Poor service. It might have been a five star resort when it’s built but this is not a five star place or service. Staff was busy chatting each other, inefficient, and unfriendly. Good servers are rare. Food is not good. Multiple family members got sick at some points. Overall it’s just blend and low quality.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. I was a little nervous after some of the reviews I read but everything worked out. Our wait at check-in was only a few minutes, the Family Duplex was the perfect room for a family of four (two teenagers), none of us got sick, the food and drinks were good, and the service was good. As others have said, sometimes the language barrier could present problems, but we never had any real issues. The only slip up we had was when we arrived; the first thing we did after check in was go to the concierge to get our dinner reservations. Well the concierge messed up two of them (Jan 1 and 2). He forgot to change the month to Jan and year to 2026 in his system so he made us reservations for Dec 1 and 2 (of 2025). When we showed up on Jan 1 to our reservation she told us we were a month late and couldn't fit us in. We went to the concierge and he fixed it but the only time he could get us in anywhere as 10:45pm...both nights.

We had a very pleasant stay. This is a high-class resort in Punta Cana, beautifully located on the Bavaro beach. It is large and spacious, with many sports activities such as golf and tennis, and the food is excellent. The beach is the main reason we keep coming back — clean, safe and perfectly maintained, with no outside visitors or street vendors. The gardens are beautiful and very well cared for. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh fruit juices and the wonderful service from Maria Mercedes, including her great “café negro”. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxing, the staff are kind and professional, and we would be happy to return again.

Food is good and outside of seaweed on the beach, the beach is great for kids. However maintenance, cleanliness and staff friendliness has declined at the property.

Poor service
The room cleaning is very poor, the service is terrible, and the food is awful. If you don't take out the tip before the meal and place it on the table, no one will serve you. They won't bring you water or coffee, and they won't clear your plates.
