Great Family Trip to Bougainvillea Barbados!

As a couple and then as a family of 5(kids 13, 11 and 4) we've traveled to most of the well known Caribbean locations(Costa Rica, Cabo, Puerta Vallarta, Cozumel, Cancun, Dominican Republic, Panama, Curacao, etc). We always go all inclusive for the flexibility of food and drinks. Upon arrival via the quick but curvy commute from the airport to the hotel we were surprised to hear that we didn't have immediate meal options upon arrival after a long day of travel. From this point on the trip flipped positive. We learned that this resort offers both all-inclusive and non all-inclusive packages which was interesting. We were the only all-inclusive guests for much of the trip. Based on this mix there is a shutdown between meals at the main restaurant unlike resorts where all guests are all inclusive and there is always food and drink available. Given our arrival time it was only inconvenient for the arrival day. Each day after we were able to align with the schedule very easily. The food and drink quality is by far better than any vacation we've been on. Top shelf mixed drinks and food at every meal. There is a longer wait for both but well worth the wait. Dinners averaged 2 hours in length and that wasn't due to us sitting around wasting time. Sometimes this lead to our 4 year old falling asleep at dinner but we attributed that to a long fun day. There wasn't as much entertainment in the evenings as we've seen at other resorts but enough for our family. The resort is small but becomes very comfortable after a couple of days. Our girls made new friends almost daily from multiple different countries. The beach is really good with even calmer beautiful water if you walk the beach Northwest where rock formations/barriers keeps the waves down. I'd estimate a half mile length before rocks and surf limit going further. We didn't see lots of fish right of the resort if you're into snorkeling but beautiful water and beach. To summarize, this is a beautiful quaint resort with great people, beach and pool and really great food and location. We're big food and drink people so it shined for us. Compared to the other places we've traveled on vacation we would say this is certainly in the top 3 places but more accurately likely in the top 1 or 2. We'll certainly be back.

Best vacation!

This was one of the best decisions we made when choosing a place to vacation. The staff was beyond amazing throughout the entire trip and treated us like family. The restaurants were AMAZING (especially Siam!) and had plenty to choose from on the menus. The rooms were large and very clean. The resort itself was not overly crowded and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Roxanne took great care of us at the bar and will be missed greatly. We look forward to visiting her again soon. 10/10 would recommend this resort!

Best bargain in Barbados

A wonderful Caribbean resort at a very reasonable price. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of items , lunch and dinner was ordered off a menu. Again, a nice selection although the service was often slow.

Service & Food Are Poor

The hotel, beach, and pool area is amazing. Food and service is very poor. They only have one restaurant and pretty much 85% of the food is sweet. We where here for a whole week and we had all inclusive but we spend money on water and went out in the town to different restaurants. Service was great the first day but after the first day we didn’t have enough towels in the room and I asked for milk for the baby and they said I had to go buy it at the restaurant down the street. I guess it wasnt all inclusive. Overall not worth the money spent.
