First, let me be very clear- this is a fraction of the cost of some of the more expensive all-inclusives in Mexico (and I have been to them) but you get almost identically service, and in some case it's superior (less of a zoo, more authentically Mexican, etc). Food was superb. Service excellent. The location is spectacular and peaceful. I must say, the entertainment in the evenings wsa the best resort entertainment I have seen. There were several wonderful people we will miss. Sub Director Esau constantly looked out for us to check on how we were doing. Paulina and Maria in the spa were so kind to my children that they made little hair clips for them as a momentos! Our housekeeper Lulu each day created a beautiful doll out of towels for my little girls - and our room was full of them! She also did not miss a detail. I used extra coffee, she left extra coffee, for example. Superb. Constancia at the spa gave an amazing massage! And Eden at the restaraunts always made sure we were happy- no matter how busy he was, he took the time.

I recently stayed at the Barceló Huatulco in Mexico and found it to be a mixed experience. The location is fantastic—just steps away from stunning beaches. However, the service was average at best. While the staff was polite, the responsiveness left something to be desired. There were a few instances where requests were met with delays, which detracted from the overall experience. If you prioritize location over service, Barceló Huatulco could be a good fit, but be prepared for a less-than-stellar service experience.

Stunning and wonderful service
we stayed for 6 days, and every day was wonderful. The food was really good, and the staff were super friendly and patient.
