We once again had a wonderful stay at the Colonial. The hotel and the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the buffets are varied and very good. This year, our daughter discovered the Barcy Club, which she absolutely loved and is already looking forward to coming back! We had a small issue with our room upon arrival, which can happen when the hotel is fully booked, but the management immediately found a solution for us. We would especially like to thank Mr. Manuel Santamaria and Mr. Raymond Enriquez for their kindness and helpfulness.

DO NOT trust round trip airport transportation through Barcelo. They left us stranded at the airport to find our own way to the resort ($250 USD). this was after 2 phone calls to them about flight delays. All food looks like, is presented like ans tastes like cruise food. Pools and beaches were beautiful.

Overall the resort was more than we expected and we enjoyed the food, service, shows and beach/pool. Would recommend.

Horrible customer service
We came new years eve night and at first it seemed alright but quickly went down hill we come down here once a year and decided to try your hotel for a change big mistake the room was OK but it is very hard to find your room in the dark there are virtually no hand rails on the stairs as a 73 year old women this was important to me we went to dinner and the food was sub pare at best then my daughter had to much to drink which was her fault but we could not find our way back to our room and she kept falling so I asked for help from the front desk just to get us pointed in the right direction I even offered to pay them I was told a bell hop would be there in 15 minutes 40 minutes went by by then the show was over and we were the only ones in the lobby two people were behind the desk one of them could have walk us to the right direction but they were to busy Flirting with each other to bother we finally figured it out thankfully with nobody getting hurt we won't be back your customer service sucks
