Nice place but expensive to visit
This is a beautiful big place but the sea has a lot of sea weed. It is not as clear as it shows in the picture. The food was good. Entertainment was good and the grounds are lovely to walk around in. Long stretch of beach is also very nice. The only thing with Punta Cana is that the prices have none way up so I don't think I will go again.

We are not coming back to this hotel. Barcelo Bavaro Beach - Adults Only
Not worth the money, outdated, dirty rooms. Hard to find any sunbeds because according to the staff " too many people". Only food is good over there.

My first time out of the country and I will unfortunately not return to this resort.
My fiancé was disrespected and mocked by staff for being Hispanic and not speaking/understanding Spanish. We were sitting waiting for the Madonna show and a female staff member came up to us, started speaking to my fiancé in Spanish, once she realized he didn’t speak Spanish she started questioning him over and over again on how he’s Hispanic and doesn’t know Spanish. It made both him and I very uncomfortable as she would not leave him alone about it. She asked the same question to him about 5 times and he awkwardly repeated “I don’t know”. She then began laughing at him as she walked away. We were here celebrating my grandmother in laws birthday and my grandmother in law, and other families 2 girls, 3 guys-went to the steakhouse for dinner, ordered onion soup, only two onion soups came out, mind you it was like pulling teeth just to get reservations.. 40 minutes later, they had asked where their soups were, another 20 minutes went by and still no soup, so they decided to leave, of course once they started to walk out staff members finally decided to walk up to them to let them know their food was on the way. By that time, it was too late. Another incident where my fiancé and I were at the Mexican restaurant, and he was yet again disrespected for being Hispanic and not knowing Spanish. This made our trip extremely uncomfortable as we had unfortunately grew to have our guards up as soon as we sat down expecting different treatment. Was very disappointed. The only good thing was the house keeping and the pool.

Getaway as a couple (anniversary)
Overall it was a wonderful experience and would definitely come back with the whole family (grandparents, brothers, sisters and their families) food was pretty impressive (lobster tails for lunch) clean, always making sure everything is clean and platters are full. The Japanese, Mexican and Italian were my favorite restaurants à la carte... beach is white sand and beautiful. Always clean and well maintained. Lobby, sitting areas services everytime it was very good ... can't criticize anything
