Wont be going back!!!!
The property itself was very large containing 3-4 individual resorts with access to all with the exception of the adults only. Overall Maya Palace was very nice very clean. However , other than the physical appearance we were highly disappointed , and wont go back. Staff other than the bartenders, and some restaurant personnel, saying hello was an effort to nothing at all. Been to other resorts where we were beat to the punch with a simple hello or "ola" We upgraded our stay to the premier package which offered a free bottle of champagne and fruit to our room on arrival. After three and attempts, asking , and one failed promise it took four days to receive this offer. Pool side at Maya Palace, there was little to none pool activities to participate in. There was no food service ( barbeques, food delivery pool side or at the beach) like some other properties do. WE basically had to walk down to another resort on property to get pool side bartending service, ( and that itself was minimal. Restaurants at maya palace, other than the steak house ( which was fantastic!) was ok to not impressed. No options to try an additional options off the menu ( other than what you ordered) like some other resorts offer. We even tried to order a " to go" item or box for left overs to take back to the room for a guest in a party who was ill one evening. answer was NO. Room service was minimal , and once delivered , chicken sandwich was half cooked. Seaweed, may have been the season, but seaweed control was very poor along beach. sand on beach was not powder white sand but packed white sand( no biggie there, but not what they describe) water beach side was very rocky so bring water shoes. The majority of the activities that took place were at the other resorts. So if you like to walk , you'll enjoy the walk beach side , or they do offer free double decker bus transportation between resorts. No atm service, in american dollars, or pesos! at any of the resorts, ! so bring plenty of cash. Shows at night were nothing to write home about or share memories with friends of family. If this sounds to "picky" its's only because we've been to other resorts in Mexico where we've been blown away by everything! Mexico is a beautiful place, so if your expecting to be blown away on vacation, this is definitely not the resort to choose. Its a great cheap get wawy resort, but definitely not a 5-star!!!

Can't wait to return!
This resort is beautiful! It has so much to offer, the staff here is amazing, the choices of restaurants and things to do are incredible. It's a small city of its own. They even have buses that run consistently throughout the facility to go from one resort to the next. Casino, theater, everything! I look forward to my return.

A great trip with entire family
The prettiest resort on the Riviera Maya that is incredibly well maintained. Wonderful employees make the whole trip perfect.
