    A great stay.

Overall, the Barcelo met our expectations. The Premium Level amenities are a bonus. The food and entertainment in the Bosque Bar were great. It's a little far from the airport but the location itself was fine. I would definitely stay again.

Nice park hotel, outrageous customer service. No more booking here.

The customer service. I booked an airport pick up for 5 and the hotel simply didn't send it. I called from a foreign number (of course) and instead of helping they asked me every sort of verification details, made me wait endlessly while "verifying" and at te end te wait was so long that the call costed ne more than the taxi from the airport to the hotel (which i had to pay THE SAME because even with my call the hotel DIDN'T SEND pick up). Weten I arrived to the hotel I was furious, had to repeat AGAIN the verification process, was blamed for booking with booking.com (WHICH I DIDNT DO, I booked with BARCELO.COM) and after proving my booking, was AGAIN blamed by the "client service specialist(!)" guy because even if I reserved the extra, the hotel"should have confirmed when i included the flight number and I didn't have this confirmation ". HOW IN EARTH was that my fault.? THE HOTEL had to send it!!! I had anther master room booked on the 1st of March but I canceled it. I'm avoiding reaching the hotel due to this OUTRAGEOUS client treatment. I used to be a regular client and subscribed to barcelo to keep being it. YOU GUYS CHASED US AWAY.

Should have paid attention to the negative reviews

I love to leave positive reviews because I rely on them. Unfortunately I did not heed the negative reviews for this hotel. From being woke up our first day at 8 am by hammering in the room next door (see picture) and when I went to the front desk to ask for it to stop, I was told they had to because guest were coming, which ended up not being true as each room can easily see into the other's from the balcony. The noise from the hwy was so loud we always had to keep our patio door shut. I made the mistake of booking 6 nights thinking it was a service oriented hotel. What is really is, is an old hotel that receives large tour groups as their one night stop coming to and from San Jose creating a soulless vibe. Although the pool was nice, pool service did not exist and after ordering nachos I waited and was given a Styrofoam container with chips with liquid cheese and stringy meat. The buffet breakfast was good and I had paid to have it included in our stay otherwise the food is way overpriced. Our room was only cleaned once and I had to ask for clean towels twice. I was told that I had to wait until the morning to ask for an extra hour to check out and when I went to the front desk the next morning to politely ask, without a beat, she said, no. That's when I realized I was not a valued guest and would have to share my negative experience in hopes of helping someone not make the same mistake by booking their vacation here. lm sure they will say they are sorry, but I assure you, they are not. I travel quite a bit and this was a very disappointing experience. I reccomended you look elsewhere.
