The food was average, service was poor, stinky cafeteria, front desk guy name Eduardo was rude. Could not get a chair on the beach during the day. Disappointed in hotel experience. The spa was nice and the entertainment okay. I would not go back to this hotel.

Great place, but warning to people with allergies
This resort is AWESOME. It's beautiful, clean and well maintained. There are lots of decorations and plants and plenty of seating everywhere. The staff are kind, helpful and professional. Most of the food was good and there was lots of variety. Drinks where delicious and as strong as you like. My only complaint is allergen management at the buffet. I know this is very specific and only impacts a small portion of people, but for those people it is a pretty HUGE issue. Buffets in general are tough for people with allergies and this buffet does a very poor job of isolating main allergens in the buffet. Main allergens like sea food and eggs are spread out a little everywhere and the configuration changes every meal. Also, there are NEVER enough tongs and serving spoons which mean cross contamination guaranteed. You can go to lunch and find the French fries next to the burgers and have there own tongs, then at diner, they are next to the fried fish and deep fried cheese and share one set of tongs for all 3. Even the burgers are sometimes cooked on the same plaque as eggs, but sometimes aren't (you have to look over the counter and check for that particular meal). My allergies aren't SUPER severe, so I can take little calculated risks and do little taste tests, but someone with a more severe allergy would not like the buffet here.

Bavaro Palace
This place was beautiful, clean and amazing and we loved the food and entertainment. The view from the room was absolutely stunning with the best sunsets and sunrise and the ocean view
