What We Love
- Fancy duds throughout the resort that create that stylish level of lavishness you want.
- A private beach where the views are endless and the beach bartender already knows your name and your favorite cocktail.
- You can keep your beach bod looking svelte with a session or two with one of the on-site trainers at the fitness center.
- Traveling with the fam? Perfect, because Kids & Co. will take care of the young tykes - they want to have a little fun time, too.
- Vegging out at the spa with a beachside massage - leaving the beach would require too much effort - remember it's your vacay!
Things to Know
- The resort is away from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay - you're drive is about 45 minutes from the airport and oh, so worth it once you arrive.
- The Adventure Park has all kinds of fun activities - zip lining, rock climbing & trampolines.
- You're close to some of Jamaica's favorite spots to see - Green Grotto Caves, Luminous Lagoon, Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove & you'll find an excursion desk on-site to help you plan all your adventures.
- On those nights when you'd rather enjoy dinner on your balcony (and in your jammies) then 24-hour room service will be your thang.

Xmas at Memories Jibacoa
We returned to Memories Jibacoa for xmas 2025. I have travelled extensively to Cuban resorts and can say without a doubt that Memories Jibacoa has the best Xmas Eve buffet in all of Cuba. I have included pictures to prove it. The food for the rest of the week was also yummy and plentiful. We had a very clean beautiful ocean view room with lots of hot water. I especially loved the new swing basket chairs in the lobby. We had a few red flag days at the beach but on yellow flag days we were very happy to see that the reef is rebounding. Thousands of fish close to shore and even some pink coral. The only down side is when you want to walk the beach to the other resort one of the male locals, sitting in-between the two resorts was a bit aggressive . If you stay on the memories resort then you are not hassled.

Another excellent stay
Memories Jibacoa is a gem. This hotel not only is beautiful being nestled in between lush mountains and a gorgeous coral reef, but its staff are what make it exceptional. I have been staying here for several years now and the Management and staff go above and beyond to support my mission there. They ensure that I have the space I need and the staff are always ready and willing to help. They are excellent with my groups I bring down and even help me with late night snacks for those arrivals in the middle of the night. The hotel offers so many options from your room to playing tennis and pickle ball. There is even a sports bar to watch your favourite teams. The grounds are so pretty and well kept. They are also sprayed for mosquitos on a regular basis. The food is amazing. With a wide variety of meats, salads, and Cuban flair, there is no way of being disappointed. They have 3 A La Carts which are all a must try. The buffet has a variety of foods including a Pizza Bar. Delicious! Desserts are plentiful and the ice cream wonderful. Worried about gluten? The staff will do their best to support you, just ask! Needing a little more relaxation? Enjoy a massage or even get a manicure and pedicure at the Spa. These services are extra but worth every bit. I cannot thank the staff of Memories Jibacoa enough. I am so proud to call you all my friends and to be made to feel like family here. It’s no surprise that you win awards each year for your excellency. On behalf of myself, and my mission, Together For Cuba, thank you! See you again in a couple of weeks.

Great value, but surprised by some of the other reviews
First let me say this resort is great. The food was great (not just Cuba great), and the beach with phenomenal snorkelling for the price was 5 stars, no question. We upgraded to the premium class so we could have every meal at an a la carte, but found the buffet was superior for breakfast (the omelette station was superior to the restaurant) and sitting by the beach at lunch could not be beat. Our room was good, the ac worked well, clean, no smell. Our experience with the staff was unlike all the other reviews though. The wait staff in the restaurants would take our orders, bring our food, and that was it. They did it quickly (and the food was good) which we appreciated, but it wasn't the warm experience I've had elsewhere in Cuba. We got asked how our food was maybe once the entire week? Similar with the bar staff and at the beach restaurant. FWIW I was tipping nearly every meal. We then had a bit of a rug pull where a staff member said it was $70 for a cab to Havana for the day, and then when we went to book it a day later raised the price. And then a few days later to cover their butt came to say they could give us a lower price when they knew it was too late as we were leaving the next day. Thirdly we were trying all week to get dance lessons to happen, we were asking people about it, saying we were interested, hanging out by the pool and pool bar when it was supposed to run, but it wasn't until the 5th day of our trip (a Friday) that someone showed up by the pool to round up people for a lesson (Marcos was a great instructor). At the end of the lesson, both us and another couple said emphatically we would we be back tomorrow, but alas, no one showed up to run it yet again. The crowd is a bit on the older side, so maybe some activities don't get much attendance, but there's really no excuse for the no show on the Saturday after we had emphatically said we would be back. Another similar experience on the next to last evening when asking about food options for before our shuttle in the morning. The front desk staff member was borderline curt. On it's own no big deal, but it lined up with our experience the rest of the week. I would happily recommend this resort to anyone, especially if you like to snorkel (we saw eels, lobsters, jellyfish, sting rays, many fish). I only write so much about the negatives because so many of the other reviews (which we had read before and after the trip) highlight the warmth and friendliness of the staff, and that was probably the weakest link on an otherwise great trip.

Second home.
We had a great time. It was our 15th time at the resort. It’s like a second home. Food was great. And staff are excellent. We will be back in 2026

A relaxing haven.
This was a different visit for me. I was part of a Women’s Relief Group through Together for Cuba delivering medical supplies to hospitals, villages etc. I was away from the hotel most days but to return each day to such a beautiful, peaceful place made the end of every day a totally relaxing experience. In the week before the group arrived, the hotel went out of its way to facilitate the sorting and packing of the supplies that were to be delivered to the community. Sharing my favourite hotel, with new guests who were part of this trip, gave me a great deal of pleasure. The staff went above and beyond to help in every aspect, and the appreciation by them, of the work that was being done by this group of women was evident. The food is always excellent with so many choices, the a la cartes superb thanks to Chef Antonio and his team. The air conditioning in the rooms was a welcome relief at the end of the day and the beds are so comfortable. Thank you to everyone at the hotel, staff and guests, for making this trip, one of many, based out of Memories, so successful. I will return very soon.
