Vibes were amazing, staff was amazing, room service menu and quality was lacking especially overnight. Left the DR with a stomach virus which started after day 2 there.

Resort is clean and the people are wonderful. I would upgrade to Xhale because it gives you access to quieter pools, top shelf drinks, and more. Jesus is amazing and will do what he can to make sure you have a great stay.

Just back from our 4th visit! The property continues to get better as the upgrades and face-lift progress. We love the Xhale Club and private pool and lounge. It is quiet, secluded and if you want the party vibe it is just on the other side of the building. Our butler Willy is amazing and makes whatever you need happen. Zulenney, Vianney, Dania and Francely in the lounge treat us like family. Sea grass was not excessive and they do an amazing job of keeping the beach clean. The beach is fantastic and there is a large area where it is sandy into deeper water.

Very Pretty Resort with Friendly staff - Rating 3.8 stars
This is a great resort. We did do Xhale Club. Some say it's worth it, some say it's not. If you prefer a quiet area close to the beach (in the resort) with premium alcohol and concierge service, it's the way to go. If you go to one of the two other pools you do not have access to premium liquor or even premium beers. the Xhale pool is very low key but you have non stop waiter service. the music was slow in my opinion. you are separated from the rest. I prefer more lively experience. the last day we were there we visited the two other pools. One has a swim up bar, the service was okay and I found the activities and music to be fun, but then we went to the other pool and I'm not sure what it's called but it's a much younger crowd and not so much for us. So, really with xhale you have 3 options - low key, middle of the road, or party animal. :) without xhale it's middle of the road or party all the way. The rooms are basic but nice and clean. The sliding glass doors for us and our friens are very difficult to open from the outside and I'm not sure why they are built that way. Seems trivial but a huge pain in the butt if you go in and out frequently and I don't like to be in my room much. The food was pretty good. With Xhale the breakfast buffet was always great. We never went to the other restaurants or buffet for breakfast. We ate at the hibachi (Silk city). It was okay. we felt very rushed and the chicken and beef were overcooked. Room service was great. The cheeseburgers were really good! The chicken wings were really good. Great options as well. If you do have a butler/concierge, use them. then it's worth it. We drink coors light which was not in our room so we asked for it and initially it seemed like it wasn't going to happen but then they started bringing it every day. We reserved a cabana with friends on the beach for $150. worth it other than the people selling stuff on the beach. that is annoying. But I suppose it's what you expect. We did order fish and chips on the beach and both my husband and I had an issue with that. so be careful with the fish??? Check in and check out a breeze. Friendly staff everywhere. the noise level may be a factor depending on where your located. the music can get really loud outside of the xhale area. The hallways are noisy but they have a door in your room that shuts so you don't hear it so much. Big bonus if you aren't up late or like to sleep in. Their bread and doughnuts are really good for being in the carribean. IYKYK. Usually they are stale or dried out. Not the case here. The Nook is great for coffee and doughnuts or croissants. Would I go back? maybe but likely not to this resort. The verdict is still out. Our butler, Glenny was amazing but there was a "feel" of this resort that we couldn't put our finger on. I think we'd just try another adults only resort. But it was still a great vacation. If you want upscale, this isn't it. if you want a great location to visit with a friendly staff and some fun at a reasonable price, this is the resort for you.
