Perfect Beach, Great Food… Missing the Honeymoon Tou
I stayed at Barceló Maya Grand Resort and overall I would rate the stay 4+. It’s a very large and spacious resort connected to other hotels, which allows guests to move freely around the entire complex. The biggest highlight is the beach – very large, wide, and beautiful, perfect for snorkeling and relaxing. The food is diverse and everyone will find something they like. The Japanese restaurant was the best, the steakhouse and Mexican cuisine were very good, while the Italian restaurant was average. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The main downside was the reception – check-in and check-out were poorly organized and not very welcoming. We were on our honeymoon and informed the hotel in advance, but we did not receive any special recognition. We were given strawberries and champagne, which, as it turned out, were provided to every guest as a welcome gift, which was disappointing for us.

Barcelo Maya colonial
We stayed for 7 days. It was a beautiful place! We met our friends there and had a great time. Rooms are spacious & clean. Close to the beach. The pools are fun with a mix of quiet time and party time. Will likely return!
