special requests before arriving, and when I was checked in, I went to the Concierge Desk to check on my requests. I spoke with Felix. Felix worked on each of my requests to make sure I would be happy. One of the requests was for a Birthday Surprise arrangement in my Friend's room. It cost extra (I won't say how much, but I was expecting that beforehand). The staff decorated the floor and beds with Rose Petals all over, and some Birthday Goodies, as well as a bottle of Moet Champagne. It was well worth the extra expense. The weather was PERFECT all week long (during my stay). Several of the Staff remembered me from past year's visits. EVERYONE was Super Friendly. Lorena (UVC Rep) arranged a Shopping outing for me and my friends. We went to the other Cancun Hotel Zone (near the airport), and did some shopping at The International Jewelry Exchange. One of the items I bought there was on my list from a past year's visit there... It was for a bottle of Don Viego Extra Anejo Tequila (you CAN'T get this in the US), which is sold EXCLUSIVELY at this store (only 1000 bottles a year are produced for this store). After we were done with our shopping, we were brought back to the Resort, and we had a special Dinner at Silk (their Asian Restaurant). For the very first time in my 5 years going here, my friends and I were seated at the Hibachi Gril (where the cook puts on a little show at the Grill (while preparing our meal). It was a lot of fun. The food was EXCELLENT too. My friends and I went to all 5 of the Resort Specialty Restaurants during the week. I am tossed between which was my favorite (The Strip (Steakhouse) and Silk). As for other dining, my friends and I went to The Spoon (Buffet Restaurant) every morning, where Lusiene (our Waiter) get us happy with Mimosas and Champagne (Sparkling Champagne-like Wine). Lusiene greeted us every morning when we arrived at The Spoon. For my afternoons, I alternated between the two main pools for Hamburgers (at the Barefoot Grill), and Pizza (at the Beach Bar). I also went to The Nook (their 24 hour Cafe) multiple times during the day and in the middle of the night. I want to give a shout-out to Gabrielle (on of the staff there during the Mid-Day hours. She also remembered me from past years visits. I really did not use the Pool or Beach during the week, nor did I participate in the daily activities. One Evening Show that I attended was a Fashion Show my the Wink Bar area on the night after Halloween. I never attended a Fashion Show before, so this was quite impressive for me. The other Evening Activity which I participated in was Casino Night (no real money... just for fun). They had 1 Craps Table, 1 Roulette Table, and 4 Black Jack Tables set up. It was a nice relaxing time-killer (no pressure of losing any money, since it was all for fun). One other thing that I did, was get a full body massage, and enjoy the Spa's Hydro-Therapy (Sauna, Steam Room, and Whirlpool). Lorena (UVC Rep) and mad the arrangements for me and my friends. As always, the Massage was PHENOMINAL!!!. I was totally wiped out after the Massage, and didn't want to get up out of the chair I was in (while waiting for my friends to exit the Locker Room). I am looking forward to my next visit back (next year).

  Amazing resorts

  Excellent stay with attentive staff, special thanks to Karin the housekeeper and Victor the pool manager who were always at your service, not to mention the fantastic atmosphere every day. I highly recommend it.

  Outstanding Service from Roger and Edwin at Breathless Resort!

  Our stay at Breathless Resort was incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to **Roger and Edwin**. They both went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, they were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Roger made sure every detail of our stay was perfect, and Edwin’s positive energy and great service made each day even better. Together, they truly made us feel like VIP guests. Thanks to Roger and Edwin, our vacation was not just relaxing, but truly special. We can’t wait to come back and see them again!

  Great hotel, terrible services across the board.

  Most bar staff were incredibly rude and were caught multiple times using dirty glasses to make other drinks for different people. They must think the later in the night it is, no one would notice. I have been a UVC member for 15 years and will NEVER go back to this resort or ever recommend it to anyone. I can on and on about the bad experience we got especially being club members and noone even cared about the complaints. Resort was very clean and beautiful and entertain was great. I wish i could it’s only a few bad apples but I would 70% of the customer service was terrible.
