Best vacation ever

This resort was beyond what I expected. Beautiful resort! Great food. Everyone the staff were so nice and remembers us! They had activities and games everyday from breakfast party to kareoke night! The resort is right on the beach with fun water activities. We did kayaking and learned how to stand up paddle board. We rode bikes the hotel provided to the shops near by for souvenirs. The resort’s location is very convenient to a lot of places you would want to go to. They also provide a free shuttle to 3 other resorts they’re affiliated with! Cheap carribean best purchase ever thank you for making it so stress free!

TURKS & CAICOS ANNIVERSARY TRIP

WE TRAVEL A LOT. LAST YEAR WAS BORA BORA AND TAHITI. THIS WAS OUR FAVORITE BY FAR. THE STAFF WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO KEEP US HAPPY. THE FOOD WAS TERRIFIC EVERY TIME. THE BAR TENDERS WELL WHAT DO YA SAY ABOUT THEM THEY WILL KEEP YOU WHERE YOU WANT TO BE OR EVEN TO FAR UGH IT HAPPENS BUT THEY WERE GREAT AS WELL. THE RESORT WAS SPECTACULAR AS WELL THE VIEWS. THE ROOM WAS DEFENSIVELY PERFECT WITH A LOADED FULL KITCHEN AS WELL A WASHER/DRYER AND 2 BATHROOMS FOR A VERY COMFORTABLE STAY. THE BED WAS VERY COMFY AS TO FIND OUT OTHERWISE AT OTHER RESORTS. THE BEACH WAS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR WATERS AND TONS OF ACTIVITIES IF YOU WANT TO PLAY. WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR SAME TIME SAME PLACE.

Awesome - but beware

What a truly lovely resort. We were very impressed with the accommodations, room and view were lovely. The beach is one of the best in the world, water is crystal clear. I would suggest you get to the beach early to insure a good chair and umbrella. The front row was taken most morning by 8. All you need do is leave a personal item on the chair or a beach towel which I suggest you get the night before. There were a few mornings when clean towels weren't available until later in the AM. They seem to be struggling a little with the all inclusive idea, it's a little confusing when trying to understand dinning options. These need to be explained a little better when you arrive. I think this would make it easier for the staff and the guest. Service overall was good, again they seems to be some confusion but I could see improvement even during the short time I was there. Now for the not so good news. When I checked in they asked for my credit card for incidentals. I gladly give them this and they place a $100.00 hold on my card. Since the resort was all inclusive when I checked out I hadn't spend any additional and I assume the hold was removed as nothing appeared on my statement. It was a little odd that I did not receive any paper work upon check out. When I got back to the US the next day there was an alert from my credit card company. It appears someone had used my card for a charge to e-bay for $1.00. The only place I used my credit card during my vacation was at the front desk of the resort. As a result it was necessary to shut down my account and now I m awaiting a new card.

Just So-So if you don't take kids

I was not expecting the amount of children at this resort. If you were by yourself as a couple and wanted to get away for some quiet time, this is not the place for you. However, I will say this is my fault as I should have booked adults only resort. Also, for some reason, if you went to get a beach chair at 8:00 in the morning, there were already towels on the first row which was very irritating. However, all beach chairs are nice and have umbrellas. The bar had good service and all of the bartenders were really personable. No complaints on the drinks except for the beer and wine selection. The good news is that every day you can catch a 5 minute shuttle to the Beach House Resort which is for adults only. Or you can also take the free bikes. But you have to make a chair reservation the morning of, which was not a problem. This beach is beautiful and peaceful. The outside bar is very small, but they provided good service and drinks. I would recommend bringing some type of cheap round float in your suitcase as there are no floating devices. The water is so beautiful, many of us discussed it would have been nice to have some small floating device. The lunch menu was good as I could find a mahi mahi salad, etc. Local beer and Coors Light was the only 2 beer choices. It is very expensive to try and buy a 12 pack at a grocery store of a better beer. We also visited Blue Haven for dinner one night which we really enjoyed. The wine was much better there. I wish we had gone to the beach for the day there as there are numerous palm trees, etc. The hotel room at the Alexandra is average. We were comfortable and it was clean, but nothing fancy. No one tries to sell you anything while at the beach too, which was really nice. We rode the free bicycles into town one day which was about a ten minute bike ride. Definitely felt safe doing this and there were lots of people riding the free bikes. The resort personnel were extremely nice and I enjoyed the trip. Limited entertainment at night.
